Wonderful all around! This home is in a great location that is a close drive to the Charleston area but escapes the traffic and crowds with spaces for relaxing, enjoying a morning coffee on the deck, or eating a meal together. Quiet and comfortable, thoughtfully prepared for renters - dogs & humans alike! A gem. Highly recommend Peek at the Creek!

Finding a affordable place to stay to visit Charleston at a affordable price is extremely difficult. That is what I discovered. You can either get scalped downtown paying thousands - maybe a night - for a mediocre hotel, or take a chance to get a vrbo or airbnb close to town and get junk house in a slum neighborhood. I had to go to a wedding. So did other family members. I tailored my search for highest guest ratings and this property came up. Yeah it took 30 minutes to drive to town. but again - anything closer was a slum or a 1000+ a night in town. I was pleasantly surprised. This property is a older ranch in a middle class neighborhood that has been COMPLETELY remodeled - and I mean COMPLETELY. New appliances, new flooring, new paint, the furniture may be original but it was comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and it was easy to travel to the city and easy to get back. My other family members picked a airbnb rental in Mt Pleasant - spent $3000 on a dump.

This home was absolutely amazing! That’s a chef’s kitchen to say the least! The beds were sooooo comfortable! The home was spacious and clean. The host was extremely responsive. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a very well maintained home. The showers were beyond divine! My only regret was not getting to enjoy the pool! If I get the chance to visit Charleston again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Without a doubt for sure!

We had a wonderfully relaxing, re-creational time at Charity's home on the lake. The house has a wonderful screened porch, its own dock, fishing rods and lovely views! It's very close to the Cuddo unit of the National Wildlife Refuge where we came upon an alligator, egrets, wild pigs and a marvelous array of birds. In fact, there's a great variety of bird life right around the house. Charity seems to have thought of everything her guests might need. TV reception and directions for its use are excellent. Bedrooms are very comfortable. The kitchen is easy to use but we encourage exploring the marvelous restaurants in the area--try Fayz and the House on the Lake, as well as the ones in Santee.

We absolutely loved the home, it was perfect for two families to share for a swim meet weekend. It was super close to the pool and plenty of restaurants close by! The home is beautiful, spacious, clean, it was great, just wish we could’ve spent more time there!

We enjoyed our stay and would come back :) The home was really beautiful and we loved the large backyard.

We only stayed one night, but we had all things we needed! I will say the listing has a photo of single bunks in a room, which has now been turned into a single couch and TV room- so that made sleeping arrangements a little complicated with thinking there were 4 separate rooms for people to stay, but we made it work! We had cooler weather the day we stayed, but it would have been great to use the dock/stairs down to swim on a summer day had we had nicer weather. Lots of extras in the home- our daughter had a blast playing with the tub of toys she found!

This is a cozy, functional space in a neighborhood with three comfortable bedrooms, two with attached bathrooms - exactly as advertised. Our hosts were kind and attentive, and I recommend this listing.

Just like the photos!! It was a bumpy start for us with dirty linens, broken sprayer in kitchen, no trash bags, then wifi was out for majority of one day to the following afternoon. Trish was great though! She helped with every bump and even refunded us a little bit for all the troubles. She is amazing and we would stay here again just for her and the price isn’t too bad especially for what you get. We would recommend but also let you be prepared for getting what you pay for.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was very clean and we felt right at home. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable. It is a great location with a super easy drive into downtown Charleston.

This unit was perfect for my two week stay while traveling for work. Convenient first floor unit was very clean and had everything needed for my stay. Complex is convenient to many great restaurants and grocery stores for all your needs. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Perfect place to unplug and relax for the weekend. Fire pit was fantastic and the outside table was a great place to sit enjoy the perfect weather.

We loved our stay! The space was charming, well designed, and full of charming touches. Elena was proactive, friendly, and responsive. Might we also recommend her nearby cafe, The Chatty Magpie.

Laura was a great host, the place was exactly as described. We enjoyed kayaking the canals and relaxing on the dock watching fish jump. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We booked this place for our family because my son had a baseball tournament at the shipyard park. It was maybe 15 minutes away. We didn't get to spend much time in the cabin bc we were so busy, but we would love to be able to travel back one day and stay here. It was so private and peaceful. The cabin was clean, spacious and perfect for our family. Such a cute place and it was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Thank you!!!! 😊

Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in! It was a very short trip for a baseball tournament but this will be our new Shipyard stay. It was the perfect place to unwind after travel and nail-biting games. I loved the cabin but the views from the tiny house were amazing. There was so much beauty and serenity to take in that I didn't even care about technology. With family, fishing, the fire pit and my kindle I didn't need anything else. I really appreciate such an attentive host. I'm already ready to go back!

This cabin is GORGEOUS. We were so impressed. It is clean, in a quiet neighborhood, private dock for our boat, stocked with everything we needed. I would like to specifically point out how gracious our host was as we had accidentally mixed up our check out date and was treated with kindness and understanding. We will be back and next time for a longer stay!

Suzy’s place was just as described. The place was well stocked, clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again if working in the area.
