This home was the perfect lakeside retreat for our time in the Mt Vernon / Howard Ohio area. We cannot recommend it enough!

Just returned from our second stay at this Mt Vernon home. Very clean and comfortable. It is a great location, walking distance to many of Mt Vernon's restaurants and activities. We use it as a home base when we visit our son at Kenyon. We've already booked several return visits and look forward to our upcoming stays!

Just as described. October visit, house was toasty warm and comfortable sleeping. We like the old home charm.

Drew’s home is in a beautiful setting and very quiet. It is short walking distance to Kenyon. We loved the natural light, comfortable beds, and well-stocked kitchen. A very easy place to stay if visiting Gambier.

Barb’s place was perfect for our family’s needs. We were in town to see our oldest son’s swim meet at Kenyon College. 10 minute drive away.

This was our best Airbnb stay ever. Clean, clear, informative and detailed guidance as to ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING made the stay easy and worry free. The hosts evidently spent time anticipating every possible need of guests and providing for such. Beautiful setting, lots of amenities. Loved it!

The Blue Heron cottage was a great place to stay. Awesome open space. Beautiful view of the woods and very peaceful. I wish we had more time to actually relax. After moving the parents back to town it was a great spot to come back to after long days. Bedrooms were very comfy and very well laid out. Kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and perfect for anything you need. Hope to return soon.

We had an amazing stay in Gambier. The home was just as described....beautiful, quaint, and cozy. Forest was a fantastic host. Highly recommended!!

Very nice host and nice property, down the street from all my family so very convenient. Price seemed a bit high but I bought late for Thanksgiving so it was the only property available and cost may have been surge pricing. Host seemed to try to make up for the price with creature comforts, like a bottle of wine and chocolates, which was nice.

This property was wonderful! Nearby to everything you need. A beautiful private little street off the county road. The shared pool, with the other 9 or so units would be awesome in the summer! Braden was a great host, responding timely to the single enquiry I made! You might think twice about the price, given nearby properties seemed cheaper, but it was well worth it for us! This place is perfect for a weekend trip to Amish country!

Vince and Whitney got back to me quickly when ever I needed something. Their home was private and very clean. All of the instructions were very clear, and could be followed easily. Each floor had a bathroom which makes larger groups easier to manage for showers. The hot tub was lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed to make food while we were there. Would definitely think about this place in the future!

The cabin was exceptionally clean and cozy with a lovely view. It felt more private than we were expecting based on some of the other reviews we'd read. The hosts were very responsive and they provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We definitely agree that everyone should get donuts from Miller's Bakery and pancakes from Boyd & Wurthmann - both are the best we've ever had!! Another thing worth mentioning is that the fitness center at the Berlin Resort, which was included in the stay, has a fantastic strength training area.

Perfect place to stay. So much to do in the area, walk across the street to go shopping. Place was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

We loved our recent stay at The Fallow Cabin! Tony is responsive and gave great instructions so our arrival was smooth. Our 3 grade school age kids enjoyed playing board games near the fireplace, making waffles, evening dips in the hot tub, and exploring the surrounding yard. The cabin’s aesthetic is a tasteful balance of rustic cabin and modern decor and we felt right at home. My wife and I appreciated catching up on rest - the king size bed is extremely comfortable and cozy! We did some great hikes nearby in Mohican State Forest and also enjoyed antiquing and mini golf a short drive away near Mansfield. We would recommend this stay for couples, friends, or families looking to slow down, relax, and/or explore local attractions. We look forward to our next stay!

This stay was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend this space for anyone, but especially for a larger group of people. A group of us got together for alumni weekend at Ohio State and Pete's location was perfect! The home is pristine and every detail has been considered. Our party of 10 all had a bed to sleep on and had plenty of privacy. The kitchen/living room space is the perfect gathering spot indoors. The outdoor space is truly magical! The pool and hot tub were essential for our stay (in late October) and the outdoor fireplaces were also great gathering spots. This home allowed us to visit and catch up without having to go out all the time for our trip. The location is perfect - it is close to OSU as well as the interstate if you need to get anywhere in Columbus. Pete was an outstanding host. He was responsive almost immediately if we had any questions and went out of his way to show us how to utilize more complicated things. I hope we can return soon!

A great option for a family of parents, grandparents and siblings in town to attend Kenyon graduation!

We had a wonderful time, it was very nice and clean and in a beautiful location. we will definitely stay there again.

The Airbnb I originally had for my bridesmaids and me to sleep the night before my wedding cancelled my reservation 9 days before I needed it. Needless to say I was SO grateful for this place! Getting there was a little confusing, but by the time we headed that way from the rehearsal dinner it was 10pm so it was really dark. They did have clear signs though that took us straight to the right Airbnb! There wasn’t any service though so just don’t make a wrong turn lol. The place itself is very cute! There’s no Wi-Fi so we were a little nervous about being able to pull up directions to the venue, but we were able to get a bar or two by the cars. Overall, the beds are super comfy and this would be the perfect getaway spot! I wish I had had more time so I could sit on porch and read! You also can’t hear the people next to you which surprised me. It’s very quiet and I’d definitely recommend this place!

Stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was fantastic! It was peaceful, clean, and Nathan got back to us very quickly when we had questions. We had a wonderful time and the heater kept us nice and warm when temps dropped into the 30s. The only downside is that you can’t park next to the tent and the tent is at the bottom of a pretty big hill. There is a porta potty but it’s at the top of the hill next to where you park so it’s a bit of a hike to use the restroom.

Stayed here as a child and Matt had really updated the place. Wood floors. Roku tv. Sliding glass doors. The only thing is the appliances are a bit old so we had to run our clothes through the dryer a couple times and food cooked a bit uneven in the oven. But it was a wonderful experience. Quiet and beautiful. I will be back

No issues. Hosts were great and the place was as described.

Matt’s place is so nice. Lots of space 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were perfect for our family of 5. Matt was good about us bringing a dog at the last minute too.
