My wife and I were looking for a fall weekend getaway and this place worked beautifully. The home has a bit of an old school feel, which we really enjoy. The view from the HUGE picture window, overlooking the secluded lake surrounded by the stunning fall foliage was worth the price alone! There were two kayaks and a boat with electric motor, an outdoor firepit with a wagonload of free wood (you can't use the indoor wood burning stove though) and plenty of comfortable beds. Leslie was extremely responsive and friendly too as we chatted on the phone a couple of times during our stay. The place is well stocked with everything needed and is very neat, tidy, and clean. Two eating areas with our fav; a large table overlooking the water! On this October weekend, the lake was pretty much devoid of people (but included geese, ducks, and various birds). A couple of great homestyle restaurants within two minutes (one closes at 2pm!) were right up our alley and Gaylord is 12 minutes away! LOVED!!

The house was immaculate and spacious for the 8 of us. Very comfy beds. We especially enjoyed the breakfast goodies gift they had waiting for us- pancake mix plus maple syrup and honey made on the property!

Margie and Chris were excellent hosts. The communication was great throughout. Clearly, things were thought through to make the guest experience as good as possible; extra pillows, blankets, toilet paper, paper towel, etc. They left pamphlets for the area sights to see, which was very helpful. The weather was hot the first night and cold the last night of my stay and Margie ensured that I was comfortable both nights - and even offered to bring over an extra heater on the cold night. It was a private, quiet place to spend some time, but there is also a lot to do around the area within reasonable driving distance - Connie’s Cafe, which is only 7 minutes away, is a must visit. There is also Dinosaur Gardens right across the street which was pretty cool. The sinkholes and Presque Isle lighthouses are about a 45 minute drive away but are worth the trip if you like scenic drives, lighthouses, nature and plenty of Lake Huron views. All in all, this was a five star stay. Thanks, Margie!

This house has everything we needed, and it was near Mackinac City. The house was affordable and very clean, the recommendations were beyond any I had ever seen at any other house . I would easily rent this house again. So much room for all of us and plenty of bathrooms. And CLEAN!!! Beautiful house and peaceful. I can’t say enough good things.

This was an excellent location and the place was so cute, cozy and clean! Thank you Cindy and Paul for your great hospitality and accommodating us for an extra night! Seeing the train at night up close was thrilling and waking up to the crashing waves was a bonus! Highly recommended! Look forward to visiting again!! Debbie❤️

We booked the cottage for a girls getaway weekend and it was perfect. Comfortable beds, plenty of space and the area was beautiful. We booked this weekend to do the X-C Ski Nibbles & Nosh at Garland Resort and had a blast!

Our stay was so perfect! Everything was clean, and safe - essentials were provided. Everything we needed for a week’s worth of cooking - even a crock pot! The space was beautifully decorated. Gorgeous sunset views every night - plenty of outdoor seating - Lots of floaties and things for the beach and lake. Great dock for fishing. We stay in Lewiston a couple of times a year and this is our second with Jodie, she is so lovely and responsive - we will definitely be back!
