I wanted to be in the countryside of Ireland for a months and hosted various family members throughout the month. Tara’s place was perfect for my needs. Very homey, plenty of room to be together or spread out. The views of the countryside as well as Galway Bay were outstanding, better even than the published pictures.

Very nice house. Clean and firewood left for the wood burner. Felt very comfortable and right at home. Within walking distance to Lahinch. Accommodated our early check in request. Would recommend this house! 5☆

Great location near downtown and the water. We booked it, late in the day. He was very accommodating and communicative. It was a great place for us to stay the night.

Excellent. We had a peaceful 2 nights at Sandras. A local taxi brought us to and from the village. We walked from the house to the Dun Aengus fort then got a taxi back to pick up our bags en route to the ferry. Sandra kindly let us store the bags at the house after check out. 5 stars 🌟

We had an amazing stay at this property! The house was incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The stunning water views and the peaceful, private setting made it feel like our own little retreat. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature while still having all the modern conveniences. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a serene stay.

Great stay just outside of Galway over the St Patrick’s weekend with 5 friends. Just a €20 taxi into town, lovely big private house perfect for us. Loved the smart tv to have a movie night, had everything we needed. Very responsive when we asked for help with a couple of things ie. The alarm going off when first entering the property and an issue with the water which they sent a plumber out to within an hour at 7pm on the bank holiday to sort. I loved this house it was super cosy and warm. The kitchen was very well stocked with every cooking tool. I would love to go back during the summer to take advantage of the giant garden.

I had a lovely stay in Marie's tiny home. It was absolutely perfect and had everything you'd need. Marie and her husband are so welcoming and easy to chat to. I would so recommend this spot, a hidden gem and a lovely escape from the city! I would love to stay there again sometime. Thank you Marie, you're a great host!

great family place to stay in Galway. we had the necessary amenities, enough space and a great location. easy to get to Dublin's airport and supermarkets.

Edel was a brilliant host to me. So helpful and responsive. She was very accommodating with my late check-in time and generously offered me a lift into town. The home was spotlessly clean and had everything I could need. I would very highly recommend staying here.

Secluded location was just a 10-15 minute drive from a town that had plenty of dining and shopping options, and just a few minutes from the Piper's Inn restaurant. The house was fully renovated and had four large, comfortable beds. The tap water tasted great, and the view from the porch was pleasant.

Geraldine was an angel. So helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time. We will miss the little place!

A MUST STAY! everything about this lovely hut was perfect, we had a wonderful and relaxing time, truly the gateway we need it. Carmel was an amazing host, always responsive and gave us great recommendations. If I came come back, know I will be staying here again!

Irene, the house manager, was an absolute joy to communicate with. Always prompt and accommodating, she ensured that our stay was seamless and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a secluded escape to truly appreciate the rugged charm of Connemara, Hawthorn House is an exceptional choice. We left feeling refreshed and connected to the beauty of Ireland’s west. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay. The place was so cosy with really comfortable beds and lovely underfloor heating. The location was fabulous, it felt completely remote and yet it was a five minute drive to a lovely town that had a large Supervalue and a lovely bakery. We explored lots of places such as the Cliffs of Moher and Lahinch which were both close by. So light and airy inside with beautiful colours that reflected the landscape, a very interesting array of books as well. Our favourite part was the barrel hot tub where you can look up at the stars at night (there are so many because of the lack of light pollution in the area). Definitely check this place out!

Our stay at Dorothy's place was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, Dorothy's warmth, humor, and genuine care made us feel right at home. She truly is the most wonderful host you could ever wish for. The house is beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches and plenty of information about the local area. Dorothy was always available to offer invaluable advice on where to eat, explore, and even save money. Her recommendations were spot on and made our trip even more special. The location is perfect, with a stunning lake just a short walk away. Thanks to Dorothy's provided equipment, we enjoyed kayaking and taking in the serene views. The hot tub was another highlight—spacious, impeccably maintained, and absolutely enchanting at night with the fairy lights twinkling around us. Outdoor space's perfect for alfresco dining, and the presence of the donkeys and two friendly dogs added an extra layer of charm to our stay. It truly felt like a slice of haven on earth. 10/10
