What a wonderful stay we had. Beautiful little home with lots of character and stunning surroundings. Martyn was very responsive and helpful, left us a lovely bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. Hot tub was fab and relaxing. Just what we needed for the weekend. Would highly recommend

We stayed for 2 nights and the weather was horrendous BUT the cottage more than made up for this. We had everything we needed for some peace and quiet and a well needed rest. Cosy, welcoming and SPOTLESSLY clean! The cottage is on the main road but we never heard any traffic and the river running alongside was a lovely backdrop. Log fire, Netflix, a hot tub great WiFi and plenty of space for us all (including our dog). There is also a sauna which we didn’t use. The cottage is well equipped for cooking and was never cold at all! Plenty of steaming hot water and lovely big bath was a highlight too. We didn’t need to contact Jane for much as her instructions were so easy to understand. The couple of messages we did send however were responded to immediately. We will definitely be back and hopefully have better weather so we can explore the local area more. Thanks so much Jane and see you again soon! x

We had a wonderful weekend at The Key to the Esk. The cottage more than lived up to expectations and well worth the money. Our dog loved the large garden and the hot tub was superb! The cottage was so cosy and the bathroom was amazing. There is a gate that leads directly to the river Esk which was a lovely walk. Thanks again for a lovely stay and would 100% return.

Just came back from a fabulous two night stay at the old dairy. Ainslie made sure the heating and lights were on for us arriving back at the property on our first night whilst we attended a wedding which was made us feel so very welcome. There was some breakfast bits for the following day in the fridge, plenty of towels, coffee pods, hot chocolate sachets etc kitchen was well equipped. Log burner was a lovely extra as well! absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I even forgot a phone charger & ainslie was straight round to let me borrow one! 10/10 host so friendly and accommodating and would recommend this place to anyone! A very kind woman runs this place & anyone booking will not be disappointed - highly recommend!!! A very cute & quirky stay! Thanks you again for such a lovely stay.

What an amazing little place! Dawn is extremely informative about the local area, gave us very handy tips about Scotland! She is very friendly and a great host. The cottage itself was extremely cosy, thank you for your hospitality, I will absolutely be back in the future ✨

Lovely cottage right next to the Pentland. We loved the cottage and the scenery around it. Kylie was lovely and easy to contact. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be close to Edinburgh but in nature.

Super logement , cocooning comme nous le souhaitions! Accès à Édimbourg relativement rapide. Attention aux instructions d’entrée, car le tri sélectif en Écosse n’est pas le même que le nôtre en France .. beaucoup plus poussé ce qui est un bon point pour l’environnement . J’ai fais par réflexe comme en France ce qui m’a value à juste titre un message D’Ali . Si je devais repartir en Écosse sans hésitation je reprendrais le même logement .. le SPA avec vue c’est un bonheur!

Excellent stay at Helen’s cottage, so peaceful and very homely. Games room and hot tub are excellent. Would definitely stay again 🙂

Had a great time, Laura and family were very helpful with a minor hiccup one evening. Great venue family loved it. Good location for day trips including Loch Lomond and Royal Yacht.

Our third stay in this lovely cosy cottage. The fire, heating, furnishings and festive touches all added to the experience. There was a tray of goodies, fluffy white towels, a large comfortable bed and everything we needed for our stay. Right by the beach, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and an easy walk to the local pub and supermarket.

Amazing place to stay and fantastic host! We could not have asked for better, lovely cottage in a stunning location. Added bonus was the overnight snow, which the dogs loved! Would recommend the local hotel/pub, extremely friendly and the food was amazing. We cannot wait to return!

Lovely little cottage, perfect for our needs and excellent value for money. Hilary was a wonderful host, proactive in communicating anything we might know and leaving us a small welcome treat.

Great host, well organised, great central heating esp. as was very cold. Internet connectivity could be better, but helped the family connect better instead by playing card games!

We had a lovely two night stay at Arlene’s cottage exploring the local area. We couldn’t have asked more of Arlene,b she is so lovely. We had to change our booking bates due to illness and Arlene accommodated us a month later very willingly. She was available to us almost from the moment we arrived, is. Dry friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The cottage is just as described, well equipped and beautifully clean. We hope to be back in the autumn for a few more days Thank you x.

We had such a lovely time in Moffat and having the cottage to come back to after a day of walking and sightseeing is like a home away from home. It is so peaceful and you have absolutely everything you need inside. Jan and Martin are both lovely and made us feel very welcome. We come to Moffat at least once a year and we would not hesitate staying hear again and again

I recently stayed at this charming cottage, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The place was impeccably clean. The farm shop was lovely and we received a great welcome. The hot tub was fabulous—it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The surrounding countryside views added to the serenity and charm of the cottage. Overall, a wonderful getaway that I would highly recommend!

We were visiting family so the location was perfect. Being right on the high street close to all amenities that we needed. Host was quick to respond and kept us up to date with check in and out. Thank you we would definitely stay again

This cottage was exactly what I was hoping for. They thought of all the most important touches to make it cosy and like a home away from home. Hosts were responsive and even thought of small touches that made us feel so welcome. The views in the area were stunning and all the recommendations for food and things to do were on point. My time in the UK is over soon but I might have to make one more trip before I leave. It was just that restorative!

An ideal spot for getting to Edinburgh/Glasgow especially via the trains with free parking at the station.The site was warm, well furnished and Duncan the host went to great lengths to assist.The 'welcome basket' of bread,milk,cereal,butter etc was a nice touch.

Booked this last minute for my friends birthday and we are so glad we did!. Place was spotless and the host is so friendly she made us feel at home☺️ will definitely be back this is my second time here . Love it

1st time staying at Islay Cottage, the cottage is very quaint set in beautiful surroundings with a waterfall not 1 minute down the road. The cottage was immaculate and well presented, our favourite bit was the log burner. We shall definitely be back again in the next couple of months. Thank you Fiona for sharing this little piece of paradise with us.

Lovely little cottage, ideal location for attending wedding at Lochside Hotel, 5minute drive/30mins walk (local taxi fare was set fee of £20 one way unfortunately). Our stay was very short (purely for attending a wedding), but, had we have been staying longer, Hugh gave us plenty of suggestions of places to visit. Helpful information in visitors book too. Lovely host, very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed, reminded us to contact them, should we experience any problems.

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It was spacious, very cozy, and exceptionally clean. The house was fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There were plenty of clean towels, a variety of cookware for preparing meals, and even a selection of spices. A special thank you to the hosts for the lovely gift basket, it was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly welcomed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back!
