We had a lovely stay at the Secret Garden House. The spa was wonderful and it was fully heated for us on arrival which we really appreciated. There was everything there for our stay on arrival and the house was spotless and warm with lovely furniture and decor with a NZ flavour. It was a house that was decorated with care and love.

Ann's place was great and offered a beautiful location to enjoy Taupō and the surrounding region! Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was exactly as described - spacious and well-equipped, providing ample room for everyone to unwind after a full day of exploring. Each person had their own space, which made for a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Our hosts were incredibly accommodating, especially when we managed to lock ourselves out! They swiftly helped us regain access to the house, ensuring we didn’t miss a beat. The property itself was neat and tidy, with everything you could possibly need, making it feel like a home away from home. There were plenty of spots to relax, both inside and out, and the spa was a real highlight - perfect for soothing those sore muscles after a day of adventure. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped getaway!

When we arrive at the house, it has exceeded our expectations. It has everything we need for the stay. Very beautiful view of the whangamata bay. The golden hour was breathtaking and we really love this. It was a very nice to spend my birthday in Tania’s home. The whole house was very lovely and spacious. Minimalistic style but very modern. It can fit a whole group but really enjoyed it still with my two friends and my dog. The hot tub with the view has the cherry on top. Tania was responsive with all our queries. I cant explained further more the place. All we know is that we enjoy the house and all its perks in it. Very very much recommended for taupo staycation ❤️

My group and I had a great time at this house. it was easily able to accommodate 10+ adults and had space for all of us to relax and make the most of our time there. Barry was a great host, very responsive to messaging and flexible with our groups requests. We would happily come back.

Staying at Sunshine Acre was an amazing experience for us! The place itself has stunning views. There was a lot to do for both kids and adults (spa pool, outdoor fireplace, watching chickens and other animals). Nick and Stacey were so kind and friendly. They even invited our kids to join their son’s birthday party under the stars / movie night. Thanks for everything — we really enjoyed it!

The view from Glenn's place really sold it for us. The fact you cannot really see any other dwellings and just the mountain and lake in all their awe is very special indeed. We would have appreciated some outdoor lounging/beanbag type furniture to truly appreciate the view and a safer way to access the hot tub (the ladder has to be carefully stabilised to climb safely) but did not at all detract.

A taste of Tuscany in Newstead is all we can say!! Great indoor outdoor flow with all the amenities to keep people active and engaged. The tennis court provided entertainment and controversy while the spa and pool provided relaxation and ambiance. The complementary bubbles received on arrival was well needed after a long trip with a talkative passenger. Great entertainment facilities and loved the touch of country surroundings, would stay again.

Out of every place we stayed in New Zealand, this was by far our favorite. It was very clean, modern, spacious, great location, and the views were priceless. When we come back to NZ we will definitely stay here again. What an incredible place.

A beautiful renovated old house with higher ceilings and lots of nice decorations, big rooms and lounge/dining area/kitchen and a big garden. Good beds, shower, TV and WiFi. It has almost everything except a BBQ. There is a washing mashine and dryer (which does not work that well anymore), dishwasher, a pool with salt water, a wonderful whirl pool which we had to get up to temperature first and could only use from the second day. It is a shame that they put in a carpet in the lounge/dining are and another carpet on top. This carpet curled and was a trip hazard. The one toilet and the dryer were not clean but the rest was good. There was salt but no pepper. It also provided tea, coffee, sugar, oil. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. We forgot a bag and they sent it on to us free of charge. I enjoyed the closed verandah and used is as an office but the socket behind the desk did not work. We found a power strip and a (dirty) extension cable. There is also an iron and ironboard.

We were very happy to spend the last 4 nights of our NZ trip at Toka Ridge 4. The property was pristine with beautiful views of the lake. It was a quiet area that felt a little remote, but the shops, restaurants and bustle of Roturua were just 15-20 mins away. Two easy Alltrails walks were within walking distance of the property. The Hamurana Lakefront Reserve Walkway (offering great views of the lake) began just down the road and, near its end, the Hamurana Springs Loop Walkway (a lovely/surprising mix of redwoods and cold springs with lots of ducks) began across the street. A few mosquitos did find us while visiting the jacuzzi just after dusk, but did not bother us during the day. The consensus of our group was that Toka 4 was the nicest Airbnb of our 5+ week NZ stay. Great place to stay. Well we’ll thought out property and comfortably accommodated our group of 8. Has absolutely everything you need. Great quality linens and towels etc and the whole place felt fresh and clean. Team was great to deal with through the booking process

Spacious room with large, comfortable bed and luxurious linen, great shower. Susan and Pierre were very friendly and welcoming. Pierre cooked a delicious breakfast for us while we chatted in the kitchen. Absolutely 5*

The most beautiful home. Space, style fully and equipped beyond many places I’ve stayed. Stunning, absolutely stunning location, you would never tire of the view. Hope to come again.

Nothing fancy, but decent place to stay and great value for money. Location was great, everything the village had to offer on walking distance. For the kids the playground and swimming pool were cool. They also had an amazing time with the other kids. Lack of smart tv was compensated by a nice collection of dvds at the reception desk which were free to use. Night sky was amazing with Mars and Jupiter in clear site.

Das 'Blockhaus' war super gemütlich, geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Die sternenklaren Nächte auf der Terrasse waren traumhaft und morgens wurden wir von den Pferden oder der Katze begrüßt. Ein wunderschöner Platz um zu entspannen und zu genießen. We had an amazing stay and it was even better than we thought! Super private with an easy access road, it was the perfect place to unwind for the night. We really appreciated all the small touches and absolutely loved the two outdoor baths. Bed was super comfy and the whole place was very clean and had everything you need. Will definitely be recommending to our friends, thanks again!!

Greg is a lovely host! Managed to catch him on arrival, he was very informative and welcoming! The views are stunning and it’s such a great place for tranquility and to relax, it was very very warm so we hung out, outside. Greg provided water, beverages, coffee and cereal. Made the stay worth while! We felt very lucky to enjoy the hot tub and sunsets

Dave is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed during our stay. The cabin is cosy and well appointed and in a beautiful sunny and peaceful location. Our dogs loved the space and especially enjoyed meeting Dave's own dog (and they are very sorry about the destroyed toy!). Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with their 4 legged friend. We will definitely be back again.

Having stayed at a B&B the night before, we were wishing to stay on one more night somewhere more quiet and more us. Unable to use a booking service we normally do, due to their website undoing maintenance, I soon spotted cozy cabin. We were not disappointed at all. Quick response to booking request, welcome arrival after a long day in the bush hiking. Clean, tidy, nice use of recycling timber for building this beautiful cabin. Loved outdoor bath, could have slept in that! Being so new, still had a lot of privacy screening to provide by the lovely trees planted for screening. Great outdoor facilities, camp fire, sitting area, BBQ. Little bit of noise from the close main road was the one and only down side. Overall great experience. Thank you Mandy.

A lovely stay! Beautiful private outlook. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the after sun with a cup of tea. Every you need in the tiny home. A short drive into Cambridge. It was great to have local activities listed by the host. Thank you for a lovely weekend away at cute country cottage!

My partner and I stayed here for our 4-year anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! The cabin is so cozy and beautifully set up—everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. We especially loved relaxing in the spa as we stargazed as the stars are so clear out here. The space had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to a comfy queen bed and even some fun board games! It’s clear the hosts have thought of every little detail to make your stay comfortable. The property felt very private, even though the owners are nearby—they respected our space completely. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommend!
