Lake Michigan : séjours à la ferme

We took a short weekend trip north with our dog to enjoy the peak fall colors. Our stay at Bill's was great, and we appreciated it being pet friendly! His place was as described, very peaceful location with his horses and chickens as well as lots of visits from local wildlife. Bill was very accommodating and gave us lots of recommendations on things to do. His barn is very cool! There were nice trails within a short walking distance, just behind his property, and he's also only a few minutes outside of town. Short's Brewery is right in town. We did some day hikes around the area and around Old Mission Bay along the water as well. This would be a fun spot to return to . Thanks again Bill!

Beautiful home with a beautiful and peaceful setting. Host supplied a lot of amenities and everything was as described in the listing and photos. Our family really enjoyed our time together and all our children ages 10 down to one, had a lot of fun. The games in the basement kept them entertained as well as the path through the woods with the log cabin, TP and oversized chair.

We were very fortunate to have found the Granary while looking for a place in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. We very much enjoyed the quiet of the countryside and appreciated its proximity to some of our favorite lake Michigan beaches. Bonnie was very welcoming and answered all of our questions before arrival. We will definitely consider a stay here again in the future

Tom and Kitty were excellent! The island is gorgeous and the beach area is perfect. The water does not get too deep which was wonderful for the kids and my sanity. Perfect spot for a family getaway! They allowed us to use their kayaks, canoe and swimming platform. Tom also put out children at play signs which was such a thoughtful touch. All together an unforgettable family experience. Just lovely!

Jeffrey's place was very cute. And was perfect for our quick stay. The place was clean and comfortable. It was pouring rain the whole time, but I could see that the yard was gorgeous. Also Fisher the dog was very welcoming and greeted us when we arrived and when we left.

Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodations, great hosts! We had an absolute blast and can't wait to go back.

Enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was well-stocked, the property was beautiful. The upstairs bedroom was very spacious, so if you’re traveling with a group, everyone will have room for their luggage. She provided delicious farm-fresh eggs for breakfast.

Jenny's place was perfect for our Pastor Retreat. Very comfortable home. Beautiful, convenient, with many places within her home for private times alone and meeting times together. Jenny provided brunch on two of our days and the meals were tasty, prompt and served with a smile. The four bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, perfect for the four of us. We would recommend Jenny's place without any hesitation, we hope to meet there again.

Such a lovely place! Well maintained trails to explore. The instructions to get in and out were super clear + easy to follow. Although they live right next door, we truly felt like we had the place to ourselves. Everything you could need was provided. Close to town, but feels like a country getaway! Hope to return again and again while visiting family in the area.

The Black Barn is an absolutely gorgeous, one-of-a-kind place - a real gem. We could have spent our entire weekend just exploring the nooks and crannies of the quirky building and delving into its delightful collection of books, but there were also lots of animals to meet, many enjoyable woodland walks, take-home treats from the farm store, and the wonderful wood-fired sauna. Brett and Molly were amazing hosts, and we loved learning about the farm. Can't wait to be back!

How do you sum it up in 1,000 characters. Beautiful. Clean. Attention to detail. Warm. Inviting. Welcoming. Peaceful. Saw the Best sunset I’ve ever seen. Wildlife. Safe. Secure. If you forgot it, she most likely already has it stocked in the loft for you. Comfortable. Dog friendly!! Kristin has thought of everything, stocking the loft with multiple flavors of coffee (both keurig and drip), tea, books for kids, board games, dog toys, dog treats, bath robes, it smells amazing all throughout (from entering the main door, all the way to inside the loft itself). Chalkboard table (creative and fun). You get a feeling of being right at home, like she is someone you can easily reach out to with whatever question you may have, with whatever request you may have. It’s a quiet calm environment. Location was easy to find. Plowed perfectly in winter. Good water pressure, long lasting hot water. Has dishes & paper plates, new fridge, nice stove. Microwave. Large deck. Highly recommend you stay here!

This is our 2nd stay at the Farm House Retreat, we absolutely love the home. Terri has thought of everything you need for your short or long term stay, I highly recommend it.

Jodi’s place was great for our weekend getaway to Holland. The home was so cozy and comfortable and we really enjoyed the fire pit!

Kathi was on site when we arrived, and was very friendly throughout the whole process, the place is spacious and overall a cute place, I love that it has a fireplace, plenty of towels, blankets and the use of items in her kitchen area and as an added bonus, if you like cats, they have an adorable black and orange hanging around (outside of course) with a beautiful tabby like farm cat. This place is perfect for families or just to getaway.

The Chick's Roost was by far one of the most peaceful and convenient places we have ever stayed at. The surrounding area is so peaceful and quiet, located in the woods. Less than an hour from downtown Traverse City, it is perfectly located. The host literally has thought of what would be needed to live there, as that is how it came to be. The couple used it as a place to stay while building their home on the property. We will definitely be back soon.

Valerie’s place was absolutely perfect! We stayed overnight after driving up from Florida and the backyard was the perfect place for the dogs to run and get out energy. Valerie was proactive, responsive and so helpful. Do not hesitate to book, especially for the dog parents :)

We had the best time! Very close to the ski resort and yet very private and cozy!

The property offered a greatly needed escape from city life. It was centrally located to Salt Lake and Lundington. The acreage was like a park for the dogs to run. It would be a great place to take kids to play. We especially loved these aspects of the property. We were able to relax around the fire pit after a long day on the dunes and being on the lake. Listening to nature and enjoying the stars was exactly what we needed. Getting back in touch with what really matters, the love of family and friends. A extraordinary revitalizing time with the natural surroundings. Deers were seen daily on the property. We enjoyed hearing the birds singing in the morning and crickets chirping at night. What a way to unwind from the big city life Cincinnati has. We will definitely come back to this property! Thank you Michael for allowing us this great experience.

The Flying Diamond ranch is such a special place! We loved everything about it, but especially spending time with/feeding the animals and taking long walks around the property. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Ashley and Rancher Tom!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for our large family event. It was expensive once the Airbnb & cleaning fees were factored in, however, it allowed our entire family to be together and that’s what was important to us. Kori is amazing at keeping in touch and goes the extra mile to be sure her guests have a great visit!!

The house was very nice and the location is great. Overall was a great stay.

Spending my birthday and Valentine's Day in Sheboygan was magical thanks to James and Erik. Between the layout, furniture, artwork and overall vibe...staying at the Carriage House was like being transported to 1905. Dog friendly with a fenced in yard allowed us to bring the pups Calvin and Hobbes. We were welcomed with a lovely bottle of wine and 2 drink chips to Urbane, one of many great bars/restaurants we enjoyed within walking distance of the property. It was a cold and windy weekend, so many of the things we had planned to do were replaced with snuggling on the couch watching movies or playing board games. I look forward to visiting again when the snow melts.
