Villa Palmeira was an exceptional stay and I highly recommend it. Agus looked after our needs with a smile and organised daily massages, a snorkeling tour, shopping trips and more for our group. We will absolutely be coming back! Additional information that is not in the other reviews: 1. A 10L filtered water bottle is hooked up to a machine. It is safe to drink. 2. The staff know how to prepare fruits, vegetables and salad. We ate a LOT of fresh salads and did not get sick. 3. Expect to see animals around the villa including small snakes, crabs, lizards (which sound like they are quacking), dogs and cats. 4. Agus will book with local groups – meaning you will get the most bang for your buck AND experience the greatest hospitality Bali has to offer. 5. Alcohol is expensive. Customs allows 1L per person to be brought into Bali. 6. Treat the staff well and they will treat you well! Agus loves Baileys and Whiskey. We tipped $50000 - $100000 IDR ($5AUD - $10AUD) for various services.

An exceptional time made posible by the host recommendations becote our arrival, we woent 2 weeks at the villa for a family holiday. The arrival was seamless thanks to the pick up organised by the host. The villa is terrific villa and iso is ts staff. All was as described and even better. The villa is perfect, well built and well maintained. The staff is very available and took great care of us. The villa is super quiet/private and yet located in the midlle of everything (within walking distance) and the many recommendations made by Cheryl (the host) were all very good. Truly, it was a wonderful stay I had with my parents in Doni's villa. Astri and Desa were so helpful and kept everything clean and organized. They also taught us a lot about Balinese culture during Nyepi. The decor is marvelous and so is the location: close enough to Ubud but far enough away to be relaxing. The villa has its own private pool along with a second pool in the common grounds, which are wonderfully landscaped. We can't wait to return for another stay soon.

Ketut's place is amazing for peaceful and relaxing. it's well hidden in small village 15 mins from Ubud centre. Ketus is really nice person and his family are welcoming. They made sure we didn't need anything. loved everything bit of it. It gets pretty dark at night and the jungle is right infrot of us. so definitely expect some mosquitos and insects, this doesn't effect the overall experience and the bed is protected by a net if needed. I would definitely recommend the experience.

Our stay at the villa was absolutely perfect. While we were there to jam in as much exploration of Bali, we adjusted our plans to make time to relax and enjoy the gorgeous space! Our own little oasis… Dewa and all the staff were amazing- truly first class service and wonderful place to call home during our stay. We will be back again!!!!

We had a truly wonderful experience staying at Ngakan’s Uma Bali villa in Ubud!From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and felt right at home. Ngakan was an incredibly helpful and attentive host, always making sure we had everything we needed. The staff were equally amazing—friendly, kind, and always ready to assist. The villa itself is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by stunning rice fields that offer the most picturesque views. It’s also conveniently located not far from the center of Ubud, making it easy to explore the area while still enjoying a tranquil retreat. One of the highlights of our stay was the food—absolutely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Bali. Highly recommended, and we would love to come back again!

A peaceful slice of paradise only minutes away from Ubud central. Made was such an accommodating host, always available for what ever service we needed. The villa was beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing. The pool and outdoor shower were some of the best features. We had a view of the rice field while relaxing on the outdoor cabana. Because we are out for meals, we didn’t get to use the kitchen but it was good to know we had the option. Lovely filtered water on site too. Made was an excellent host and we can’t wait to return next year.

loved staying here! it was the nicest place i stayed on this trip to ubud. the home + decor is super cute & i loved having my own private outdoor space surrounded by beautiful plants / trees & jungle sounds. loved the hammock outside & the outdoor deck where i could relax in between plans. also great to have filtered water available at all times in the kitchen. the staff is also so kind, thoughtful, & helpful. i loved my stay here & would happily stay again!

If you want to look around this huge space with no shortage of interesting things to see, this is the place for you. The best part of this property are the people who manage and maintain it. Their welcoming energy and every day smiles, happy and helpful demeanours were a delight. The pool and water slide were a huge hit, as well as the gym!! You can rent motorbikes right at the property which is very convenient! The property is aligned perfectly to catch the sunrise which was a daily must for us. Overall it was a wonderful stay for our first time to Amed. I recommend :)

our stay at villa 1 was amazing. Arjuna is helpful, responsive and makes you feel very comfortable with her friendly, and welcoming vibe. their entire team is helpful and kind. the villa itself was spacious and clean, and had all amenities one would require for their stay. the included breakfast was yummy (especially the fried rice!!). we did not have a lot of time to chill by the pool and the surrounding garden, but it was lovely! the space is quiet, while being at a walking distance from the market area and very close to the beach as well. renting a bike, getting a cab to the airport.. everything was seamless. we would love to come back here!

This was a very comfortable and welcoming space with boats available to answer any questions and help arrange things like transportation and laundry. It was so kind and helpful of them to set up a car pickup from the airport, and they kept the space beautiful and clean with every other day cleaning. This level of service went above and beyond and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and impeccable hospitality from our hosts. Highly recommended!!

Made und Sayu haben sich mit ihrer Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft direkt einen Weg in unsere Herzen gesichert. Eine stets schnelle, ehrliche und entgegenkommende Kommunikation, es wurden Dinge ganz selbstverständlich möglich gemacht (z.B. wurde ein Scooter direkt an die Villa geliefert, Wäsche wurde zur Reinigung abgeholt und wir durften etwas früher ohne Aufpreis anreisen). Die Umgebung bietet sehr viele schöne Restaurants und Cafés, die jede Geschmacksrichtung abdecken und nette Shops und Coworking-Spaces. Der Strand lässt sich binnen 2 Minuten Gehweg erreichen. Das Internet war arbeitstauglich (hatte einige Videocalls). Wäre nicht ausgebucht gewesen, wir wären länger geblieben. Hier gab es keine versteckten Nebenkosten oder Bereicherungsversuche vor Ort. Das Gebäude war zudem super gereinigt!

Kadek organised meals, drivers and scooters and was very fast to answer any questions Lovely family to stay with and great to get away from the hustle of the towns and into the outer parts of Ubud We will come back soon

What an incredible stay!! There wasn't a minute in the 2weeks we stayed where we didn't feel immense gratitude to be staying somewhere so beautiful surrounded by such wonderfully kind people. From before we even left Marie was fantastic at putting us in contact with the staff at the Villa who were incredible and arranged us getting to the villa and took care of us to the highest standard the entire trip. We was treated like family by Kadek, Komang, Putu and the team who were all especially caring to our children. We had lots of tears when we left. The villa itself is beautiful with immaculately kept gardens and the sea lapping up on the shore at the bottom of the garden. We ate every meal at the Villa which we're all incredible! Putu organised fantastic trips and has brilliant knowledge. I would highly recommend the location of the villa for anyone wanting to experience true authentic Bali away from the touristic crowds. Thankyou so much to Marie and the team we can't wait to return!

We had an amazing stay at this villa. The villa itself was well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and all the amenities we needed. The location was peaceful and private, providing a great escape from the city. What really made our stay special was the host Stephane. He is very hands-on and approachable, always quick to respond and offer helpful tips. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great hospitality.

Great little villa with a very nice pool. Really clean and beautiful! If you are not accustomed to noise bring ear plugs for sleeping. Great location near all the shops you need. Felt safe and secure too.

Eine wahre Oase des Glücks – Perfekte Gastfreundschaft im Mari Guesthouse Wir durften zwölf unvergessliche Nächte im Mari Guesthouse verbringen und können mit voller Überzeugung sagen, dass es sich hier fast wie ein kleines Paradies anfühlt. Schon beim Betreten des Anwesens wurden wir von einem traumhaft schönen Garten begrüßt, der mit einer Vielfalt an exotischen Früchten und Pflanzen verzaubert. Der kleine Swimmingpool genossen wir für tägliche Entspannung. Ein ganz besonderer Dank gilt Karin und Made, die mit ihrer herzlichen Art unseren Aufenthalt zu einem echten Wohlfühlerlebnis gemacht haben. Die Kommunikation war jederzeit hervorragend, und wir fühlten uns rundum willkommen. Ebenso möchten wir Ketut hervorheben – eine unglaublich liebenswürdige und fürsorgliche Person. Sie stand uns stets mit wertvollen Tipps zur Seite und hat sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert. Dieses Gästehaus ist ein wahrer Geheimtipp den ich jederzeit empfehlen darf.

Great place to stay, we had a lovely time next to the pool, the breakfast organised was amazing, cleaned every day, host answered questions very quickly and even went and bought us a bag of ice! Fabulous

The villa was beautiful 🤩 loved the pool and outside area. The neighborhood was authentic and the people were kind. The beds were comfortable and clean. The host was very kind and helpful. I will say this, if you don’t like bugs this place probably isn’t for you. The bathrooms are not covered, so while it was a very cool experience, you will be up close and personal with the bugs lol. The ants were ginormous 🤣 but luckily nothing bites and they leave you alone. This was such a fun experience but it’s definitely more like camping. If you are like us and that doesn’t bother you then definitely try this place! We will definitely be coming back!
