We were very happy with our stay. From the check in process, to the location and amenities, to the host it was a great experience. It is right at the entrance to Shenandoah, minutes from the Luray Caverns, groceries are only a 10 minute drive and there are some decent resturaunts near by. Bonus was sitting in the hot tub in the cold at night staring at the stars.

The location is lovely and peaceful. Chris was very clear about the check-in process and how to get onto the property and into the cabin.

Beautiful and unique little spot. Great place to get comfortable and watch a movie or relax in the hot tub with your significant other. Feels very private and good distance to downtown and other things in the area.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at Caroline’s cabin; it was private, with great views, and close to Shenandoah hiking. The kitchen was well supplied and the hot tub was great after a day in the mountains.

As many have reported this is a true gem!! The view is to die for! We spent one day biking to Luray from Rileyville. A stunning country road ride with farms all around, mountains on either side, no cars on the road! Would not recommend biking on overlook drive due to gravel.

We had a cabin with a beautiful view of the water. The hot tub was a lot bigger then I expected. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to come back but this time with our boys as they would of loved it.

We absolutely LOVED the cabin and didn't want to leave. It was beautiful, a great mix of rustic and modern. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathrooms. We enjoyed having the hot tub and the fire pit. The beds were comfy. It was a peaceful and a fantastic trip. We plan to stay again in the future.

Beautiful A-frame cabin in a very quite area. Living space is just as described, kitchen is in pristine condition, and has all the amenities you will need for a little getaway weekend. Kaja was extremely responsive throughout our stay, and made sure we had everything we needed. However, there are some things to note: 1.) The wifi runs on a 10GB sim card and by the time we checked in, 120GB was used out of the 10GB plan. We contacted Kaja and she responded promptly. Unfortunately we had to revert to using our own hotspot for the wifi. 2.) Not sure if it was because of the time of the year, but it was very windy outside the cabin. Because of this, we weren't able to use the fire pit. Throughout the night the winds would make the cabin creak, but luckily wasn't enough to wake us up completely. 3.) The small road leading to the cabin are very steep and bumpy, and roughly takes about 10-15 mins to get onto the main road. As long as you're prepared for the above, this place is very worth it

John's place was fantastic and just as described! It's perfect for a quiet getaway and has everything you need. Will definitely be staying there again soon!

Joy's was a great place to enjoy our family vacation. The home was clean, comfortable and accurately described. We very much enjoyed spending our time by the outdoor fire. The desk space also was a nice amenity for remote work.

Excellent overall. The only hiccup was that the basement is not heated, despite the listing saying that the whole house has central air. There is a small electric heater, but it didn't make a dent in the winter. Essentially, the basement is not usable in winter. Other than that, everything was very good.

Amazing stay in the blue ridge area of western VA! A great spot to stay for hiking old rag mountain. Would stay here again.

We stayed at this beautiful cabin for a long weekend. Everything was clean and cozy! The cabin was the perfect getaway for a relaxing quiet weekend with our dog. She loved the fenced in yard so much that she didn’t want to come inside! We would definitely return to this cabin again!

During our stay, we explored Shenandoah with a scenic hike and stopped by charming local shops before heading back to unwind at the cabin. If you’re looking for the perfect escape to relax and recharge, this is the place! We can’t wait to return.

We loved this cabin and it was perfect for a winter weekend getaway. The main lodge and the cabin were easy to find even in the dark. The cabin was cozy and had the perfect amount of amenities and the river behind the cabin was beautiful. We had fun exploring the farm and seeing all the animals. We will definitely book further stays!

Me and my boyfriend had so much fun! We came down for my birthday and we had the best time. The cabin was beautiful and the hot tub was our favorite place to relax! I would definitely come back in the future!

Lovely place with easy access to the hikes along the boundary of Shenandoah National Park like Whiteoak Canyon and Old Rag. Lots of fun touches like games and an easy to use fire pit with dry wood. One of our family has dog allergies but the house was so well cleaned we had no issues.

Can’t beat the view! We loved being able to spend time in the lawn chairs each day. John was extremely communicative and friendly!

Great stay. Lovely property and Sam was easy to communicate with. Lots of great wineries and restaurants in the area. Just be aware it can be muddy due to the dirt road and parking area. it is red clay so bring appropriate shoes/boots for the season. Would definetly stay again.

this was a great overall experience for our family! the beds were super comfy and we all enjoyed the property! host is friendly and very responsive! not a single complaint!

We truly enjoyed our weekend at "Idyllic Mountain Home - Dog Friendly/great views"! It was all of that and more! Charlotte provided detailed info on how to run the wood stove (early March can get chilly) and we were warm and cozy on both levels all weekend. Other info about the house was very detailed. Our two corgis loved wandering around the property, which is elevated and very private! We took a hike with them on Saturday off of Skyline Drive, which was only about a half hour away; lovely! Dinner Saturday night was a milestone birthday celebration at The Inn at Little Washington, and it was worth the splurge! There's a small area near the bedroom where we set up the dogs crates and they were very comfy while we were gone. I highly recommend Charlotte's home for a weekend getaway!!

We had the most wonderful stay at Pat and Peggy's BnB! From the moment we arrived, their warmth and friendliness made us feel right at home. The cabin itself was absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained and cozy, with everything we could possibly need. The location was unbeatable, offering breathtaking views and a perfect escape into nature. Pat and Peggy were exceptional hosts, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

The cabin was perfectly described and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, grilling the bison meat we got from the store, and watching the sunset from the porch. Shenandoah was a short drive away. Everything was great and I highly recommend!
