Fijne accomodatie met prachtig uitzicht op de zee. Het strand is lang en uitgestrekt en er zijn weinig toeristen. Soms heb je het strand helemaal voor jezelf. Een geweldige plek om tot rust te komen. Helaas was het tijdens ons verblijf, op veel dagen regenachtig en er was veel wind waardoor we niet konden snorkelen. Wel is het dan mogelijk om te surfen. Er zijn weinig restaurants op loopafstand. Een auto is eigenlijk een must als je de omgeving wil ontdekken. De aardige eigenaar Ivan had voor ons vervoer geregeld vanaf KK. We hebben voornamelijk gewandeld langs het strand en Ivan heeft ons ook een keer naar Secret Place gebracht, een bijzondere zero-waste kampeerplek en restaurant op een strand verderop.

I never expected Kudat to have such amazing villas. Serendipity is a beachfront villa with 4 tastefully furnished luxurious rooms. Our spacious room was located upstairs with a really comfortable bed, dressing table, tv, day bed, fan, adequate lighting and two air conditioners. The room has a big sea-facing balcony which is perfect for yoga and night photography to capture the stars and Milky Way. However, it can get pretty hot in the afternoon as there is direct sunlight into the room. This villa is very exclusive, quiet and serene. You will truly enjoy this place with its own swimming pool and a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and not to mention the ‘private’ beach with stunning sunsets. And oh, the beach cabana is a keeper!!! Phone reception is non-existence but WiFi is available in the vicinity (however signal is poor in the rooms upstairs). Bring your own ingredients to cook unless you want to drive out for meals or cater from the management. Nearest restaurants are about 10-15 mins away to the Tip of Borneo, or about 20km to town. This place is part of the Kudat Riviera exclusive villas, which is very well maintained. Every morning their workers are seen cleaning up the beach and gardens. Definitely worth a visit to have a break from the hustle and bustle of Kota Kinabalu city. I do hope this place remains well-kept and not lose its charm as more people start to discover this hidden gem..

Perfect place to stay in the tip of Borneo. Right by the beach, which after visiting 3 or 4 beaches a drive away in the surrounding area, we concluded the beach next to the hut is the best one by far!! Perfect white sand and clear water and hardly anyone around. The place itself is lovely, clean, good AC and comfy bed, and lovely balcony facing the beach. Lovely dogs that live on the compound. Good communication from host.

Lovely oasis retreat. Ekoos was an incredible host, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and answer all our questions. Location is very remote and there are only a couple of restaurants. Would recommend hiring a car or a scooter to get around.
