Fantastic home and some great help from Danuo and Praba who cooked some fantastic food and were always there to help and offer services and information . Praba was a great Caddy ! Overall a fantastic host, house helps and definitely recommend for families and friends coming to Victoria

This is a 147 year old bungalow, and the stay was simply fantastic. We loved everything about the house and the host was fantastic to stay awake late in the night to welcome us after a tiring day for us. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Wow! This place is incredible, if you love golf you’ll be in heaven. I’ve never played at a more friendly club ever! The members are so welcoming and we made some awesome friends here that we will keep in touch with. Alan is a great host and did even more than required we feel really privileged to have met such wonderful people. His property is amazing, you won’t be disappointed, along with his care taker and house keeper we felt relaxed, safe and well looked after. Our 10 day stay here will be hard to beat, we can’t wait to come back!

Spacious apt with delicious breakfast owned by a kind, gentle couple. It worked well for our family of 5 since our kids could play around the house. Damayanthi and Walter picked us up at the train station and we paid for them to organize a great dinner. Only challenge for us was finding transport to the city for 5 people and dogs in the neighborhood barking early. We would definitely return since our kids adored Damayanthi.

We had an incredible stay in this beautiful apartment. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking view, a peaceful atmosphere and sounds of nature. The apartment itself was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly made our experience unforgettable, however, was the hospitality of our hosts. The mother and daughter were incredibly kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. They prepared all our meals, which were by far the best we had in Sri Lanka – delicious, homemade, and made with so much love. They were also a huge help, always cheerful and ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warmth and generosity made this stay exceptional. Highly recommend this place – the hosts truly made it feel like a home away from home and wish us to come back one day!

Wir waren für eine Nacht in Kandy. Es hat uns super gefallen!! Die Gastgeberin ist super nett, sehr engagiert und spricht sehr gut Englisch - was in Sri Lanka nicht selbstverständlich ist. Die Lage ist sehr gut, da man in 5 Minuten in der Stadtmitte ist und trotzdem eine ruhige Nacht verbringen kann. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen !!

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

Our host couple Indira and Lakshman are very attentive and helpful people whose hospitality comes from the heart. We stayed for six weeks in their beautiful house, which is situated in a lovely garden on a hill in Sirimalwatta. Our flat with kitchen and two bedrooms also has a terrace where we always had our meals as a family of four. We liked it so much that we will be staying here again temporarily on our next visit to Sri Lanka in the autumn. Lakshman also helped my husband a lot with one of his local projects and arranged an appointment for him with the local governor.

This home is very unique the way it is built--sort of like a cylinder of 7 stories. It is an outstanding architectural design. Inside it is furnished so stylishly and COMFORTABLY!!! Mufi will answer any questions you have about Kandy and draw you maps of where you want to go. She will even number the places in the order you should go to them to make efficient use of your time. She has a "standard" tuk tuk driver she can call for you. His name is Sham and is very reliable. We would add for you to exercise a sense of humor when her husband visits with you.

Dilanthi is a Super host indeed !!! Olu Lodge is a lovely little place, located conveniently. The garden is beautiful and the place is nicely kept and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Dilanthi's food is delicious. She cooked lovely milk rice for us for breakfast and my son enjoyed it very much. Also both Dilanthi and Samantha spent a lot of their time chatting with us and we felt very comfortable with them. They are very kind, polite and understanding. I would certainly recommend her place to the future travellers. Thanks once again Dilanthi & Sam.

Der Aufenthalt war super und die Besitzer sowie Angestellten waren sehr freundlich. Die Anlage ist ein bisschen abgenützt aber das Zimmer war sehr sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Sonnenuntergang, den man durch die Glasfront vom Bett aus beobachten kann ist unbeschreiblich! Wei hat Katzen, Hunde und ein Wildschwein. Die Tiere sind super lieb und kommen einen begrüßen, was mich sehr gefreut und an mein Zuhause erinnert hat! Danke, jederzeit wieder gerne! 🥰

Sudesh's place is a dream! Super quiet with sourrounding jackfruit and palm trees. His mother and wife were cooking amazing sri lankan lunch and dinner for only a few dollars extra. The including breakfast with different type of fruit and baverages was really good. Sudesh is also owener of a tuktuk pick up which is really helpful to get into town. This homestay is defenetly recommended and is one of the prettiest we stayed at.

Wish I stayed longer! The room and the property was clean and the staff were attentive to any requests. I loved the view from the room and could be lost in it for hours. Breakfast every day was very generous and all the meals were delicious. Would recommend for anyone that wants an escape from the busy city life and enjoy the nature. Would definitely visit again, 10/10!

Wir haben wunderbare Tage bei Liz verbracht. Wir haben fein gegessen und sie hat unseren Kindern jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Optimaler Standort für Tagesausflüge zum botanischen Garten oder zum Ambuluwawa Tower. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Wow, what a hidden treasure. Arjuna and Zane made our stay so comfortable and restful, always willing to talk about the surrounds, tea plantation and beautiful gardens, but also hands-off enough that we felt relaxed. We intended to do some hiking but the weather meant options were limited, but that just meant spending more time in gorgeous surroundings learning about local plants and their uses, hanging out with their 4 brilliant and ultra friendly dogs, and eating lovely local dishes. A small village is just 15 mins walk away, which has some shops for essentials and lunch items. If you’re after a beautiful, restful place for a short break then I really couldn’t recommend Tranquility enough. It was an absolute treat and brilliant value for money.

I had a wonderful stay at Jayantha’s place! The cleanliness was top-notch, and the view was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was a lovely experience, especially sharing it with fellow travelers. The location is easy to reach, with tuk-tuks available even at night. Going down by stairs was simple, so I didn’t always need a ride. Above all, Jayantha and his family’s hospitality was unmatched. Highly recommend!

Het verblijf was super leuk! Joseph, de man die het runt is echt een vriendelijke man! niets is hem te veel en hij helpt je waar nodig. Toen onze baby ziek werd heeft hij ons goed geholpen met alles, dankjewel! De woning is erg schoon en het ontbijt is echt heerlijk! De locatie is uit het centrum maar je kunt met de pickme of met het vervoer dat Joseph kan regelen snel naar het centrum en andere bezienswaardigheden. een minpuntje was toch wel dat er ook een andere man "the boss" daar ook woont. Je hebt geen last van hem en je ziet hem amper maar dit stond niet omschreven in de advertentie want ze locatie zou van 2 vrouwen zijn. Hierom is het onduidelijk wie hij is. Maar is zeker geen reden om er niet te slapen! Ik zou zeker nog eens terug komen, al was het alleen al voor Joseph en zijn fantastische lieve karakter en kookkunsten!
