This old-fashioned diner, owned by a single mom, serves hearty meals that last all day. Their eggs Benedict, with fresh spinach, avocado, and homemade skillet potatoes, is a standout. Watching “CoCo” cook—his energy is unmatched—is an experience! Get there early; we went twice, and it was packed. Consider contributing to The Local Joint’s “pay it forward” option. A $10 donation covers a meal for someone in need. This region of North Carolina was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but the community is rebuilding. Many businesses and walking trails remain closed, so keep that in mind.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great communication, excellent location that was walkable to downtown but also peaceful and quiet. Very comfortable and we loved the private hot tub. Will stay again!

Stayed here a few years ago, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered! When you walk in you automatically feel at home and it is just so pristinely clean! Don’t hesitate on booking your stay here!!!

Just what my husband and I needed. Far enough from town so it was peaceful but still close enough to be able to do stuff. The hot tub was probably my husband’s and I favorite thing lol

Zarephath was the perfect place to escape the daily duties of parenthood and celebrate our anniversary. Michael was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed and more.

Home was great, clean and comfortable. Hot tub worked wonderfully. Hosts were accommodating to all of our needs, friendly, and responsive. We had a wonderful trip.

This quaint cottage is nestled in the blue ridge mountains with beautiful views and cozy amenities. The house was as described, the hot tub was great, the stars were beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I wanted to have a peaceful weekend after attending appointments at the VA hospital close by. This location hit the mark perfectly! Peaceful, simply elegant, and clean with the bonus of nature surrounding us. We enjoyed relaxing evenings looking at the stars from the jacuzzi.

Wonderful stay just minutes from Asheville but quiet and dark enough to see stars and wildlife. Loved the big screened porch and seating on the ridge, as well as all the tools in the kitchen.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my fiancés birthday in Saluda as well as staying at Karen and Katie’s place. It’s an absolute adorable house that was perfect for the two of us and our service dog. Location was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for! Would definitely go back!

My husband and I booked Mike's place because it was recommended to us by family that lives in the area. It did not disappoint, in fact, it exceeded my expectations. I can't say enough of how clean and welcoming it was, and after a long drive we were so happy to unwind in such a perfect place. The location was also extremely important for us. It was near our family and it was walking distance to Main Street. We were a short drive to favorite restaurants and to Pisgah National Forest. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and look forward to visiting again. Thank you Mike! We appreciate your hard work in maintaining such a lovely place.

We had a truly wonderful time here! Mike was the most amazing host, and greeted us when we arrived. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, the cozy cottage, and beautiful yard. Most importantly, I forgot my work laptop when I left, and Mike was so understanding and responsive. He arranged for next-day shipping, which put my distraught mind at ease. I’m so grateful for Mike’s hospitality and trustworthiness! We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Asheville. Thank you!!

Beautiful home—we enjoyed our stay very much. Francis was friendly and so helpful! We brought our son and two furry four legged daughters who loved the grounds! It was actually better than pictures and descriptions. Home was clean, inviting, comfortable. You won’t be disappointed picking this home for a vacation or quick stay We will definitely be back. Great location — 10 mins to the Blue Ridge parkway and 10 mins to grocery stores. The space was comfortable and we enjoyed lounging on the patio bed after a hike. Our dog loved the path behind the house too!

Jennifer was an awesome host. We had to adjust the dates of our vacation due to bad weather and she was very accommodating and quick to respond. We were coming from out of state, so her quickness to respond was honestly what saved us from having to cancel our vacation.

We had a very comfortable stay for two nights. We had two couples staying and for us, sharing a bathroom amongst the four of us was very easy and simple. The itchen was well sticked. The lication is such that going for a walk would not E easy but the home itself was more than comfortable .

Delightful stay! Went to Asheville for business and stayed at this lovely cottage in nearby Candler. This pristine one bedroom unit, (with fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and gas fireplace), is located in a rural setting a short drive from Asheville. Ate at nearby Hungry Bear Cafe, (a great diner serving breakfast and lunch) as well as at the Waffle House. Ordered delivery twice from El Paraiso Mexican Grill and once from Galactic Pizza. Thumbs up all around. Thanks Joan!

We stayed in the Gala Getaway cottage and it was wonderful! The description given by Jennifer was spot on. The cottage is extremely private and clean. Next time we visit the area we definitely hope that the cottage is available as it is close to everything. It is convenient to access downtown Hendersonville, wineries and several apple orchards . It is minutes from highway 26 while providing a quiet peaceful setting. We recommend it to anyone visiting the area

This was our second stay at Bluebird and it was just as lovely as the first. Lauria and Randy are excellent hosts and their home is such a peaceful respite from the world. Our boys were 1 and 4 last time we came and they’ve been asking to go back ever since. They were sad to leave when it was time to go. They feel so at home there. A perfect way to explore the beautiful WNC region while coming home to a peaceful, secluded paradise at the end of every day.

This cottage provided a wonderful weekend getaway. It is cozy with all that you would need. They were great with their instructions and the location was very quiet. It is walkable to many of our favorite eating spots. It was a great find for the 2 of us, and we look forward to going back!

Lovely little cottage in a holler with creek and privacy. We had some light snow but roads were passable. Great place for small family and close to numerous activities.

Rented the Airbnb for family members to stay at while there were here from out of town. Per the uncle the house was cleaned, convenient, easy to find, and close to restaurants and stores. Home was clean and comfortable.

This place was an absolute dream. Extremely peaceful, tucked away, with incredible views. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive when we had an issue.
