The Oak House was the perfect place to stay for our weekend in West, TX. The old historic home is incredible and the nearby bakeries are a “must.”

My husband's family is from Waco so we visit often. This time we met friends from FL - a family of 5 -- for a spring break adventure. This home & property were perfect for our gathering. Between the game room, climbing wall and goat feedingd, the kids had no time to get bored. It's on the outskirts of town so you get a real Texas country experience and peaceful, quiet nights while still being close to all Waco attractions. Very comfortable beds & couches. Well-stocked kitchen. Nice bathrooms. We loved everything about it!

Beautiful home with stunning views! The place was clean and stocked. Plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved the movie room! We all enjoyed the patios, fire pits, speakers and the lake! We were able to take our boat to the nearby marina and rent a slip. Chris and Chelsea were very responsive and helpful! We’ll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful one of a kind place, the host put a lot of thought into making this pretty and fun! It was spacious, clean and great for 2 families. The instructions are clear, the place is very close to Magnolia market and all things Waco has to offer. We had a lot of fun celebrating MIL’s 75th birthday here. Things to note: there is no dishwasher in the kitchen and we had to hand wash dishes. And, the space in which daybed sits is a lot smaller than expected, so we had to re-arrange where everyone slept. These are not deterrents for us to stay here again but something to be mindful of. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a pinkalicious place for special celebrations.

We booked Cassie’s place last minute due to complications at another listing. She was very quick to get us booked and had us set up and ready to go within an hour or so. The house was wonderful and very peaceful. The house has plenty of amenities that met our needs and great views! I would definitely book this place again and I would recommend to anyone who wants peace and quiet while they are seeing what Waco, Texas has to offer.

One of the best Airbnb places we’ve stayed at (and we have stayed in quite a few over the last few years). Rochelle made sure we felt right at home. She was super responsive any time we had any questions and so extremely helpful. The home had all the amenities you could hope for and sweet extra touches that made it that much more special. It was a lovely location and everything was so peaceful. We would definitely stay there again and also recommend it to any friends and family traveling that way!

What an incredible place! Peaceful, gorgeous, clean, quiet, and everything we needed to enjoy a lovely weekend in Waco. The bed was super comfy, and we loved the shower products. Fishing in the fully stocked pond was so much fun; we caught and released five bass fish! I would definitely book this beautiful, rustic cabin again and again in a heartbeat! Compass Cottage is beautiful! Very comfortable and well cared for, fully stocked with everything a house needs. We loved it. For families with kids this is an especially great stay because the children’s book collection is stellar there are dinosaurs all over the house!
