We loved our stay at this beautiful home just outside of La Fortuna. The location was easy to access and just on the outside of town that it was peaceful. There were always birds out to watch in the mornings. We loved the pool to cool off from the heat. The group of hosts were extremely helpful and very quick to respond to any questions. They were attentive to our needs. Prior to booking we had inquired about a pack n play crib for our baby and they sourced one for our stay. This was so greatly appreciated, making it so we didn't have to haul one from home. The only thing I will note is that the railings in the home are not particularly safe for a baby/young toddler so they must be carefully watched. It's clear from the photos and not the fault of the owners but something to keep in mind if travelling with little ones. We would easily come back here in the future. We loved our stay!

Amazing house. Even nicer than the photos. Gorgeous view of Arenal from the top deck. Lovely pool. It was a super relaxing visit. The AC units are only in the bedrooms but this was not a problem at all and my husband is very much an AC person. We had fans going and the AC from the bedrooms came into the living room, so it was very comfortable and cool. Great internet. Quiet neighborhood. We loved it so much, close to town, couldn’t have been better. Thanks so much Sindy!!!

Very nice house with fantastic garden. You have a chance to see parrots and another birds.All equipment works fine.Housekeeper Rosalija lives in the next house, she is always there to help. Unfortunatelly, the house is just 50 m from main road , and, when trucks are going down the hill, the sound is so strong, that you can not speak to one another when you are outside. Take something to protect you ears in night, the trucks start move before 6AM, and finish after 11PM. Another problem is that the house is far from La Fortuna, it is 20 min to drive. It is self check-in, but the owner had not gave us instructions prior , so we had to write him down again to open the gates.They have strange code lock on the front door, which had closed themselves at 10 PM, when we was outside, so we was forced to broke the door. It appears,that owners knows about this problem, but do nothing to fix it.

I proprietari sono stati veloci nel rispondere quando cercavo una posizione più dettagliata da immettere sulle mappe. Ci hanno anche aiutati con la lavanderia: in poche ore, ci hanno lavato, asciugato e piagato i vestiti. Posto molto carino, in un comprensorio con altre tre villette. C’è la piscina, parcheggio privato, la casa è attrezzata per quattro persone. Unica pecca: il piano cottura è plug in, ma è comunque prevista la cucina in comune, ben attrezzata e con un tavolo esterno comodo. Bagno ben organizzato, doccia spaziosa. Avendo la macchina, in 5 minuti si è al centro città. Posto consigliato.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb. The place was very beautiful. The bathroom especially is very pretty. We also loved the pool! Our host was super great. Very friendly and helpful. She made us breakfast each morning which was delicious and was very responsive, answering our messages whenever we needed anything/had any questions. Definitely would recommend for a girls trip. We had a great stay.

We had a very nice stay at Villa Mara. It was thankfully out of the way of the crowds of La Fortuna in a beautiful and peaceful surrounding. There was tons of wildlife all around the villa. It sounded like a “jungle” sound machine all the time. Bring earplugs if you don’t want to be woken up by the resident birds at 5am. Kitchen was small with little area for food prep, so don’t expect to do a lot of cooking here. We loved all the outdoor areas best, especially the pool and hot tub.

We had an amazing stay here! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. Jonathan was incredibly welcoming and provided thoughtful local recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable, the trit ice cream that was recommended was fantastic. The location was perfect for nature lovers and attractions but still peaceful and quiet. The local food he provided was delicious and made you feel right at home. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway from all the tourists. The only downside is getting all the way up to the parking was difficult despite having a 4x4 car, best to stay parked at the bottom of the hill and walk up.

We absolutely loved our stay in Shiloh’s home! Betto and the others were all so helpful and were great cooks. Having meals ready when we got home from our activities was very convenient especially for our group of 11 adults. The beds were also super comfortable and there were plenty of rooms for us to spread out and have our own space. The home was in a convenient location in the middle of many of our activities and a short 20-30 min drive into the town of La Fortuna

We really enjoyed our stay in La Fortuna!! The Airbnb was not too far from any of the activities we wanted to do. The backyard is incredible and amazing to use the pool after a warm day exploring. The main area of the house is warm, but each bedroom has an air conditioner which definitely helps. The activities we enjoyed were the Mistico hanging bridges, zip lining ($56 for 11 lines from Hotel Paraiso), El Salto rope swing (free), Sloth tour ($60 with Callidryas tours), and La Fortuna waterfall. All were very fun and worth it! For eating our top choices were Kenko and Soda Tita Rosa!! We have 3 kids with us and we all agree this has been one of our best trips! Thanks for letting us stay!!

Logement exceptionnel ! Contrairement à beaucoup de Airbnb, celui ci n'est pas seulement réservé à la location mais est la maison secondaire du propriétaire et ça fait toute la différence. Il est très propre et très bien équipé. Tavi est aussi un excellent hôte.

What a fabulous place! The views were stunning and sunsets were spectacular! I really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings watching the sun come up. We took advantage of the family restaurant and had them bring breakfast right to our outdoor table one morning. It was amazing! We also brought dinner back from the family restaurant one night and watched the sunset…wow!! Highly recommend!

What a great place to stay! I would highly recommend, and we will stay there again if ever we are back in the area.

Daniel’s place was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. It was about a 15min walk into downtown La Fortuna. Daniel was highly responsive. He gave us recommendations of what to do, and always responded to my questions immediately. Overall, great stay and would recommend

Please read well the description before booking. We thought the whole building was for us but as clearly mentioned in the listing you get only one floor (we didn't read it carefully so it was our fault). Communication with the hosts was excellent from the booking to check out. The place is located in a quiet area next to a finca with cows, a bit far away from the small town and the main road is not paved and a bit bumpy for the last 2 km. The view from the house is really relaxing with a beautiful sunset. We loved the natural peace at night time. Kitchen is equipped enough to cook some basic meals, bathroom with hot shower and good pressure for costarican standards. If you stay downstairs maybe you could hear other guests steps from the apartment upstairs sometimes. Overall a nice stay!

El lugar es excelente en general, muy buena ubicación y tiene todo las comodidades que menciona la descripción. Tuvimos una experiencia genial desde el check in hasta el check out. El lugar es cómodo y espacioso, con buena ventilación y claridad, la cocina está muy bien equipada. El jacuzzi también está bien equipado. Hay una lista de actividades que se pueden hacer cerca, recomiendo el tour de la granja que fue muy agradable. Estamos muy agradecidos con el trato recibido y esperamos regresar pronto!

The house is beautiful, our group of 8 (4 adults/4 kids) had lots of space and the pool area is amazing. The house is located about a 5-7 min drive from the main area of La Fortuna, which is about a $4-5 USD trip via Uber. The house is very clean and very well maintained, attention to detail is clearly visible. Carlos and the team @ Home Vacations were great to work with, Carlos is a 1-stop shop for everything. He even helped me set up transportation for all 8 of us for our trips from San Jose, La Fortuna, Monte Verde & Guanacaste. I highly recommend this home, and big thank you to Carlos!

This was the cutest little house with the most beautiful garden. We loved relaxing on the back patio just listening to the river rushing by. I wish I was still lying in that hammock! The house was very clean and stocked with everything you need. Karla was a wonderful host and she even made us some chorreadas to try! Definitely recommend!!!

El lugar acogedor, limpio y perfecto para tiempo en familia o con amigos, es muy tranquilo y tiene suficiente espacio en el estacionamiento. Excelente comunicación con el anfitrión, son muy amables y siempre pendientes.

Eva's place was incredibly peaceful and private with a beautiful, well tended garden out back. With the windows open, you don't feel the need for AC at all (it was very cool during our stay in early March.) The windows do not have any screens, which created a few humorous encounters with critters, but we had a great time. It is also a tricky/steep drive along rocky mountain roads to most places, but this seemed to be the case for everywhere here (except maybe in Santa Elena itself.) We had a great time and Eva was a great host.

This is a beautiful 5 bedroom house with a nice pool and a great outdoors area to eat and hang out. Very convenient for a large family to stay (we were a group of 10 with 8 adults and 2 kids). There's a small grocery store and a bakery less than a 5 minute walk, and it's a reasonable drive to the attractions. Very responsive support staff. The only thing we missed was kitchen having some usual amenities such as a tea pot but we worked around that. Great find for a relaxing and peaceful stay!
