Garry and Liz’s cabin was a delight to stay in! We were there for only a night but we were able to make use of the e-bikes that were already charged and the fully equipped kitchen (including a coffee machine!), and were fortunate to see the beautiful night sky. Thank you so much, Garry and Liz!

Our stay at Fiery Peak eco retreat was just what we needed. We were on a 21 day tour of South Island from the UK. Booked 1 night, primarily to break the driving between Arthur’s Pass and Mount Cook area. Ended up changing itinerary to stay 2 nights… but would have stayed forever!! Beautiful house with every amenity you could want and more. Ambient music, mood lighting and aromatic oil diffusers made for a lovely welcome. The hot tub was such a treat and would be even more amazing under a starry dark sky, but was still fabulous despite the cloud. My absolute favourite thing though was the fresh stream plunge pool… an invigorating yet peaceful, natural space. Everything was considered and provided, such as slippers, bathroom robes, outdoor crocs and towels for the hot tub and plunge pool. The patio sofa with views across the garden and towards the hills made for a relaxing reading spot. Kay checked we had everything we needed and was a very friendly and helpful host. Best stay!

This is a beautiful place to stay - we really enjoyed experiencing the night sky from the outdoor tub and relaxing on the window seat by the window during the day. We were aware it was in a camp site and didn't have any noise issues, but we were surprised that there were camper vans below us that took up a lot of the view / minimised privacy (e.g. when in the bath, through the window). So agree with other comments (that came after we booked) that this aspect was a little disappointing given photos and price, but we still had a great stay here.

Sean & Jana’s cottage is worth every penny! The photos don’t do it justice. This air bnb was absolutely beautiful and the outside bath tub at night is incredible we had clear nights to star gaze from the tub. I would highly recommend as it was the best place to stay if you’re wanting to visit mount cook and Lake Tekapo. We will be back :)

Robyn and Dan’s place was amazing! Though it is nearby to a road, they made sure to make the property so private and cozy that you feel like no one is around! We stayed at many places while traveling NZ, several of them had outdoor tubs but Robyn and Dan’s top them all! They also left my husband and I complimentary Prosecco to celebrate our honeymoon which was so sweet! The bed and pillows are VERY comfortable! Robyn was very responsive when we arrived. Highly recommend staying here!

David and Toni are super hosts. Extremely helpful making sure we didn't go without. Their above and beyond attitude made this our favourite stay so far in NZ. We would like to thank them both again for treating us so kindly and going above and beyond. the bathtubs outside are absolutely magnificent and romantic for a couple. David and Toni ensured that we had nice warm baths that were heated with timber fires ready for when we came home each night. 5 stars all the way !

Danielle's place was in a beautiful setting with a gorgeous cabin. We loved the wood-fired hot tub, and saying hi to the cows that visited the fence. Definitely read her clear instructions on how to get to the cabin and don't just plug the address into google maps. The bathroom was brand new and the shower spacious (lower water pressure to be expected on a rural property). We couldn't have been happier listening to the cows moo as we stargazed in the hot tub. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet getaway.

We had a great stay at this cozy two-story log house. The spacious layout made it very comfortable, and the large garden added to the relaxing atmosphere. The private setting made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

This is the second time we have stayed here. Loved it just as much as the first time. Great hosts and such a peaceful relaxing trip. Will be back again next year !

This was all in all a great stay away from everything. Everything was as described and only thing to note is that there are a lot of wildlife and they do make sounds - but everything is safe and nothing to worry about. Our family of 5 loved the stay and saw great sunrise and night sky.

Honestly one of the best Airbnb's we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot) with easily the most proactive and helpful host. The scenery is incredible, the house is incredible and has everything you need to enjoy some peace and quiet. Every window looks like a picture frame. If you're thinking about booking this place, just do it. You won't regret it (unless you hate beautiful, tranquil spaces in relatively remote locations). Dont forget to look at the stars if you're here on a clear night.
