Peaceful location and just the right size. We enjoyed our time sitting on the porch reading, eating and just rocking in the large rocking wooden rocking chairs while chatting. We watched the ducks and geese on the lake. In the evenings, we could see the turtles stick their heads out of the water. Although there was lots to do, we only took advantage of the pools. If you are someone who wants to be doing something and planning activities to keep little ones busy, you have lots of options at the resort where this cabin is located.

We had a fantastic at the cabin and resort! Here are some details: Cabin: came exactly as described. It had all the basics that you could need, but not much more. More than serviceable but still very much a cabin. Having said that, the beds were extremely comfortable. Resort: the amenities and perks of staying at the resort are really hard to beat. access to the pools, the lake and boat/kayaks, equestrian activities, game room, etc. were really great. And we went when the kids pool and playground were under reservation. Host was an excellent communicator, did everything she could to get us in early early and let us check out late so we could continue to enjoy the beautiful day and amenities. We also went into the town of gordonsville twice, definitely recommend the ice house, chicken restaurant and the barbecue exchange. All and all, it was a great trip and we will definitely be back, especially once the renovations at the resort are complete.

Decided to stay spontaneously & I am so glad we did! Our family had the best time. There was always something to do or see. The cabin was spacious for our family of 4 & very comfortable. We felt right at home. The staff was very accommodating as well. We only had one little hiccup & Dave answered right away, cleared it up immediately. Can't wait to stay again!

Me and my boyfriend had so much fun! We came down for my birthday and we had the best time. The cabin was beautiful and the hot tub was our favorite place to relax! I would definitely come back in the future!

This was a great place for our needs! 5 girlfriends drove from 2-3 hours away for a girl's weekend. The layout of the house, kitchen, and living room suited our needs just fine. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean, which is all we ever ask. The were 2 things that were only very slightly bothersome, but not enough to turn us away from this place again. One, there wasn't a lot of lighting available in the living room and we had to get creative with the 2 lamps that were there. The other thing was we didn't realize there wasn't a bathroom in the basement. I am sure if I looked more closely at the photos, I would see that, and again it wouldn't deter us from staying there again, but if we had our kids with us, it would be a hinderance. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend! We enjoyed building a fire in the fireplace while it stormed outside and getting cozy on the couch. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us to spread out, read books, and enjoy each others company.

We had a perfect stay with Kim! The cabin was exactly as advertised and it was a great place to hole up over a cold weekend. My toddler daughter got to play with the cats and feed the horses that are stabled there. My husband enjoyed the rustic setting and the breweries nearby. And I got an amazing prenatal massage on-site. It's a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a little peace and quiet.

This home is so comfortable, clean and fun! The host was very responsive, quickly answering my questions after booking. She was so kind and helpful. The home had everything we needed. It was so open, light and airy. The bunk room was adorable and comfortable. Everything was spotless. We played pickleball on the sport court, walked on the trails, tried the zip line, played ping pong and darts. The location is perfect for visiting Charlottesville but is so peaceful. We really enjoyed the privacy, peace and quiet. We loved seeing the cows in the neighbor’s pasture. It was a pleasure to get away from everything during our stay here.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Airbnb. Everything was exactly as it was described and shown in the pictures. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this place to anyone for whatever reason. It really was a joy to stay there..

This stay is one of my favorite places. The house is super charming. Their theme of “the lucky duck” goes nicely with their “squeaky” clean place. (Pun intended). The hot tub was frequently maintained and sanitized, and was sparkly clean. Not many places have such a perfect house combined with a hot tub! The community was safe, with a guarded gate. The kitchen was very well equipped, as was the rest of the house. These hosts are very thoughtful with what they provide the guests. For example, there was a step stool in the bathroom which allowed my kiddos to reach the sink. I could stay there forever! The kitchen is the cutest kitchen, with charming vintage touches, and every gadget/appliance/utensil you could possibly need. Highly recommend.

Nice Cabin. Super close to a food lion which was great for essentials. Host was very helpful with her direct instructions on how and where to enter the cabin and how to get there via alternative directions needed instead of the maps route. The game room downstairs was cool with the pool table as well.

Such an amazing stay! This was my first experience with an Airbnb and I am already planning on returning to the cabin with family. So much to do, very clean, and the host was so responsive. 5 stars for sure!

This is such a lovely get away! I loved that it was so close to DC, but once you get out there, it was heavenly to just be in nature, where it was quiet and no one around to bother you. There were such thoughtful personal touches that just delighted us. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a nice relaxing get away!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin!

On our last morning in the Cabin in Orange, I had to drag (metaphorically speaking) my wife from the property. We booked the Chris’ cabin for our anniversary weekend and we weren’t disappointed. The cabin was stocked with everything that we needed for our stay. The kitchen had great appliances and the bathroom had an amazing walk-in shower We enjoyed cool nights by the firepit, grilling and enjoying the scenic view, to conversations on the balcony in the quiet neighborhood. The inside of the cabin was beautiful, furnished, and had great space usage. I enjoyed the loft, as it reminded me of my childhood home. Everything was purposely placed to provide a calming ambiance which was what we needed to wind down and reconnect. Chris was a wonderful host, who provided open communication. He also provided great restaurant recommendations; we really enjoyed The Cove!l We highly recommend booking this property if you want to get away from it all!

We had a wonderful time at this Lake House celebrating my sons birthday and spending time with friends. The lake house was very cozy and perfect size for what we needed. We cooked several meals and used the grill and had everything we needed. The views are amazing. The lake wraps around this house and you have a beautiful view from so many windows. The dock was lovely and we also used the fire pit. The older kids loved the ping pong table and basement area to hang out. Would definitely rent again. Thank you Susanne!!! ❤️.
