I had an amazing solo stay at Johnston Studio in Manali! The property has a unique charm with a perfect blend of heritage and comfort. The room was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat. The staff was incredibly hospitable and made sure I felt right at home. Even though it was just a one-night stay, it left a lasting impression. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway in Manali!

Easy access

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a property. Firstly, I must commend the beautiful and serene location of the accommodation. Despite being 2 km away from the market, the peaceful ambiance and scenic surroundings made it a delightful retreat. The tranquility of the area added to the overall charm of the stay. The room itself was spacious and impressively equipped with amenities, making my stay comfortable and convenient. However, I noticed that the mattress could use some improvement in terms of comfort. Enhancing the quality of the mattress would certainly elevate the guest experience. I must also highlight the exemplary hospitality extended by the hosts. They were incredibly accommodating and exhibited utmost politeness throughout my stay. Their warm demeanor added a personal touch to the experience, making me feel welcomed and value. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and appreciated the beauty and tranquility of the location, as well as the hospitality of the hosts.

Mr. Sarkar was one of the best hosts we came across. He resolved all our doubts, and was so welcoming. His place is simple, but has all the required amenities. The best part is coming back from a day of sight seeing activities and sitting in the balcony, with a magnificent view. You would definitely want to come back!

The house is suited for a comfortable long term stay. It's inside a society and highly accessible and safe for the elderly and children. It is very well furnished and equipped. You can buy supplies from the shops next to the society gate and cook yourself or hire a cook from within the society. You can also order food in from Kullu. Praveen was highly responsive and understanding. He communicated his expectations upfront and happily accommodated requests when reasonable. I would love to stay here again for a long time period.

Private place, a lot of peace, needs long walking

If you’re looking for a cozy, private mountain retreat with amazing views, this is the perfect place. The property is exactly as shown in the profile - calm and beautiful. It's just a short hike to Naggar Castle, nearby temples, and also close to the local chawk and eateries, making it convenient for exploring. Initially planned to stay for a week but ended up extending my stay there. The owner's family lives on the property and they were incredibly welcoming, always ready to help with any requests. Siddharth was also very responsive, assisting with anything I needed. Just a note: The Wi-Fi is pretty good (40mbps), but if you’re planning a workation, it’s a good idea to have a strong mobile network to use your hotspot as a backup. I will surely choose this place again if I come back.

We had an incredible stay at Suhas's place! As two couples staying for three nights, we were thrilled to find the home exactly as described—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped. The kitchen was stocked with all the basic amenities and ingredients needed for everyday cooking, making it feel like a home away from home. The house help was a blessing, keeping the place spotless every morning. Suhas and his wife had ensured ample arrangements to keep us warm, from cozy blankets to heaters and even hot water bottles—perfect for the chilly mountain weather. The location offered stunning mountain views and, best of all, a sense of privacy that made the experience truly special. Suhas and his wife were always just a message or call away, ready to assist with any queries. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain retreat!

Raj was an amazing host. The stay was spectacular, exactly as shown in the pictures and the views are incredible. It’s one of the most quiet and peaceful stay in Manali.

The villa is well maintained, spacious, clean and has all the required amenities. It’s fairly close to the Mall Road bus stop but still far enough to avoid the crowd and find some peace and tranquility. There are roadside stores and cafés/eateries a short walk away on either end of the stay if at all you need to find something. Nikhil was polite and prompt. Mahendra the caretaker was attentive and always available. Overall a beautiful stay.

We had a very comfortable stay. Anita ma'am was very responsive and extremely helpful. We travelled with our 19 months old baby and Anita ma'am ensured we did not have any issues especially the availability of heaters. We needed to use the kitchen to prepare food for our baby. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the basic amenities that one can ask for and thus our experience was hassle free. The caretaker also is a very nice lady who not only kept the house spotless clean but also extended help with the dishes. If we talk about the surroundings, the pictures don't do justice. The house and surrounding both are very beautiful. There is a divine serenity that one can feel. At night one can clearly hear the trickling sound of the Beas river flowing. We are really glad that we chose this homestay. It really felt like a home away from home. Would recommend this to others too &would definitely want to come here again. The hosts were really nice and welcoming. We had a great time staying here. The place is located in a very peaceful location. You can see the river and snow covered mountains from the stay. The best thing about the stay is it is pet friendly. We had a great time playing with the host’s dogs. They were friendly and loved belly rubs.
