La Fortuna : locations de villas de vacances

All the reviews are spot on! This is our 3rd trip to Costa Rica and we were looking for something a little different than a normal stay at a resort. Eduardo & Marshal (father & son) were the most wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. The house is huge! We enjoyed the balcony the most because you won’t have a better view in all of Costa Rica. It’s phenomenal! Towels were provided for trips to the hot springs. We did a rafting trip with our boys in the area, recommended and booked by Eduardo, that we will always remember. If you want to see toucans flying in the wild…book this amazing place right now. It was perfect sleeping at night. The windows were open, no bugs, and it even felt a little chilly during the night. Extra blankets were provided in all the sleeping areas. Our kids enjoyed the one bedroom apartment up top. The house has 3 separate areas for sleeping and hanging out. We loved it all and wanted to take the dog home with us! We hope to stay again!

Great place for a romantic getaway! Place was by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed, even the glasses seemed polished!

**An Absolute Gem!** This Airbnb was everything we hoped for and more. The house was clean, comfortable, and beautifully authentic to the area, with thoughtful details that really made it feel special. What really stood out was the peaceful setting—surrounded by nature, it felt like the perfect escape, yet it was still just a short drive to town for anything we needed. Our host was fantastic—super responsive, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in a stunning location with easy access to town, this place is a gem. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This place was fantastic. The surroundings were gorgeous. I felt enveloped in nature and jungle. It’s the perfect combination of architecture between man and the natural environment.

Great place with an awesome view of the volcano. The house was very clean and spacious. We loved to chill on the different balconies and enjoyed the hot tub. Highly recommended!

Property was spotless and beautiful view of volcano. Perfect “base camp” for a family of four for all of the La Fortuna activities. There was an issue with one of the upstairs doors when we arrived but property management graciously resolved it. Only mention is it’s close to busy road (lots of trucks & motorcycles drive by all hours of night). Area very safe. Would definitely rent again.

Die Wohnung bietet alles, was man z.B. als Paar benötigt und sie war sehr sauber. Mit den Gastgebern war es sehr einfach zu kommunizieren und sie waren sehr hilfsbereit und immer freundlich. In der Umgebung sind viele Restaurants (besondere Empfehlung für das Chante Verde) und den La Fortuna Wasserfall kann man sogar zu Fuß erreichen. Auch Supermärkte sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen.

Kathleen’s place was exactly what we needed on our vacation. Away from the crowds but close enough to all the restaurants and local attractions. It was great to have our own pool and hot tub to soak in after a day of activities. We felt safe and comfortable. The outside kitchen was a good common area as the 2 rooms are completely separate from each other. It would have been nice to have pool towels and a washer/dryer BUT not deal breakers. Definitely a place to come back to if we visit la Fortuna again. There is a little restaurant about 700ft to the right when walking out the gates on the left hand side, recommend visiting this place. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 3 nuits à la Villa Fortuna (du 10 au 12 février), en groupe de 12 personnes (3 couples, 4 femmes et 2 hommes). La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée, à l’exception de la petite chambre à l’étage avec un lit superposé, qui est assez exiguë pour deux personnes. L’accueil par Matías a été parfait, avec une grande flexibilité sur l’horaire d’arrivée. La maison était extrêmement propre, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié les espaces extérieurs : la piscine, les hamacs et le terrain de volley-ball qui ont ajouté une vraie plus-value à notre séjour. Matías a été très réactif et disponible, nous donnant de nombreuses recommandations sur les activités à faire dans la région. Nous avons tout adoré, et nous recommandons vivement ce logement à ceux qui cherchent un endroit confortable et agréable pour explorer La Fortuna. Merci encore pour tout !

We were two families with teenage kids and really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements and that each adult couple and sets of kids had their own bungalow. The area was peaceful and just outside of town but quick and easy drive/ride into town (no problem Ubering to town). It’s a very authentic accommodations but still had AC and full kitchen. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The place is incredible. Very spacious, secluded, and beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked. So easy to make a big meal for lots of people. The access road is very challenging and I would recommend a 4x4.

Beautiful place in a secure gated community!

We had a great family vacation at this beautiful property. The setup is ideal as the great room is large enough for everyone to spend lots of quality time together. There's a pool table, large TV and lots of seating. The location worked well for us and was about 15 to 20 minutes from most of the activities we decided upon (which William and Laura helped arrange). I would highly recommend William and Laura's place for a get together with a large group.

Our stay at Morada Colibri in Arenal was unforgettable. Despite a flight delay and arriving at midnight, Andy was always available, ensuring a smooth check-in and offering great restaurant recommendations along the way. From the moment we entered, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. The lush landscaping and beautifully designed interiors created a serene retreat. The home smelled fresh, felt luxurious, and the spa-like bathrooms were a perfect touch. Andy’s exceptional hospitality made our trip effortless. He tailored our itinerary, adjusted reservations, and shared invaluable local insights. The location was perfect—just 10 minutes from La Fortuna and 5 minutes from Tabacón Hot Springs. Everything we wanted to explore was within easy reach. This was one of our most memorable family vacations. Morada Colibri combines luxury, nature, and personal service flawlessly. If you’re visiting Arenal, we highly recommend it—we can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved staying here and the listing was correct that the views are absolutely spellbinding!! We loved the layout of the houses as they allowed us to be together but still have privacy within our own group. The beds were comfortable and the AC was lovely. The clubhouse pool was so beautiful and a very short walk from the house which was perfect. They even have breakfast at the clubhouse which was delicious. Tanyia and Rod, the hosts, were so incredible and handled our needy group with ease. They were incredibly responsive and had great recommendations. Plus the house was so well stocked with everything we needed, it was perfect. The house is not far from Tronadora where there are a number of restaurants and while the drive to La Fortuna is long, it is very doable. If you plan of visiting here as a large group, I'd recommend renting a car with 4 wheel drive because parts of the drive are very steep and/or rocky. Overall, we LOVED our stay and highly recommend!!!

Our group of 6 adults and 6 teens loved our stay here in Monteverde. The complex has 3 buildings. Two of the buildings have 2 bedrooms (queen bed in each), a small kitchenette and sitting area, as well as a small covered deck with two chairs. The third building has one larger bedroom with 2 queen/full beds and a larger kitchen and sitting area, with a larger outdoor deck that has a big dining table. We had room for all 3 rental cars and there's additional street parking if needed. The location was great. 10 minute drive to the Monteverde preserve. 5-10 minute walk to a range of restaurants and coffee shops. And a 25-30 minute walk (or a short drive) into the center of town. The Hotel Belmar is right next door with two restaurants. Mario and crew were super helpful in planning and booking our activities. All in all, this is a great base to explore Monteverde!

This accommodation actually surpassed our expectations. It looks even better in reality. Although we did not meet our host personally, he/she (sorry, I don't know) was communicative and proactive when we encountered a problem with the gate, so the problem was solved in very short time. I liked its location in a relatively quite part on the outskirts of La Fortuna. It was a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. After a busy day hiking kids loved to refresh in the wonderful pool. There's a lot of space to relax, very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. I can highly recommend this place.

Location was great, very close from the La Fortuna waterfalls but about 20 mins away from the busier hotel area around Arenal. The outdoor sitting area near grill is wonderful. It is stocked with some board games which our family enjoyed playing. The open grassy area behind the house is great for bird watching. We saw a pair of macaws and many parrots and other birds. Pool is great although we didn’t use it. The air conditioning makes the rooms comfortable. There are room darkening curtains in one bedroom but sheer curtains in another. The kitchen could be better stocked- there were some sugar packets but not enough for a family to make coffee for 3 days. Some black pepper, ketchup etc. would be nice to have. They do offer room service bfast which we didn’t avail of. Bottles of water in the fridge were great to have. The Nomad mini market, coffee place was super convenient, within walking distance . Restaurant Chante Verde is also walkable, loved dinner there. Overall a great stay!

We absolutely loved this home. It will definitely be our favorite in all of Costa Rica. The pool and outdoor patio is magical and the house is so great. It was awesome to have two separate spaces for our large party. I highly recommend this Airbnb.

The perfect airbnb. Clean and comfortable, incredible outdoor space. We saw macaws and toucans from the yard.

Loved our stay at Peter's house! Location is perfect - close to town yet extremely private. Peter was very responsive and met with us for a smooth check-in. His home looks exactly like the photos. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. By far the best part of the property is the gorgeous backyard, patio, and pool. We spent most of our time there enjoying the lush landscape and wildlife. Would absolutely recommend!

Hermoso lugar, perfecto para descansar y desconectarse! Carolina muy amable y pendiente en todo momento, el lugar tiene una excelente ubicación, buena limpieza, una vista espectacular al Volcán, totalmente equipado con lo necesario para pasar unas vacaciones maravillosas! Volveremos!!

This Airbnb greatly exceeded my expectations. John was very responsive and would check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Beautiful place with beautiful people!! Lovely huge garden 4 large bedrooms with 3 ensure bathrooms and some amazing outdoor spaces. Exceeding expectations. Marco also kindly gave us a lift to town and waited for us in the shop. Short uber ride to town less than £2. Great value for money had an amazing stay. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and friendliness. Would highly recommend especially if you’re looking for wildlife. So many different birds humming birds, and howler monkeys. Great wildlife watching spot on the covered patio and outside kitchen area especially first thing in the morning. Thanks again to Leticia and Marco. Pura Vida!!!
