It was a very beautiful place! The decor was fantastic and waking up to see the friendly horses felt like it was straight out of a movie. June and Hal were very hospitable and friendly, providing good conversation when we passed each other by. It really felt like a home away from home. ❤️

This was a lovely peaceful place to stay for us to do what we needed to do. The house was clean and tidy and we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

A unique, charming cottage for a couple’s retreat

We enjoyed our stay. It suits a couple or single as you would feel safe and comfortable there. Easy drive to pub for steak/dinner or to Bell 4km Pips and Cherry awesome eggs benny, 30km to Bunya mountains for a walk in the forest, Bunya pub grub. This place is steeped in 7 generations of Australian history. The story is there in books on the table. Apart from the leafy, breezy location you can go on a tour if you are interested in learning more about how an Angus stud property works. The science involved is mind boggling. Depending on your reason for a visit. It's a great cosy atmosphere for romance or to unwind, relax, destress and read.

If you like getting away from it all, but still not far, a warm welcome from your host, impeccable and excellently equipped accommodation with all the extra touches - including water ready for our dogs - and a genuinely pet friendly place then Liz’s country cabin is the place for you. Would highly recommend it, and some time off from your phone. We’d definitely love to stay again. Thank you Liz :-)

Wicklow Cottage

Peaceful, comfortable, Wicklow Cottage is a great place to stay. For us, it was a lay day walking the South Burnett Rail Trail, resting weary bodies and waiting out the cyclone. Perfect! The cyclone might have been anti-climactic, but we cooked up a storm in the great kitchen, with everything you need. And comfortable beds! - just what the doctor ordered. Loved it. Can there be a better host than Graham? I doubt it.

A beautiful spot to relax and get away from it all. Very well equipped property with lots to keep a family group entertained. Very clean. Would recommend taking your own food and drinking water for the stay. The local bakery was ok for lunch but dinner options were limited in the area.

Julie’s place was perfect for what we needed for a quick nights getaway. Very peaceful with beautiful views and surroundings. The cabin was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed plus extra! Julie provided a delicious cheese platter and breakfast to prepare, which was incredibly thoughtful. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing night away! 🌻

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility. We came up for a group meeting and touring with our 4WD club. It was wonderful to come back at the end of each day to a beautifully appointed, comfortable quiet space to recharge and rest. A beautiful king parrot visited in the tree just outside. Amazing to see the natural beauty on our doorstep.

Tammy was responsive to messages and very obliging. Our family all loved Tammy's place. It was very welcoming and comfortable to come back to after a cycle on the rail trail. We enjoyed the family games and extras that Tammy had thought of. The house was very well appointed and in a quiet area of Blackbutt. We would not hesitate to return.

Rustic, comforting and warm - Everything you want at the Bunya Mountains. We had the best time relaxing in the house after lovely green, fresh walks nearby. Lovely deck to watch the birds and wallabies from. The Tavern minutes away had great food too. Peter was delightful to communicate with. Highly recommended!

My last minute request to use the property allowed me to spend some very special days with my grandkids. I had a very tight schedule and Chantell responded quickly to my questions. The house was very well laid out, aircon was fantastic, beds were super comfortable. My grandkids all LOVED having a sleepover with me, the big yard and all the play things. The adults enjoyed the calm feel of the house and chatting on the back deck watching the kids play. I will definitely stay here again.

This place was amazing, so much room, privacy and things to do, also the cows, horses and wildlife are amazing to watch. the house had an amazing kitchen, huge gas stove and oven and DVDs and tv to keep us occupied as well as lots of boardgames, a volleyball net and a fire pit. I would love to stay here again. Sheree was also a terrific host, gave us privacy, but responsive and super helpful when needed. Thanks for the great stay.

The Studio- Bethany

Lovely little studio with just about everything you need. Loved taking an afternoon stroll around the farm and down the roads. Very friendly hosts, Karyn responded to my questions quickly and allowed me a late checkout with grace. The WiFi is a little slow but I had plenty of phone reception to use my hotspot so it wasn’t a problem.
