Coming to Chyngyz’s place was a perfect weekend away! Chyngyz and his sister speak excellent English (and have plenty of interesting stories!), whilst his parents are compassionate, good hosts and help to typify a traditional Kyrgyz family home. The room/space is as described, and I enjoyed eating with the family very much. Chyngyz is also very knowledgeable about the local area and travelling in Kyrgyzstan - he gave some excellent advice about travel. I look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

I had a wonderful stay with the family. Каныбек picked me up from Kara Balta for 1000 som and then I paid for 1000 som per day for food. Elnur always cooked for me if I was hungry and was very kind and welcoming. Her son speaks English and it was fun communicating in half English, Russian and trying to learn kyrgyz words. It was lovely and funny to spend time with Opa too. I love that they have the perfect balance between taking care of you and letting you be. The surroundings are beautiful and you can walk into the mountains from their home. I recommend for a simple, rural stay.
