We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

We stayed for 2 nights and the weather was horrendous BUT the cottage more than made up for this. We had everything we needed for some peace and quiet and a well needed rest. Cosy, welcoming and SPOTLESSLY clean! The cottage is on the main road but we never heard any traffic and the river running alongside was a lovely backdrop. Log fire, Netflix, a hot tub great WiFi and plenty of space for us all (including our dog). There is also a sauna which we didn’t use. The cottage is well equipped for cooking and was never cold at all! Plenty of steaming hot water and lovely big bath was a highlight too. We didn’t need to contact Jane for much as her instructions were so easy to understand. The couple of messages we did send however were responded to immediately. We will definitely be back and hopefully have better weather so we can explore the local area more. Thanks so much Jane and see you again soon! x

Such a magical place so peaceful and well looked after couldn’t have asked for anything better me and my partner and 2 kids really enjoyed our long weekend there will definitely be coming back

The stables exceeded expectations. Great location, great hosts and lovely property. Clean and tidy with lots of little additions such as the cheese board and Prosecco on arrival and the fresh eggs laid by the chickens that live on the property, really nice touch. Hottub was the highlight of our weekend which we made great use of. Would totally recommend!

The coach house was perfect for our family group of 10 adults. The sitting room and dining area was a lovely space to relax and dine in. We loved the wood burning stove which gives out such a good heat. The whole house was warm and cosy during a cold February weekend. Bed linen and towels were good quality and we enjoyed tasting local produce from the hamper. The drive in was further than we had expected but it’s a lovely private and peaceful location. The hot tub was a welcome addition although it did take a long time ( plus lots of logs) to get up to temperature. I would recommend the Coach House for a large party or gathering - we all enjoyed our stay!

First holiday in the Lake District and it was great! The cottage was brilliant, just right for us, clean and tidy, 4 poster bed was impressive and not forgetting the hot tub which was excellent after a day's walking. Hazel and Steve were very helpful on recommended walks, we didn't use the car since all the walks in the local area were fantastic. We walked for 5 days, weather was great, one of the best hoildays we have had, so peaceful, freindly people whereever we went to, on the 6th day we rested....the feet deserved a break! Thank you Hazel and Steve for making it such a wonderful stay, it would be nice to do it again. Best wishes, Grace & Alan

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. It was clean snug and warm and had everything we needed to make it a memorable weekend. Diana is very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home straight away I would thoroughly recommend it

Our 2nd time at Richard and Isabel’s place, ideal location and really comfortable place to stay after a days walking in the lakes. Richard is friendly and easy to communicate with.

Had a lovely weekend at the cottage. Great location with easy access to local amenities. Had a couple of nice meals from a local pub and restaurant both recommended by Alan the host. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

A beautiful little cottage in a fantastic location close to the beach and not too far from town. Very peaceful and chilled out vibe. Brilliant holiday.

Fantastic getaway with my wife and our dog. Easy to find, and very good for getting around the northern area of the lakes. Grasmere around 35-40mins. The cottage was great! Loved the decor. Outside area was great, shame we didn’t come during the summer to use the fire pit. Maybe next time! All in all, a great stay! Would recommend!

We stayed at Tide View for a few days in March ‘25. The property was easy to find with parking on the road outside. Great location with stunning views across the bay and local nature reserve, a short walk from the bookshops and cafes in the town. The house itself was clean and well equipped with comfy beds and everything we needed for our stay (including towels for the dog!). A warm, cosy and peaceful retreat in a beautiful location. The cottage was very cosy and catered for all our needs. The cottage is in a great location for The Lakeland Trial we had come to see and we enjoyed the walks and the scenery. We had a lovely two night stay at Arlene’s cottage exploring the local area. We couldn’t have asked more of Arlene,b she is so lovely. We had to change our booking bates due to illness and Arlene accommodated us a month later very willingly. She was available to us almost from the moment we arrived, is. Dry friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The cottage is just as described, well equipped and beautifully clean. We hope to be back in the autumn for a few more days Thank you x.

Lovely spacious cottage within easy reach of Cockermouth. Had everything provided could possibly need and even a jar of dog treats. The whole cottage was immaculate and clean. Would certainly recommend and return myself again in the future.

We had a great stay at Strawberry Cottage for our honeymoon - the cottage is super clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and the rooms had lots of space and storage which is always appreciated. The cottage is a two minute walk to the shops and restaurants in the town centre, but is just far away enough to not have lots of footfall outside. Ade and Kerry replied really fast to our messages. We’d love to stay at Strawberry Cottage again!

Loved my stay at this beautiful cottage. Such a spacious, homely cottage with an amazing big enclosed garden for the dog. I’ll definitely be back!

Our second stay at this lovely cosy cottage. It’s starting to feel like a home away from home and we are falling in love with the area

This was stunning, the cottage looks exactly like the photos. Immaculate and finished to a really high standard. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Wood burner was perfect as it was cold during our stay. Great location for local walks, restaurants and supermarket. Great meal at the local pub. Hot tub was a delight after some long walks in the hills. Couldn't fault it, Catherine was a fantastic host!

We had a lovely stay at Alison's place. The cottage is very comfortable. Spacious well equipped kitchen and good log burner in the sitting-room. We were there in mid winter, so I was concerned I'd be cold in bed, but there was a great vintage 100% wool blanket that kept us really warm. She had lots of information; books and leaflets on things to do in the area, which was really helpful. It's a lovely part of Scotland.

Excellent modern cottage on the outskirts of Gatehouse of Fleet, in the hills up to Galloway forest. A great retreat for quietness and to get away from it all. The hosts are excellent, this being on a farm it was nice to see the animals. Would love to be back someday. Enjoyed having 7 days of sun sitting on that patio.

Had a wonderful stay in this lovely little cottage, Host was very responsive and helpful. 5 mins walk into the centre of Keswick with all the pubs, shops, restaurants. Very quiet area too.

The house was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. We appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations which made it feel especially welcoming. It is in a scenic and peaceful area with some interesting places to explore nearby. The conservatory and garden would make it an ideal place to visit in the summer. We would certainly recommend this property.
