La Chorrera, San Carlos : locations de vacances

We absolutely loved our stay! From the moment we arrived, the sweeping panoramic views stole our breath. Our hosts went above and beyond, greeting us with baskets of freshly picked fruits each morning that fueled our adventures around the farm.

Die Unterkunft liegt in einem groysen, gepflegten Garten. Viele Tiere und Vögel können beobachtet werden. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist gut ausgestattet. Wir waren zu viert, das Zimmer ist etwas eng, aber für eine Nacht ok. Die Schlafcoach ist etwas hart, aber für eine Nacht ok. Aus dem Bad kam manchmal ein unangenehmer Geruch, aber sonst war alles ok. Für die Natur lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall, wir würden wiederkommen.

So peaceful, incredible views! We loved being able to open the windows and have fresh air at night. We loved the hot tub. The home is beautifully designed, very comfortable and decorated and Ingrid is an excellent host. Definitely need a 4x4 in Sport mode to manage the short gravel road, but well worth it! About 20- 30 minutes to town. All a part of the adventure!

We loved our stay here! Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay in La Fortuna. We had read that a lot of people had wished they had stayed in La Fortuna their whole stay so we decided to do all 7 days there and we were happy we did! So much to do and see and the accommodations were wonderful. Thank you!!!

Maribel’s place was extremely nice and Juan who lives next door and helps was extremely helpful in helping you fill an itinerary, very nice guy and very quiet and private!! I can’t recommend this place enough! The location is perfect also as you’re very close by to most activities around the area. Overall if I came back it would certainly be here again! Thanks again Juan for all your help and being an amazing host!!

We enjoyed our stay! It's a nice, clean home with scenic views in an authentic, safe community. We bought a few basics for breakfast (eggs, queso blanco, milk, coffee, juice) at the nearby community mini-market (a few blocks away) so we could make breakfast at the place. If you want fresh fruits & veggies, you should stop at a bigger market on your way (La Fortuna? Or El Castillo?). We ate dinner twice at the nearby La Terraza restaurant, which was good. We loved the batidos de fruta (fruit smoothies/shakes - 'de leche' ('of milk') . My favorite is the batido de papaya (de leche). My kids also tried the strawberry, pineapple, maracuya (and I think others, too!). We enjoyed the dishes we had there, too. Internet at the house can be spotty, but there's some cell reception, too. If you're on vacation and just checking your email from time to time and researching things to do in the area, it's fine; if you're looking to be a digital nomad, this is probably not the place for you.

We loved how close to town we were but still seemed private and secluded! The area was calm and quiet we loved having breakfast outside our cabin! The area surrounding was stunning the inside was spotless !!! We also met their friendly little kitten! Place was awesome can’t stop thinking about it can’t wait for the next time we are in La Fortuna.!

We absolutely loved this little oasis! It was better than expected, so cute and spacious. The shower is a lovely addition and gives jungle vibes! The view of Arenall is perfect and the property was so clean and cozy. It was easy to find and check in. Jose was super responsive and such a pleasure. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend if you're staying in La Fortuna! Pura Vida! ✌🏼

Milton went above and beyond to make our Pura Vida experience the ultimate! He was quick to respond, brought us fresh cantaloupe and cut us fresh coconut off the trees and opened them for us. The pool was a little oasis, the property was gorgeous and talking to him and his wife they built and created the whole thing, impressive! Their 2 dogs would come and visit - so cute, their 2 peacocks would come as well and we got lots of looks at the 2-3 resident iguanas, ducks and roosters. Across the road they were doing work on a house and the latin music would waft across and we loved how it added to the vibe! We love a non-touristy experience, and that it was. Only saw locals in “town” and all were welcoming and nice. The ONLY issue we had… we would look up restaurantes and sodas to go eat at and they would be non-existent or closed (more of a google maps problem ;) No worries, just cooked rice, beans, and plantains at home in the well stocked kitchen. We HIGHLY recommend this place!!!
