Maison paisible dans un environnement paisible et ressourçant. Tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner sur place et une épicerie toute proche. Accueil authentique et chaleureux par Zhenzhen et son mari. La balade sur l'île voisine de Seglinge (vélo et randonnée) conseillée par Zhenzhen nous a beaucoup plu.

Jane and her husband are really nice and welcoming people. They advised us what to do in the islands, picked us from and to the boat. The room was ok, you share the kitchen and the bathroom (just so you know it). The village is really peacefull. Of course do not come if you don't like nature / quietness / biking, walking. Very good price/quality ratio compared to what we experienced in other island / other bookings. Sure it is not the most modern house that you can find but the price and the hosts are definitely worth it.

We had such a lovely stay with Sage and Jannika at Hotel Svala. We stayed in the suite which was a really beautiful space and so was the entire hotel, Sage is a professional set designer which you can really tell. All rooms were meticulously designed, both regarding coloring that matched the surrounding Åland landscape and with a distinct retro feel to everything from furniture to the smallest utensils in the dining room. It kind of felt like you were in a Wes Andersson movie set in the Finnish archipelago. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was also really nice. If you like the look of the website you will love the hotel. The service and food were also amazing, all done by Jannika and Sage – we stayed a full week and were treated to delicious meals both breakfast, lunch and dinner. They take care to pick out the best produce from local farmers and really made a feast of all meals. The hotel is small and dinner was always served in communal style with all guests around a shared table which was really fun as you got to talk to lots of different people passing through. Kumlinge is a lovely little island and neighboring Seglinge which is a 7 min (free) boat ride away is also really beautiful and has a really nice hiking trail that lets you take in both cliffs, the ocean and birch forest. We mostly took it easy during our stay, read books, went for walks, had a swim and enjoyed the quiet and calm. We even saw a moose swimming over to a neighboring island (!). Sage and Jannika shared a lot about the background to how they started the hotel and you felt immediately like you had been welcomed in to the family. In all, a perfect stay, both for a short stay if you’re travelling through the archipelago or for a longer period if you really want to relax and wind down for a couple of days.

We had a great time at Linda’s island. She will bring you to the island by boat and shows you around and how to use the facility. You live in a cosy hut which is very well thought out, even the view from the windows is like watching a painting. It is simple but very functional, I liked this a lot. I never felt missing something. The beds are super comfy and spacious, can’t remember I ever slept that good in a foreign bed. Then there is silence, a lot of silence. The waves and wind, some birds and sometimes a boat passing by, nothing else to hear, just what I expected. It felt like home after a short while, I really enjoyed it. You could always relay on Linda, she was unbelievable helpful and friendly. Thanks you so much for having us!

Fantastisk stuga med helt magisk vy. För den som söker bekvämlighet så bör en vara medveten om att det är handdisk och dusch från bastu och inget kranvatten. Men för oss var det lite av tjusningen att få komma så långt ut och få njuta av miljön och fin och varm inredning. Vi är så nöjda och andra gången vi hyr denna stuga.
