Lake of Egypt : locations de vacances avec lave-linge et sèche-linge

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were visiting for a college tour at SIU and our kiddo felt right at home & enjoyed how stylish it was. We enjoyed the sectional couch and plentiful blankets for relaxing in the evenings after long days on our feet (between college tours and exploring nature.) We didn't get a chance to use the firepit but were excited to see the bundle of wood and smores supplies. The house is walkable to downtown and we really enjoyed breakfast at the branch and dinner at thai taste. If the kid goes to SIU, I will likley return here for visits. Michael was friendly and responsive to messages/questions and the house had lots of small touches that made it incredibly comfortable, like a fan for the bedroom and a top notch coffee maker

Great place to get away for a while and close to trails and Shawnee. They accommodated a change in my travel plans and I had an enjoyable trip, despite the bad weather.

although due to weather, I wasn't able to make it Any was still super sweet, thoughtful, very prompt on all communication. She had suggested nearby sightings and was cautious on weather we had had. Hopeful to reschedule in the future. ❤️

Simi’s place was great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there. The location was good since we were traveling to various sights of interest, nature and biking trails, etc. We’d stay there again if ever in the area.

We have a big family and needed a place we would all fit in together and a place just to get away from the busy life, and this place hit the spot! We enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak on the water. We fished and blew bubbles, and took a million pictures. We sat on the back porch swing taking in the views. We played cornhole and board games and ate smores. We ate meals together and enjoyed movies on the roku tv's. We loved the sunroom views, and the kids loved the space to play and run. I also really liked that the place wasn't cluttered with unnecessary decor. I have 5 kids, and 3 of them are under 5 years old, so it was nice not to have to worry about breaking stuff. It was amazing. The only issue I ran into was that i could not figure out how to turn on the oven, but I messaged the host and he got back to me within seconds. He was very helpful and kind. He even offered to help us with the boat if we needed it. We had a wonderful time and will be staying again in the future.

Dave's place was really great and we had plenty of room for our family, lots of amenities, and he left detailed instructions.

Jessica’s space was perfect for our girls weekend. It was spacious and cozy at the same time. The kitchen had everything you could need, I loved the large bathroom, the bedrooms were good sized and the beds were comfy. We took advantage of the outdoor seating each morning with our coffee. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!
