Wow, what an amazing holiday! Tim was fantastic in helping us to decide whether his villa was right for us prior to booking. He also put us in touch with his local 'fixer' who helped us to book train tickets, trips and transport all at very reasonable and competitive prices. The villa is fabulous. We were spoilt for space as a family of 4 and didn't actually end up using the cottage as there was ample space in the main house. The house is furnished traditionally and we felt a million miles from home which is just what we wanted. The pool was the real highlight for us! The villa is staffed which was a new experience for us but we were quickly made to feel very comfortable. The chefs food is incredible. The housekeeper is lovely and she works tirelessly to keep everything spotless. The gardener/pool guy was a real star and we enjoyed having a laugh with him. We didn't see much of night security but we always felt extremely safe and appreciated him. 10/10 from start to finish

This was our second stay at African Art House and it was again very pleasurable. Very comfortable, friendly and accommodating house staff, Anina very responsive to any problems, short walk to the beach, easy access to transport, etc. Looking forward to stay #3, whenever that might be.

Serene place. Jayson was a great guy, easy check in, a call away with the right answers. Clean and tidy home, Rehema did marvelous. Security guaranteed with electric fence and security officer always on time. Room C may need AC. Will surely recommend.

When you enter the bohemian house you feel right at home and don't want to leave ever again. Rama, the chef was also a highlight during our stay. Rama has always a smile on his face and prepared delicious food. 4 huge bedrooms, large pool, just a walk away from the beach ( through the gardens). We hope we can come back next year. Perfect communication with owner.

We enjoyed staying at Garys place a lot. We appreciated the most 1) access to a beautiful beach with very few people; 2) amazing and authentic style house with wonderful balcony; 3) hospitality of local employees who prepared delicous meals and took care of cleaning the house. We thought that for kids a pool will be needed, but during our stay they actually enjoyed a lot to the ocean - playing in the water and collecting sea shells. Not far from Garys place in a walking distance are few interesting sight seeing spots. Highly recommended!

Very cozy, stylish and Kenyan house) we liked everything, spend there 3 days. the house has everything you need to cook, to relax, is close to the ocean. the host was very supportive

We had a decent stay here and communication with the host was always easy. The house is older than it looks in the pictures, but all amenities listed was accurate. The area is safe and a short walk to the beach. There's a restaurant and small supermarket right next door. The only downside is the sea water in the taps, we were not aware of this beforehand. So showering and washing hair is quite uncomfortable. But apparently that's quite common in Diani? The house is also really hot during midday. Wifi speed was great, free cleaning once or twice a week and also laundry washing. Friendly host who recommended a few places.

I had a great stay. The apartment was clean and quiet, pool was cleaned every day, wifi was strong (it was a working trip). Florah provided needed information, checked in and was responsive to questions. Location is great, close enough to shops and beach. I would definitely stay again when I am through Mombasa! This place was a good stop-over spot for the two nights we spent in this area! It had everything we needed, including a washing machine (which was a bit tricky to operate but eventually worked). It was nice and close to a main road and even more-or less walking distance from at least one good restaurant. Other restaurants were a short ride away. The beach is also very close and accessible from Raisa's place. Mombasa's plethora of motor taxis or tuk tuks made it so fun to even just get to the beach because you can kind of walk out the door, down the street, and hop on a ride. The bedrooms have no AC, but the overhead fans provided enough cool air to still sleep fairly comfortably. The only thing I might ask to be added would be a ceiling-hanging mosquito-net over each bed because when we opened the windows for airflow some got in. Other than that, it was such a great stay!! Would book again because of the location.

Very responsive host, he helped me and my friend alot when we had no clue. Would recommend anyone to book his place, i must get back there when visiting mombasa again.

We enjoyed a homely place and relaxed. The view of the ocean from the house is everything. Well cleaned and maintained all through. The kids had an awesome time and very secure. we only noted that the pool wasn't as regularly cleaned which is of concern especially when you have young kids.

I loved loved the place! It is exactly as described and provided much needed respite. It's tucked away, private, and away from the hustle and hustle. The property itself resembles a lush paradise. The unit was sparkling clean! I really appreciate the daily cleaning, water already provided in the unit and the stunning veranda. I felt like I was in my little paradise. The pool is lovely and great way to cool off. The property is about a 10 min walk to beach,5 mins walk to the main road. it's very accessible. Obed is a gem! i really appreciate his thoughtfulness throughout my stay. Mary is kind as well. Lastly, Annemarie was very helpful during my stay. anything I needed, she was able to provide. Hope to stay here next time I'm back in Diani. Asante Sana!

This house is comfortable, cool, clean and situated in a great location. Khalda is a lovely host, very responsive and helpful. I recommend.

It’s 2 bedrooms apartment with comfortable beds. It’s very clean apartment and couple minutes a way from the beach. It’s has all the amenities I could as for such as utensils to cook and high speed internet. I’ll recommend anyone to rent. Thank you Maithya.

We stayed 11 nights and had a great time. The host was super responsive, Fred who takes care of guests day to day was amazing. The apartment is beautifully furnished with a view over the gardens and ocean. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, it also has a big balcony. You definitely know you in the topics with monkeys on the balcony and gardens, we loved that! It is in a really convenient location with a large multi floor super market only a short walk away plus lots of shops and restaurants within an easy walk. It was safe with security at the main gates and in the complex. The beach is only a 2 minutes walk. Lots of tuk tuks passing by to get around. We had a fantastic stay and would 100% recommend! Terry' s place was comfortable,Serene, well thought of,very neat fitted with proper furniture. The pictures on the app are exactly the same,well maintained, neat ..It's a place worth spending your holiday...you can easily access the mall, different places in Nyali...My family loved the place...it's a to go home anytime am in Mombasa.

We had a wonderful 8 day stay at Sean's place. Check in was easy and the place matched the photos exactly. This was our first time in Diani and Sean provided a guide to which was very helpful. His place is located in the middle of Diani and very accessible to the beach, restaurants, shopping and activities. We had plenty of drinking water and housekeeper came every 4 days. With the amenities, location, excellent host and overall value, Sean's place was a great choice. Can't wait to comeback.

There’s a reason this place is a Guest Favorite!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Elodie’s place is quite literally the quintessential Diani Beach Swahili living experience. It’s literally a 3-4 minute walk to the beach and all the hotspots and sevicra and amenities. You wont need a car at all although it’s always a plus to explore further. From the architecture of the rooms and house to the warm welcoming we received. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking it! If an authentic comfortable experience is what you’re looking for - this is it. I have to also say the staff is the probably the best we’ve ever had in our travels. They helped us with everything we needed, gave us amazing guidance and info of the area. The cleaning was also great. Human touch is everything. The people you’ll meet too are also everything here, as you’ll see in many other reviews.
