Jacqui is very detail-oriented and strives for perfection in making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! She is a caring, capable, knowledgeable, and generous hostess. It is obvious she loves her home and garden, and it is a pleasure to experience! She likes to help plan your visit to Taupō and surrounding areas to be memorable, based on her own experience living there. I really enjoyed sharing Jacquie’s home and highly recommend it to others!

If you stay in Taupo, stay at Steve & Julie’s. the location of the house is close to town and lake, yet quiet. the massive deck has an amazing view of the lake & mountains, the kitchen and living space is generous and bathrooms too. and you feel Steve & Julie put their heart and soul in the house. it was super easy to communicate with Steve, he even reached out proactively for some topics. overall amazing experience, we would have loved to stay longer!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Honor’s place — we were so lucky to find it and it answered everything that we needed. The house was immaculate and beautiful settled in a wonderful garden and less than a minute to the river and we couldn’t have had a nicer time with the perfect hosts.

We were warmly greeted by Ann, her daughter and sweet pets. After a brief tour we left for Taupo and had dinner. Upon our return we had a nice exchange about New Zealand and current events. In the morning we went for a lovely garden tour and walk along the river which was directly behind Ann’s home. We also toured her other space called the lavender room which was self contained and private and modernized. We thought it would have been a better alternative and preferred for us. I had a cozy and wonderful time at Yvonne and Garry’s home. The house is very clean and well-maintained. The fantastic breakfast is something I will never forget. We had a great time communicating and enjoying each other’s. During my trip, I had a fall and got injured, and Yvonne kindly helped me with the treatment. Yvonnen and Garry are amazing hosts. I would love to stay here again. Thank you, Yvonne and Garry!

Raewyn and Fraser are lovely, hospitable hosts. We were grateful to have a place at their home so close to the water. They were helpful and passionate about sharing things to do and places to go. Lovely people with a beautiful home and cozy room to share. We greatly enjoyed dinner with them one evening.

Lovely property, just as described. Tidy and non cluttered. Great indoor, outdoor flow with a beautiful view across the lake to the West. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms and kitchen. Short walk to a great little restaurant bar. Easy to find and get inside.

We were so impressed by the warm and clean room. Alan and Elaine welcomed us very kindly. Sadly, our English is not very good, but they kept trying to talk with us, which was really touching🥹 Even though we stayed only one night, the good hosts, their beautiful home, and the cozy room became one of our best memories in New Zealand👍

We had such memorable stay at Mary’s. Easy to find and so close to the lake. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable if felt like home. Mary gave us some great tips for local attractions and left us extra special treats just to make us feel welcome! Could not recommend highly enough.

I didn't stay here personally but my best friend did. She said it was amazing. Clean, tidy, great location. She said Jane went above and beyond. I spoke back n forth with Jane when booking the air bnb and she was super helpful.

If the Airbnb algorithm smiles on you & tucks this little gem in your search bucket, you’d be wise to reserve. We’re still asking ourselves-did this really happen; or was it all a dream we had in the most comfortable bed in a perfect apartment overlooking the beautiful lake as waves lulled us to a peaceful sleep. Then the most amazing NZ culinary delights you could dream of, lovely conversations, wonderful recommendations-a fish on the line, amazing carvings via paddleboard, a swim. The kindest people you could ever meet sharing inspiration and best example with the world.

Marki’s place is fantastic. It’s spacious, sparkling clean and incredibly comfortable. We had an amazing stay at Marki’s place and loved looking out over the lake from the patio. Direct lake access was an added bonus! Marki and Chris are the perfect hosts.

Matthew and Sarah welcomed us warmly into their beautiful country setting. The grounds were lovely to walk around, and our French bulldog had a great time checking out the fully fenced orchard and lawns. The accommodation was beautifully appointed with lots of little extras to make us feel really well looked after, from the continental breakfast supplies including homemade jams and bowls of fresh fruit and eggs to the sumptuous towels and gorgeous hand cream. Our hosts had even thought to have a first aid kit in the bathroom drawer, impressing me as to how much they had really thought about the comforts and needs of their clients. We definitely felt that we had our own private space but also knew that we could communicate with Matthew should we need anything.

I had a wonderful stay at Joanne’s who was friendly, helpful and made me instantly feel at home. We had great conversations. My room was lovely and I had a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was delicious especially due to all the homemade options. Would highly recommend to anyone. I look forward to my next visit.

Everything was seamless, comms, interaction etc. Tony was very friendly and welcoming. Both he and Suzi were great to chat with. Their home accomodation was very fresh, modern, well appointed and comfortable.

Barb and Mike are amazing hosts and we had a lovely and comfortable stay at Tongariro Adventures. The national park is only a short drive away. The waterfront is a few steps away and there are amazing trails around the area. Barb and Mike’s place exceeded our expectations and their hospitality made us feel very welcome. Also, top marks for the amazing breakfast!!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Tony's for a night! The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Tony was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay - even extending the breakfast till 11am. The location was convenient, with easy access from the main road and to the amenities. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the attention to detail in the service truly stood out. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this is a great choice for a relaxing and hassle-free stay. Would definitely visit again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I stayed here with a friend before completing the Tongariro Crossing and it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend to anyone; it was comfortable and clean and our every need was met. (Even making our sandwiches ready for the crossing the next day!). The breakfast was delicious and Mary was a friendly and helpful host. Can’t wait to stay again, thank you!
