Very good stay as this is my third time. Esther is amazing and really looked after us as usal. Also the garden Yusuf is a great guy.

This place is amazing! A little hour outside Kampala, you reach this beautiful lush and green farm, where you are surrounded by trees of jackfruit, papaya, mango and bananas. Jackee, Beas sister, who was welcoming us, is an amazing person, and so is the caretaker of the place, Alex. We didn’t meet Bea, but she was always available over the phone. We felt welcome from day one, and we are already considering how to return. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you:)

Our stay at Da Wilderness Home was nothing short of amazing! The beautiful home and gardens provided plenty of space for our large group, making it the perfect retreat. This was our first stay here, and we were absolutely blown away—not only by the incredible location (close to restaurants and supermarkets) but also by the exceptional hospitality from our host. They truly went above and beyond in every way! Our organization makes an annual trip to Uganda, and after this experience, we know exactly where we’ll be staying in the future. Highly recommend!

Moses and Laura were excellent hosts and they and their staff were all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We had the most memorable experience . Highly recommend to anyone who is doubting whether to book. The BBQ evening was a highlight , delicious food and fascinating dancing and singing from the Masai tribe. We loved every moment of it , as did our 3 year old and we were lucky enough to see lions, cheetah , a python, elephants and giraffes and Debra’s amongst others on our game drives , - Mike was an expert in tracking down the animals and sharing amazing stories. We also got engaged on the viewing platform in Moses garden !! Don’t miss out . The cabin has everything g you need and a beautiful garden to chill out in

This is a very special place and the whole idea and concept of social tourism appealed. My wife was able to volunteer at a local medical clinic and I volunteered at the local college which was absolutely inspiring. All of the staff at Oldarpoi were so friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant was great and we enjoyed cocktails around the fire pit every night. Oldarpoi does have a generator for when the electricity drops but it took a while to kick in at times making it difficult to keep things cool in the fridge (staff did offer to store perishable food in their fridge in the main kitchen if needed.) It would be beneficial to take a torch although paraffin lamps were available. We did a walking safari and game drive with local Maasai guide Moses which was absolutely breathtaking and we learned so much. Pool was huge (much larger than photos on website!) Cannot recommend highly enough! A wonderful experience escaping from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Antonia, die Köchin und Service-Frau hat uns warmherzig empfangen und wir sind voll in die afrikanische Lebenswelt eingetaucht. Das Abendessen war reichhaltig und lecker, ebenso wie das Frühstück. Uns wurde sogar zum Abend das Kaminfeuer angefacht. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, wir sind durch Dschungel und Teeplantagen spaziert und haben Colobus-Affen und exotische Vögel gesichtet. Empfehlenswert!

Far away from the hustle and bustle, just as we wanted. Fantastically located on the mountainside. Motorcycle guys bring everything you need. Stores are of course only accessible by car or motorcycle. Through the thin windows typical for the country, you are wonderfully awakened by the birds in the morning. Jack takes care for a mosquito free zone. I was not bitten once (car spray + Jack = no mosquitoes). Get mobiledata cards, because there is no TV / Internet here, or we forgot to ask for it ;-) A laundry service is available in addition for , I think it was 1-2€. Simply wonderful.
