This sweet lakeside cottage was a perfect long weekend getaway for me, my two kids, and our dog. The cottage is fairly private in a cluster of seasonal properties at the end of the very quiet road. Everything was very tidy and clean. Beautiful view of the lake through the trees of the master bedroom! We were cosy with the woodstove and enjoyed playing the musical instruments (guitar, ukelele and piano). Ji was an excellent host - very communicative, responsive and helpful!

This cottage is in an absolutely gorgeous setting. It is quiet and peaceful and has everything you need to make meals, watch movies, or just relax. The sunshine was pouring in the windows when we were here. There are many waterfalls within a short drive - we found 5 in one afternoon! It's a gem!

A wonderful weekend getaway. Mandy’s place has everything one could need for a weekend or week stay. The wood fire place made the weekend so cozy. We loved the view. We stayed in the winter but being right on the lake would make for an amazing summer spot. The hot tub was great and well kept. Overall a 10/10 stay! Highly recommend.

The place was prestine and very modern. The bedrooms are spacious and beds are more comfy than home. Everything about the place was perfect including the kitchen which was well stocked with cookware. I would stay at this place again without a doubt.

5 Stars – A Perfect Retreat! Red Horseshoe Retreat on Horseshoe Lake was exactly what I needed – peaceful, rejuvenating, and beautiful. From the moment we arrived, the views of the lake were stunning, especially while relaxing in the hot tub – absolute bliss! The lake house is cozy, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The beds were super comfy, and there were plenty of games to enjoy during our downtime. Lois and David are wonderful hosts – kind, responsive, and always making sure their guests feel welcome and cared for. This truly felt like a home away from home, and I left feeling refreshed in mind, body, and soul. I can’t wait to return!

We were looking for a place that was peaceful where we could relax. It was everything we were looking for. We enjoyed the hot tub and also liked that we could easily drive to additional amenities in New Ross if we needed a few groceries.

Had a weekend get away with friends and it was perfect! Airbnb was perfect! Nathalie is a great host stayed in contact with us the entire time! Sent reco’s, instructions and was so pleasant to deal with! Will definitely be coming back! And highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful family gathering at the lake house. It is such a cozy cottage and guesthouse with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We've stayed at Airbnb's before, but this one supplied above and beyond our expectations. 13 of us were comfortably accommodated, with an extra mattress and blankets supplied for an additional bed for our youngest child. The kids had a blast with the lake right there and had such fun with the kayak and pedal-boat. There was even a little kids' table and chairs for them inside with colouring books and such thoughtfully supplied. Andrew was quick to respond to any questions and really made our stay an enjoyable one. If you want an absolutely beautiful peaceful place to stay with reasonable distance to some amazing sightseeing destinations, this is the place to choose!

We had a wonderful weekend at Martin's cottage. It was an idyllic cottage experience. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings with lots of nature (loons, ducks and frogs ). It is a great place to relax. There is a good swimming area and the lake was nice and warm. I will return next time I'm in Nova Scotia!

We loved this location! As a group of middle aged men looking for a simple retreat, this location was easily accessible, offered lots of beds, and had every convenience included.

This was the ultimate peaceful and quiet area to relax and unwind. We did not spent much time there because we were attending an event in the area. However, we enjoyed the quiet peaceful evenings sitting on the screened deck. I am sure it is beautful in the summer. Wish we could have stayed longer.

To say we were satisfied is an understatement. We most definitely will be booking again to utilize in the summer season. We rented this time to be closer to the venue holding my sons wedding, and having such a wonderful home and hosts made is so much easier on us ❤️

An amazing and peaceful escape to the woods. The cabin is perfect with a beautiful deck and view. Has just the right amount of comfort while allowing you to enjoy nature. Tina and Graham are fantastic hosts, kind people, and take pride in their perfect cabin in the woods. Our dog was welcome and comfortable with lots of space to explore, they even loaned us their visibility vests and a dog bed! We will definitely be coming back.

Ashley’s place was so peaceful and just how we wanted to spend a few days over March break. The kids and us really loved the hot tub overlooking the lake and sitting under the stars in it was ultimate relaxation. Everything you need for your kitchen is there which was super handy. The place was pristine upon arrival and the furnishings were comfy and homey. The reclining leather sofa was the best spot to watch some Netflix. We definitely would love to come back in the summer!! My husband and I had the most perfect March break at Mel’s Chalet! The space was incredibly cozy. We spent so much time relaxing at the corner table by the windows, with its gorgeous lights creating such a peaceful ambiance. It was the ideal spot for us to play games, have a nice meal and read together—not to mention just enjoy each other's company in such a serene setting. The bedroom was another highlight for us, complete with a projector that made our evenings so special. We loved getting to rewatch Andor before the second season; it was such a fun and memorable way to unwind. LOVED the speakers. The aesthetic of the place is absolutely beautiful, with a charming cottage vibe that made every moment feel magical. You can tell every little detail has been thought out to create the perfect atmosphere. Honestly, we loved everything about our stay and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend this amazing spot!

Great property, just as described and like the photos. The fire pit and arcade machine were both a big hit. Highly recommended.
