We had a great weekend at Sean’s place. It was quiet and private.

I can't say enough great things about Micky and Vicky. They were awesome from start to finish. The day before our stay we found out that the original cabin that we booked had been accidentally double booked. We had originally booked a two bedroom cabin for my wife and I and another couple. Micky and Vicky called us and said that, due to the double booking, they were going to put us in two other cabins. One for my wife and I and one for the other couple. When we arrived and saw that those two cabins were too small for us we called Micky and Vicky. Understanding our problem the quickly offered to trade with us. Micky and Vicky would stay in the small cabin, and they allowed us and our friends to stay in their private 3 bedroom residence. That's right. They allowed us to stay in their own private residence while they loaded up their animals and personal belongings to move to the small cabin during our entire stay. How's that for customer service. They were absolutely the best hosts ever.

The cottage was great and looks exactly like the photos. Check in and check out were a breeze with a lock box. Natalie’s a great host. The place was clean, well equipped to feel like a home. Heating/AC worked well. Location is perfect - close to Main Street. I only stayed for a couple of nights, but I could have stayed for a month.

Book this property right now! You will not be disappointed! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was more than expected. The pictures do not do it justice! It has alot more space than what I thought it would and there is absolutely anything you could need for cooking including some spices and oils, and of course coffee. The hosts are close by on the property and communication was excellent and so friendly! The views are breathtaking even when it's cloudy and rainy. This was a perfect spot to get away and relax!

David and Athena have done an absolutely amazing job with this place. We came here for our first wedding anniversary, and it exceeded our expectations. David and Athena put thought into every detail, and it shows. Very comfortable, very clean, very peaceful location. David and Athena are also very warm, welcoming hosts. We will definitely be back. HIGHLY recommend!

My wife & I enjoyed finding some time outside of the city to reconnect with ourselves, each other, & nature. We explored the rocks, took in the views, & used the hot tub several times! I loved the detailed decorations & the fire pit outside. It was a peaceful & unique stay. Definitely recommend!

Such a great property, and our cabin was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Living and kitchen area is spacious and open, very nice bathroom (awesome water pressure on the showerhead), and the bed was comfortable. Despite the outside temps having reached freezing during our stay, the bedroom kept nice and warm, the main area didn’t keep as warm though. The hot tub, perfect…and the view of the stars, amazing. We hadn’t seen this many stars at other parts of Texas that we have stayed at, and this was such a treat. We didn’t cook at the cabin, but the kitchen is spacious and comfortable for cooking for anyone who plans to. Overall, we couldn’t have picked a better property for the type of relaxing and outdoorsy getaway than Basecamp. We plan on coming back and checking out the other cabins and/or tents! Thank you all for sharing these gems! The property has an awesome lake for kayaking, a walking trail and other walking areas.

Home Away Ranch is not just a place to stay, but a place to rest fully, to meet amazing animals, and to enjoy a beautifully appointed cabin in the most beautiful place on Earth. Vicky and Micky have created a sanctuary for animals here, but it is also a sanctuary for human beings, a place of profound healing and beauty. I've never seen a more beautiful place. They offer gourmet meals, horseback riding lessons, gun range lessons, and expertly selected wines and mixed drinks. The goats are so fun to watch, with babies climbing trees! But truly what makes this place special is Vicky and Micky, living angels whose loving faith lives in their works and not just in their words. If you need a deeper rest that a simple "place to stay" can offer, Home Away Ranch is where you want to be!

Our cabin was perfect! So cute and had everything we needed. The rate is one of the best in the area, I'm looking forward to my next stay! Thank yoy Stacey for my hone away from home!

Rhonda's listing is spot on! Great place to if you're looking for a place that offers quiet outdoors and beautiful scenery. Lots of wildlife and trees to make the stay even more enjoyable. The guest house is very comfortable and would definitely recommend it. Already looking forward to our next stay there.

This place exceeded our expectations! The peace and quiet that we experienced was unmatched!! My family of four and our dog, enjoyed every moment and every part of the property. My kids were never inside!! Great place to decompress from daily life activities. Also, no phone or Internet service was tranquility for my wife and I. We'll definitely be coming back!!! We LOVED it so much that nobody wanted to leave!!! One of my favorite places that my family has been too. Don't forget to say hi to Frank!!

Sweet cabin, so quiet. Woke up to deer sleeping nearby. I will certainly stay here again if our travels take us back that way!

Un lugar increíble, brindaba una paz y armonia estar ahí. Dan ganas de quedarse mas tiempo por la tranquilidad del lugar . La vista en las tardes era increíblemente hermosa. Pudimos ver algunos Deer que andaban por ahí también. Nos encanto el lugar. Super recomendado.

8:42 PM We reserved the cabin & checked in within 20 min of each other & they made it so easy & were more than accommodating. They even had kayaks we could use free of charge.

Excellent location near downtown Kerrville, with convenient access to the water and walking trail. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, making for a delightful stay.

Nice place, the river area was nice and private

This was such a cozy stay and the cabin was even roomier than I imagined. My husband and I stayed with our 6 month old, our first getaway with baby, and the cabin layout worked really well for us. The queen bed was cozy and the riverfront property is very peaceful. We enjoyed spending time on the lawn during our stay. We will definitely be back!

A great getaway near the river! We appreciated all the extras that were included i.e. kayaks, floats, life vests, towels that we needed to enjoy the water. Everything was nicely labeled to help find items within the home. Plenty of items to cook meals. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about how much fun staying at Amazing Grace Canyon at Rock of Ages Cabin was! It was the IDEAL get away and spot to truly disconnect and just enjoy the incredible views of hill country. It's in Alamo Springs, about 30-40 minutes from Fredricksburg and about an hour from Enchanted Rock. It was worth the drive because the views to and from were magical. The cabin itself was well stocked with just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had plenty of snacks for us, as well as a bottle of wine! Fully stocked with pots and pans and cutlery, etc. There was also a Keurig and their coffee selection was 10/10. Besides the kitchen, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the sheets/quilts/pillows were very comfortable. There is a room with a full bed, a 2nd room with a full/twin bunk, and an upstairs loft with 2 twin beds on the floor (tight space). There are AC units in the main living and each bedroom, and a portable AC upstairs in the loft. LOVED IT!!

We were very pleased with our stay. The pictures don’t do this listing justice. The house is beautifully decorated and conveniently designed- with both bedrooms being very spacious and spacious bathrooms. We got to see deer in the evening and felt so cozy and comfortable! It was so impeccably clean that we felt like we were the first ones to ever stay there. We absolutely loved it and will have to come back again.

Sharon’s and Rick’s place is exactly as described and shown in the photos in a beautiful location at Fredericksburg. Communication was great with Sharon throughout the stay and even leading up to it. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Linda was an amazing host. She answered all our questions immediately and was always accommodating if we needed anything. The home was an incredible place to stay. Where else can you walk out onto the porch with your morning coffee, and watch Texas Longhorns? We saw foxes, deer, and lot of birds. If you love nature, and being someplace peaceful, you need to do yourself a favor, and book this place! Oh, and in case you are wondering, the internet is great. I work remotely and had no issues with working, or streaming entertainment. I spent most my time outside during my workday, looking at all the wildlife, while my colleagues were surrounded by 4 walls, and very jealous :)

This cabin was the perfect weekend getaway! There were so many sweet and personal touches from the host! We would love to return for another trip in the future!
