We loved out stay at Drifting Sands! Super comfortable and eclectic home, the best beds/linens during our 3-week stay in NZ! Super quiet as well. The short stroll to town and private walkway to the lovely beach and hot tub make this space extra special. We highly recommend if you enjoy a beachy, eclectic vibe!

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings & the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The hut was spotless, beautifully designed & equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thoughtful touches, such as cozy furnishings & well-placed amenities, made us feel right at home. The location was perfect—peaceful yet conveniently close to local attractions. Waking up to breathtaking views was a highlight & enjoying our morning coffee in such a tranquil setting was truly refreshing. The outdoor space was equally delightful, offering a great spot to unwind & take in the natural beauty. Judith was an exceptional host, providing clear communication & ensuring we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail & genuine hospitality made our experience even more special. Teapot Cottage and the whole Wildside farm are a beautiful and very special place! The Cottage is super cozy and it really feels like visiting grandma. Lots of toys our kids loved to play with, like an old doll house, puppets to dress etc. And a wonderful view of the mountain range. Kath and Dan were very hospitable and showed us around on their farm where there's so many things to discover. Thanks for sharing your place with guests!

We loved this stay. Judith and family have crafted a truly beautiful space. It was a perfect home base to explore the area, quiet and private, with abundant bird songs. We appreciated the natural and high quality materials and details throughout the small cabin. Hosts are very kind, accommodating, and responsive. Highly recommend.

A great place to stay. Enjoyed watching the Keas playing in the trees around the house. The hot tub is a fantastic addition. Lovely rooms and well set up. Nice and private at the back of the Ranforest Retreat. Thank you for hosting us.

We really enjoyed staying at Sarah’s place. It was very comfortable and clean. It very close to town, but at the same time private, with great views. Highly recommended

Die Unterkunft war für 2 Tage einfach perfekt. Das Haus war mehr als geräumig und bei Nacht und klaren Himmel einfach nur wunderschön. So viele Sterne wie schon lange nicht mehr gesehen. Die 2 Tage konnten wir für die Felsen, Höhlen und zum ausruhen nutzen. Clive war mehr als freundlich und hat auch immer schnellstens geantwortet. Ich kann es nur empfehlen, da es auch für 8 - 10 Leute funktioniert.

We loved staying at Kate’s. Mingling with the other people camping/glamping in the communal areas was great. The house was perfect for our group.

Stunning quiet location, very warm and cozy, great shower pressure and absolutely loved the pool table! Didn’t miss having a tv at all - lovely to be off-grid for a change. Huge deck which is all covered and would’ve been great if it was raining! But we had beautiful weather so also had no issues with solar power. Felt very lucky to be able to have our dogs with us. They had the best time too. Thanks so much, we had a great couple of nights.

Perfect location to get away from the city life! It has an English feel to it, filled with lots of character! We were greeted by two very friendly dogs. I'd love to stay again in winter so I can use the huge log burner!

Kim’s place is lovely with plenty of room for a group. We really enjoyed walks nearby (Lake Daniell and the Klondyke Valley both beautiful) and the hot pools at Maruia Springs.

Rachel's place was very quiet and peaceful. Our kids loved the ruralness and seeing the chickens. The fresh eggs and homemade bread were a special touch. Unfortunately due to other circumstances we were only able to spend one night at Rachel's place instead of our scheduled 2 nights. Definitely recommended.

had a one night stay over so I could get to christchurch airport early the next morning. has more than enough facilities and amenities one will need. everything was provided for if needed eg. stove, fire place, cooking utensils, iron etc etc.

Loved my stay at Rachael’s place! It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The host was friendly and responsive, making everything super easy. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Wharepuni is the most beautiful and relaxing cabin! We feel blessed that our accomodation fell through and this little gem was available at short notice! Brendan was extremely responsive and we had a lovely comfortable night in a beautiful setting that was a complete surprise. Our only wish is we could have stayed longer. As per the description and area, services are very sparse, so stock up beforehand.

This place was better than the photos. It's kind of in the bush even though it's near the main highway. It was very peaceful and they had a lovely yard and surroundings. The name on the board welcoming me coming in was very cute, and Rhoderick was a really nice guy who greets you upon arrival and shows you everything in the guesthouse. The place was as quiet and peaceful as you can get. The bed was comfortable. And he provided lots of breakfast options. Everything was very new and clean looking, and you have a nice view of plants and such from the couch and bed. If I ever drive through this area again, I will definitely stay again.

This was a perfect place for us during our quick stopover. It’s set up simply and ideally and everything is new and worked great. It’s right off the highway with easy parking. Thank you!
