Birgir's cabin is very snug & warm -- festive with bright red lights -- everything in its nook -- and an amazing perch to see across the valley & short drive to the fjord. Our trip was at the end of December and most days/nights were snowy & with some rain -- very beautiful, but definitely take heed of Birgir's cautions about driving in such weather (which held true, even as we had rented a 4-wheel drive Jeep!) -- it is a steep hill up to the cabin, and we did get stuck on our 2nd to last day -- but fortunately the neighbors in the house down the way were incredibly helpful & we got the car out! We enjoyed exploring Akranes & Borganes. We also did see the northern lights on the one clear night -- beautiful to see the green shimmering curtain of light above the steppes/mountains across the valley. Birgir was both proactive and very responsive.

Just as described! Krista was very helpful with recommendations and directions. Plenty of space and great living and dining room. Views are amazing. The hot tub was amazing, definitely try after a long day of hikes!

Aron’s place is small and cozy with beautiful views! The goal was to see the northern lights and it turned out to be the perfect spot! Truly unforgettable!

This place was absolutely perfect in every way and far exceeded our expectations. We arrived on a perfectly clear afternoon to see the most incredible sunset, the hot tub already warm and ready for us. We got to see the most spectacular showing of the northern lights. the chair looking out over the lake was my favorite spot and the beds were so cozy and comfortable. Would 100% recommend.

Honestly nothing short of amazing! The photos don’t do it near enough justice! The host was very polite responsive and even went out of his way to fill our hot tub up for us. The cabin itself is beautiful and clean. We had the best time! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Lovely cabin, everything is clean and nice, they care about every little detail. Jacuzzi is amazing, sauna is very easy to use, we happened to watch amazing northern lights show from the hot tub. There’s a lot of hiking trails around and the lake area itself is beautiful. Also the cabin is equipped with everything you need, all the grill tools, washing powder, robes and slippers, everything is perfectly thought through. Highly recommend!!

This was an incredible place to stay during our trip to Iceland! It was exactly what we were looking for- cozy, quiet, and beautiful! The hot tub was a great touch and the view was incredible! We hope to be back! :)

Beautiful, cozy, and well-equipped, with stunning views and complete privacy. The location is perfect for a peaceful retreat, but in winter, a 4x4 is a must due to snowdrifts and challenging access. Despite that, everything about the stay was perfect, and we would highly recommend it!

I booked this cabin for a short stay in Iceland to see the various sites of the golden circle. The location was perfect for accessing the ring road, as well as beautifully remote and private. The views were stunning and the amenities were fantastic. Check in was extremely smooth and the house is laid out perfectly to feel right at home. It is furnished very well and the hot tub/sauna were incredible. Everything was easy to use and worked without issue. I would highly recommend this stay and, without a doubt, we will be returning next time.

A bit remote, but very peaceful place. Make sure you have supplies or be prepared to drive 20+ for the most simple sandwich. It was pretty chilly when first entering, but the place heats up pretty quickly. Soaking in the hot tub and looking up to see all the stars and aurora activity was pretty special. Tumi upgraded me to the main house which was great, as he needed to do some work on the cabin. On your trip to Thingvellir National Park you'll pass the Þórufoss falls. Use the google link to get directions to the place!

Wat een geweldige locatie. Omringd door bomen en een heerlijke hottub. Veel bezienswaardigheden binnen 30 min rijden. De inrichting is heel sfeervol. Het was een uitdaging om te zorgen dat het niet te warm werd in huis. We hebben met onze dochters kunnen sleeën. Kortom we hebben een geweldige tijd gehad

Frederikke byla velice milá a pozorná,vše dobře popsala. V chatě jsme se cítili jako doma,mohli jsme použít hot pot,který nám majitelka nastavila na požadovanou teplotu. Všude bylo čisto. Děkujeme.

Thanks for this great accommodation. It was a pleasure to stay in this nice house. Also with cold weather conditions, you can relax in the sauna or the heated pool. We made the trip to see a nice night sky and northern lights. We got it all and enjoy it. It was a great time there! Thank you very much.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Die Lage am See ist ein absoluter Traum, es war wunderbar ruhig. Die Unterkunft war geräumig und sehr sehr gut ausgestattet. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr gut erreichbar und überaus hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Our second stay here and can confirm that this airbnb is by far the most peaceful we have ever stayed in. We are always joking how we wish we could buy the place and live there forever! It has beautiful views, is private, clean, and overall just perfect. We are already getting our calendar together to be booking our next stay here!

This feels like less of a "review" and more of our most sincere and incredibly heartfelt Thank You to Zoei and Bab. We came to Iceland for our secret elopement and booked our flights only after finding this Airbnb... we knew it was the perfect setting for our private ceremony, and there are truly no words to describe just how magical Zoei's Garden is. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the immense care and love and spiritual energy that they have poured into every corner of this home / property. The private hot spring lagoon was the most magical we experienced our entire time in Iceland. This home is by far the best kept secret on Airbnb, and hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. Zoei was extremely communicative and helpful and so sweet and kind. It felt like we were staying at the home of a dear friend. We will never forget Zoei's Garden and cannot wait to come back. We had an absolutely amazing stay here! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Getting to the lodge was easy, both during the day and at night, and the check-in process couldn't have been smoother. The place is exactly as described, if not more beautiful in person. The views of the mountains and lake from the lodge are simply breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to catch glimpses of the Northern Lights! The location is also ideal, with many excursions not being too far away. A helpful tip - you’re planning to do the Northern Lights tour, we discovered that the stops to view them were only about a 5-minute drive from the lodge, so you might want to consider just driving around to catch them! Gudrun was fantastic and was always available to answer any questions we had. My family and I loved every moment of stay and We definitely hope to return in the future.

We had such a great time, the cabin exceeded expectations in every way! Lilja was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had. The most beautiful surroundings and so peaceful! We enjoyed the hot tub, dart board and pool table. We even got to see the auroras on 2 separate nights which was a real highlight! The kitchen is small with a small over, this didn’t matter for us but could be useful to know if you were not planning to go out much. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin!!

Wow! The cabin is in the most spectacular location with amazing views. Inside is spacious and well equipped with just what you need, also nice and warm. The outdoor hot pot is a great addition. Instructions to the cabin were easy to follow taking us straight to it. Neighbouring property’s around but the cabin is private and peaceful. Would certainly stay again.

We had a great time at the cabin! Actually, one of the highlights was our host Ylfa, who was always very helpful, provided a lot of very detailed information up front and reacted very quickly to all remaining questions we had - the communication was really a pleasure to us and on a level I have not experienced on Airbnb before. About the cabin: Our kids (3 and 6 years old) very much liked what they referred to as "the play cave", which is the upstairs sleeping loft. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary things needed, far exceeding what would be minimal kitchen setup. Another highlight to us was the hot tub, which we used almost every day (despite wind and a bit of rain outside). The open view towards the west is very suitable to search for Northern Lights in the dark or just watch the stars. We mainly used the cabin as our homebase to different day tours around in western Iceland. In total, we really had a great time!
