Kat was an amazing host, full of excitement for the area! This place had ALL the wants for a restful place to stay : bed was comfy, shower was hot with awesome pressure, large enough space to hold luggage and still be able to walk, clean clean and the breakfasts were incredible. Kat wanted you to start your day with a full belly! Don’t miss the opportunity to book it if it’s open.

Jane & David are lovely hosts and they have a great house. They went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Best seafood breakfast ever btw. The bedroom was private and very comfortable, with all the necessaries, a large bathroom, a great view and even fresh flowers. What else can I say except enjoy your stay with them, we did very much, and we look forward to visiting them again.

Rachel’s place was perfect. Being new to the island, I had lots of questions during my planning to take my family to Matinicus for a week and Rachel responded quickly and kindly each time. She even bought a new and improved blender for us in case the other two in the kitchen weren’t quite right. The house suited us to a tea. Comfortable and peaceful. The perfect place for my family to reconnect after being spread out during a busy summer. But here is the best example of Rachel’s kindness: We forgot our car key in the house and only realized once we were on the boat back. We called Rachel from Rockland make sure the key was still in the house. She quickly found it and ran it to the mail plane who was able to get it us a few hours later. It was amazing.

We had the most wonderful time at Kat’s place. Everything was perfect – the spacious , tastefully furnished bedroom with a large bed, the clean and beautiful bathroom, and not to forget the delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and lovely scones made by Kat herself. We went to Acadia which we liked a lot ; however, there are many other places nearby which are also gorgeous, e.g. Harriman Point. We come from Europe and were travelling through the New England States. Kat’s place in Maine was almost our last stop. Although we enjoyed our stay in the US a lot, Kat’s place was probably the best. She is a perfect landlady and was very helpful giving us lots of good and useful tips ( e.g. the address of a great lobster place ). We particularly enjoyed our discussions with her about gardening, cooking and everyday topics thus getting a good insight into the American way of life. This stay will always stay in our memory and we do hope that we will be able to come and see Kat again.

HEAVENLY - All caps needed. Connie is an excellent host. Warm and welcoming with clear communication. Connie’s home is a true haven, retreat. Quiet and peaceful. A night sky full of stars, and at most times not a sound but the wind in the trees. A three minute stroll from your private room through a wildflower meadow path that looks out to a stunning water view as it takes you through pines and moss to a private rocky beach. What’s not to like? Repeat, HEAVEN. Comfortable, cozy bed. Plenty of space for belongings. A spotlessly clean large private en-suite bathroom. Delicious thoughtful breakfast treats, excellent coffee, and respectful use of her lovely home. I didn’t want to leave. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Can’t wait to return.

Best Airbnb. The hosts were so accommodating and kind and even made us delicious breakfast sandwiches before our early morning Acadia hike. If I’m ever back in the area, I would not hesitate to stay at the Maine Hideaway again.

We loved our stay here! First of all, Stonington is so charming. Secondly, everything about this bed and breakfast was exceptional. We stayed only one night on our way to isle au haut. But we felt welcome right off bat. Our check in was flexible. We slept comfortably. The room was small but it was perfect for resting our heads for the night. Bathroom was clean and well equipped. The next morning before we left - great coffee was laid out promptly at 630, which we got to enjoy along with a beautiful view of the harbor. Good conversation with others staying at the b&b – then came yogurt, granola, fresh baked bread and muffins, and an amazing omelet with all the freshest ingredients. If we are ever out this way this will be our first choice to stay. All of our thanks to our lovely hosts!!

Leslie was a wonderful, host. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at her beautiful house. The room felt private and comfortable upstairs with a lovely bathroom. Leslie makes home made blueberry muffins and has coffee waiting downstairs. She was engaging and thoughtful. I can’t recommend enough.

Nice B&B to stay close to Port Clyde, ME where we took the ferry to Monhegan Island the next morning. Owners were very friendly and prepared a breakfast that included homemade blueberry muffins. Historical home with lots of interesting things.

We had a wonderful time at The Victorian by the Sea. An absolutely gorgeous setting. Caroline is a gem. She made sure all our needs were met and greeted us with conversation and amazing breakfasts! Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing weekend at their place! It exceeded our expectations and was really charming. Very friendly, charming, and accommodating! View out of the room was so pretty and the breakfast was delicious. Exceptional! Would highly recommend!

Very clean and comfortable. Room was slightly smaller than expected but overall comfortable. We did have to take two flights of stairs to get to our room.

We really enjoyed our time at Muzzy Ridge! Elizabeth met us at the door upon our late arrival, gave us a tour and the room was very cozy (even nicer than in the photo I think!). Bed were super comfortable and the duvet provided extra heat as it got a bit chilly at night. Eggs, milk and yogurt were provided was was greatly appreciated. Elizabeth was very friendly and offered a hiking suggestion that we really enjoyed! Cute spot and accessible to Camden/Rockport where we spent more of our time. Thanks again, Elizabeth!
