The best bang for your buck anywhere in the Killeen/Central Texas area! Home is about 10-12 min away from Killeen/Fort Hood. Tons of stores and restaurants less than 3 minutes away. Very quiet neighborhood, walkable. The house is clean, comfortable, and has all the necessary amenities. We appreciated the washer and dryer and coffee set up. Plenty of stuff to cook with, AC/heat/wifi worked great. She was very responsive and friendly. We had no issues during our stay. Thanks for having us!

Place was way more spacious in person. Very close and walkable to the cafe and restaurant. The feel of the place was so comfortable it made the stay amazing. Had the perfect small town country feel. Would recommend to everyone and will use this place again. Very unique and has some old town history.

Bobby was very responsive to my questions. His place was clean, comfortable and we felt at home. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be booking here on our yearly trip out to that area. Great stay!

If you are going to Colorado Bend State Park, then this is a great place to stay! (Otherwise there is absolutely nothing out here!) The state park is great, and that was our destination for great hiking, and this Airbnb was extremely comfortable with tons of comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and kitchen. Host gave great communication. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD- or plan to drive 15-20 minutes. There are three "restaurants" in Lometa near this place, but after entering one that felt like a prison with no windows and had a stagnant smell, we left and drove to Lampasas and found Alfredo's on the river. The day we left, we went through San Saba which had really nice city parks to walk in- highly recommend! And hit the Pecan stores! One was even open on Sunday!

it was wonderful going back to the home my husband and I built. They have maintained the integrity of the home. They offered so many activities for guests. The beds were comfortable. My family enjoyed the pool again. The home was seasonally decorated. Very good directions for finding the house, using the laundry appliances, and using facilities. it was a fun celebration of my birthday with my family. Had enough beds for everyone. it was nice that it was pet friendly. my family wants to come back next year! Thank you Jamie.

Loved this place! Kinda in the middle of nowhere which is what we wanted but also 15 mins from everything! Peaceful mornings waking up to birds and the geese. Just what we wanted a relaxing romantic getaway weekend. Definitely will be coming back !!

We loved our stay! Vicki was very responsive to my questions and have clear and complete directions for everything. The apartment was super clean, was decorated so nicely, and had everything we needed and more! I would definitely love to stay again and recommend the Highway Hideaway to anyone visiting the area!

I adored my stay, and would definitely recommend. It’s a very peaceful cabin, with a sense of home in the walls. I needed an escape from the city, & this was perfect! I loved that the cabin was pet friendly, with a perfect area for my lab. & The mattress!!! -the best sleep i have gotten in a while. I’d definitely stay again!

Beautiful setting, very comfortable. Dee is very thoughtful leaving hot coco and snacks which was great having arrived late on a suddenly very cold and windy day.

We stayed here over spring break as it was a good in between for Inks Lake State Park and Colorado Bend State Park. We had a fantastic time at the parks and the house was perfect for my family. Will definitely stay here again when we visit the parks again.
