We had an absolutely wonderful month long stay at this lovely cottage. Walter could not have been a more gracious host and so accommodating and caring when we had some trouble with our car in the winter weather, felt right at home! The nature is stunning and we can’t wait to come back in the summer sometime :)

This is our second stay at Fox Bluff in the last eight months, and we plan to come back many more times. It’s a beautiful home, and Lo is a brilliant host. She checks in regularly to make sure you have everything you need, but isn’t intrusive. The house is extremely well equipped, but uncluttered and airy. Secluded and peaceful, but not remote. There are a few nice restaurants and shops ~5 minutes drive away, in Brooklin, and then larger Blue Hill is a pleasant 20 minute drive: there’s a top-notch independent bookstore, Blue Hill Books; the Blue Hill Co-Op; excellent coffee at Bucklyn Coffee; nice restaurants and shops, etc. There are great trails and shoreline spots all across the peninsula, plus kayaking, sailing, beachcombing, etc. So many stars at night! We’ve always felt comfortable, safe and welcome in the house, and with Lo as our host. It’s our special place and will become yours, too.

My husband and I had a great 3-night stay at Liz’s cabin. It was an enchanting place to spend a rainy long weekend with all the warmth and coziness that one would want from a cabin in the woods. As others have noted, the location is superbly private and relaxing! We loved sitting by the fire, having our morning coffee on the enclosed porch and walking the pond-side trails right outside the front door. The cabin makes for a great jumping-off point, too, for lots of great things to explore in the midcoast including Odd Ale Wives, Oxbow Brewing and some great eats in Damariscotta. We really enjoyed our time. Liz and her husband were awesome hosts.

You cannot beat this location!! With the beach directly across the street, two great restaurants within a few steps, and only 10 minutes drive into Camden, this is the perfect vacation destination! We could not have asked for a better place to relax and have some fun adventures in Camden Hills and Islesboro. The house was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we could have wanted. We ended up eating out for almost every meal (so many great restaurants in the area!), but the kitchen was very well stocked to make meals in. Brendon and Krista were very quick and proactive with communication and sending check-in instructions. Thanks for such a great stay!!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

Gorgeous location and very functional home. We were there during winter and loved the frozen water and lovely surroundings. Took nice walks. Look forward to coming back in summer!

Crissy and this beautiful cozy cabin in the woods, are both wonderful! Arrangements couldn’t be easier, lots of recommendations for things to do, but just hanging out in the home is nice too. Great place to unwind.

Overall, Deb's place is very nice and served well as a home away from home. It was the best Airbnb that I've ever rented. The neighborhood is quiet and the road that runs by the house has little traffic (it's a dead-end). The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. It takes 10 min to get to downtown Camden. On the downside, the furnace had just broken before we got there and so it got a little cool. Further, we could not get the jacuzzi to work and the flooring is a little beat up. But, the positives drastically outweighed the negatives.

We loved our stay at Charle's place. The setting is serene, peaceful and absolutely beautiful, and the house itself is perfectly designed to take in the surroundings, the view and the early morning sunlight. We spent most of our time in and around the house... the kitchen was probably the most on point airbnb kitchen we've ever experienced and we cooked a full thanksgiving meal! The space was perfect for our family of five plus our dog... we especially enjoyed the woodstove, the big window seat by the giant window facing the cove. We also enjoyed the short hikes around the property, specifically the small mountain up the road which is an easy way to get up to some beautiful views of the surrounding coves. This is a pretty remote place, which is what we were looking for and what makes it feel so magical! We're now very excited to go back to this area and do more exploring.

The Windhaven Guesthouse is a beautifully and thoughtfully decorated gem of a place, tucked in among the trees between two sections of stunning rocky beach and shoreline. The guesthouse isn't directly on the water but you can see the ocean through the trees and hear it night, and you have immediate access to private natural beaches to enjoy at your leisure. We explored several of Vinalhaven's Land Trust nature trails and sanctuaries, but enjoyed watching the tide come and go on the stretches of beach directly around the guesthouse very much as well. The gardens on the property are lovely as well. Just beautiful.

The house is clean, the bed was comfortable, the location was amazing. We were not ready to leave the island. We found so many hidden beautiful places on the island and saw the most amazing sunset, explored tide pools and saw so many deer. We hiked every day and every place had something different to offer.

Jennifer’s place was lovely. We were ready to move in! She was super flexible about arrival and departure. Gorgeous views and walks. Only fyi that sound carried between floors/bedrooms. Not an issue if you’re it a light sleeper. Definitely would go back!

We loved getting the chance to be right up by the water and appreciated the quiet and serene location! While it may not be the biggest place to stay it definitely has everything you need and is a really impressive little cottage. I will say you definitely do need to heed the warning about the stairs and getting in and out of the bathtub (not something we struggled with but definitely could be a struggle for young children or someone less mobile). Rock was a great and responsive host and we would love to come back during a warmer time period where we could enjoy the surrounding outdoors a little more and utilize this place again!

My husband and I stayed at Amelia’s house for a quick getaway and we wished we could have stayed longer. The house is cozy and we felt right at home. And the grounds were just stunning! Sunsets were the best! It was a very relaxing space to be in and a great location to be in to make day trips in the area. Would definitely stay here again, and might even bring the kids!

We loved our long weekend at Joe’s place. The gorgeous waterfront setting, the history, the utterly peaceful vibe, brilliant starlit night skies, reading by candlelight every night…it was a special experience to be there, and we hope to return. Thank you Joe!!

Simply perfect! Everything in the kitchen is new, in working order, extremely well-stocked. The home is clean and comfortable with amazing fine art everywhere. And the view! We couldn't get enough of the beauty, watching the Ospreys fishing, walking the little beach. Lots of hiking close-by. Rockland has great seafood market, bakery, bookstore. The Transportation Museum is excellent.

We could not have asked for a better stay! The house is both gorgeous and functional, a perfect layout with views from every room and a well-appointed kitchen for guests that like to cook! Communication with Timothy was easy and clear. We cannot wait for the next opportunity to rent this house, any time of year!

we absolutely LOVED staying here. the place was perfect for everything we were looking for; activities, shops, food. Barbara was responsive and very helpful. the okce was amazin, cannot stress enough how perfect the stay was!

Amazing view! Very clean house, well decorated and lots of basic amenities to feel at home in the kitchen or just lounging on the couch or porch. Sitting on the porch was my favorite part of the house. The beds are comfortable and plenty of sleeping space for 6 of us (4 adults/2 kids). You can’t beat the view and especially during sunset! Host was very responsive and helpful. Location is good. The general store and a couple restaurants are within walking distance. Since the fire a few months back, the one restaurant is currently operating out of a food truck but still the same delicious food. Most other places require a short drive. There’s a small beach nearby, which we also took advantage of during low tide.

We just completed our second summer and are still in awe of everything this property has to offer. From the amenities inside to water accessibility, access to many fabulous restaurants, and complete silence from every corner of the property, this house on this island gives you everything you could ever hope for in a summer retreat. George is a fantastic host, extremely responsive, and always willing to help. The property is well-kept, and the house is clean and full of additional supplies. You can't look for much more than what this property offers.

We stayed at Jonathan’s place for my bachelorette trip to Maine and it was absolutely perfect for a quiet ladies weekend with beautiful surroundings. The house had nearly everything we needed, and everything we weren’t able to bring or find at the house could easily be purchased at the nearby Fales Store that Jonathan recommended. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked and we had more than enough blankets, towels, etc. to accommodate 11 women. Jonathan’s place provided a halfway point between Portland and Acadia National Park where we spent part of our weekend in peak fall color. It’s also a short 30min drive from Camden Harbor where we chartered a sailboat before coming back to a cozy fire in the wood burning fireplace and a gas firepit in the backyard. The house had plenty of space for all of us to sleep and to socialize. Jonathan was very responsive at check-in and check-out. We felt so welcome - 10/10 would recommend, we had an incredible weekend!

We had a wonderful time. The views were beautiful. There were a few minor things that needed to be fixed.
