This was our second time staying at the Toasted Marshmallow, and we loved it just as much as the first time! It's cozy, secluded, and peaceful. We had a great time relaxing and spending quality time together, and it was an easy drive to get to Galena to shop. My kids loved the toys and games that are provided! This is a great place for a friends getaway weekend, and we plan to stay here again in the future.

Great location for us as the relatives we were visiting is walking distance which was perfect! We all loved the sunken fireplace sitting area and had never seen one before. The house was stocked with everything we needed or wanted and was very clean a d tidy. Even tho the Mississippi River was frozen, the view was spectacular ~ we didn't see Eagles but I'm sure they are there! We plan on coming back in the fall for color and eagle watching! Do not hesitate to book!!

Stayed here with family. Easy to find. Quiet. Layout worked out well. 3 bathrooms! Able to block off stairs. traveled with a senior dog with a bad knee. Kitchen had anything we needed. Relaxing after a day at Chesnut Mountain. Beds comfortable, bathrooms spotless. husband enjoyed the puzzle ball game. Nicely decorated to reflect the holiday season!

Had a fabulous stay at Alex’s cabin-themed home. My group of gals loved the spaciousness, well-stocked kitchen, hot tub, and proximity to downtown Galena & hiking. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful and peaceful home surrounded by nature. We were looking to “unplug” and spend quality time together. We loved the pond, birdwatching and the hot tub on cold nights. The house is perfect and has everything you need. Downtown Galena is only a short ride away and we enjoyed learning about its rich history. Thank you for letting us into your cozy home.

Perfect stay for our girls’ getaway! We stayed here to celebrate our bride-to-be, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The place was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was amazing—just a short distance from the shops in Galena, which made exploring so easy. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy time together, and make special memories. Highly recommend for any group looking for a charming and convenient stay!!

Rylea’s is great and her place is fantastic. We had an event at UD and her place was less than 5 mins. She was extremely communicative. Her place was so clean and spacious. Each of our boys were able to have their own room while we had the master bedroom on the main floor. We will definitely stay here again.

My family of nine had an amazing stay at Cynthia‘s place. We thoroughly enjoyed the owners club and all of the activities that it included, including Pickleball, the pool, the gym and the basketball courts. There was truly something for everybody. My six-year-old nephew loved playing in the backyard, my two cousins enjoyed, making s’mores in the fire pit, my husband loved working out at the gym in the morning, and my parents enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub. Fantastic location, and value for a wonderful family weekend. We went into town two days in a row and loved the shops and restaurants. My family enjoyed the wine bars and one of the breakfast spots on Main Street. We did have quite a bit of lady bug visitors in the home, but given the time of year and location in nature, it didn’t bother us. Would happily return, great memories made!

Sandra's home is beautiful! Spacious, tastefully decorated. The home is situated on a sloping hill with trees & flowers to enjoy. One can sit out on the back deck which overlooks all of this beauty and enjoy their morning coffee or evening glass of wine in peace. Sandra is warm & friendly. If your looking for a specific thing she provides guidance. It's also very rare to find a place that includes breakfast but she does and oh what a breakfast! Sandra is an excellant cook and you won't need lunch! Beds are quite comfy and if your as lucky as I was fall asleep to an owl hooting, something you'll never hear in the city. Overall it was a great getaway and well worth the money!

nicely furnished space, felt very homey and was easy to relax and enjoy! was exactly what I was looking for for the weekend and very conveniently located in Scales Mound.

This condo is perfect for a little getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The bed was comfortable! The jet tub was relaxing and perfect for 2 people! Downfall is that the shower head is VERY small and there’s a weird clunking behind the toilet, in the plumbing.

We enjoyed our stay. The place is very clean, beds are very comfortable and it was very quiet. I would highly recommend for a group of 3 or less. The stairs are steep but we didn’t have any problems as there are great rails in either side. Best place I’ve stayed in since coming to Galena for the past 10 years.

Would stay again. Thanks for everything. We had 6 women from Kane County ages 54 - 80, some who had never even met..... and we still had a good time!!!!! :) :) :)

Recently stayed here for a long girl's weekend and it far exceeded our expectations! There were 4 of us and we each had our own bedroom AND bathroom which is really hard to find. The kitchen and dining room are spacious and the living room super comfy - we spent our evenings there just chatting and hanging out. You can tell that Andrew and Sara put a lot of thought and effort into decorating the space to give it a very cozy and inviting vibe. Lots of extra touches - the soft linens, sound machine in each bedroom, cute decor. We definitely intend on another girl's trip to Galena and plan to stay in this house again. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay! Jolene was an amazing host and gave us great recommendations of where to go. Very clean, cozy, and unique cabin. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a weekend getaway!

Highly recommended. I definitely want to come back during winter and summer time. Beth’s place is as described. Charming and beautiful house. They have a lot of games and activities to do that you don’t need to leave the house. However there are a lot of activities to do near by… outdoor activities etc. Beth’s provides a list of activities and things to do which is great. The communication was great and she is very responsive. We definitely want to come back.

This was a gem , huge space with lots to do , everything your family can possibly need to bring groceries and have an equipped kitchen to cook a cabin meal. GAME ROOM YESSSS everyone loved all the games . Laundry room with newer machines ,great space . Master bedroom huge with whirlpool tub works great . Outdoor hot tub on a cold day was a must our stay was temp 65-71 temp . Flat grill perfect with a huge table on balcony overseeing the river . Fire pit was nice for spooky stories . Lastly huge dining table with many choices of coffee and teas . Big open concept and great utility room with cleaning supplies. Not to mention the board wall with passes to the beach And all other amenities with information with places to go . I have to say we tried a in town pizza shop called “ corner tap” in Stockton 5 stars . Had the Chicago style and pan both great ! And I’m from Chicago so we know pizza !

We had an awesome experience at Tracy’s Airbnb for our girls trip. We loved the walking trails that were near and saw a lot of wildlife which was a nice surprise in the morning. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family!

We had a very last minute request to stay at Scott’s Cabin very late at night and Scott not only confirmed the booking but left us a bottle of wine (we were celebrating our anniversary). We had many questions and he kindly replied to all of them. The house has everything you could ask for and more! We will absolutely be staying here again!

The house was even better than the photos. Beds and linens were wonderful and very comfortable. Lots of room for our family of six. Tons of outdoor toys and equipment for the kids and adults alike. We had a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. From swimming at the clubhouse, viewing the stars with s’mores in the amazing fire pit area, hiking at Apple Canyon, shopping downtown, we did it all! Hosts were very responsive. Thanks for hosting us!
