I cannot recommend this place enough. Perfect location on the canal with a lovely pub right opposite. Amy has thought of everything and the welcome hamper was greatly appreciated. The hot tub was amazing and the weather was so nice we even had a bbq. Best Airbnb I have stayed in and I’ve stayed in alot

I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

What can we say apart from we were gutted to leave David was very responsive and the property was beautiful , well equipped and with panoramic beauty The pool and hot tub were fabulous and both parts of the accommodation wonderful . We came as a family holiday with our lovely dog Beautiful scenery , stunning walks straight from the farm to the surrounding villages including the pub the Queens arms for Sunday lunch which had food to die for especially the pies ! Before our stay David was responsive and also gave us helpful info and fabulous instructions to the property . We used the BBQ as blessed with wonderful weather this weekend . David’s neighbours were also lovely and welcoming . It was the most wonderful of stays in the most beautiful part of the Dales . As others have said you literally do not want to leave the property as it’s fabulous , homely , well equipped and well thought out .The walk behind the cottage to the top of the hills gave beautiful panoramic views.

A fantastic property with a high quality and luxurious finish. Peaceful, with the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, despite being extremely close to shops and bars. Stayed with my three kids. Enjoyed the hot-tub and garden. The place was spotlessly clean and all of the appliances worked perfectly. A great sleep in very comfy beds, next to the sound of nature. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Fabulous break in a clean, well-equiped property. Host was very responsive and helped us quickly with any queries. Quiet and picturesque location, with a fabulous sunset view. Hour walk from the beach. Pool table, hot tub and darts were a great addition and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

we had a fantastic stay here. the cottage is beautiful, the garden with pod is perfect to enjoy the local scenery. it was the best sleep I've had in months, so quiet! John was always on hand if neded and very friendly & helpful. we felt very welcome. the cottage has everything you need and more!! I especially loved the history of the house and the way if was decorated/accessorised. my daughter absolutely loved it!! she is 10 and was very sad to leave. I'm certain we will return! the pub up the road was amazing...a lovely walk for tea! food was delicious and very good value. I would highly recommend this cottage and can't wait to come back. thank you John for being a wonderful host and letting us share in the history of this magnificent building.

Extremely comfortable cottage in a lovely, pretty location. Very well equipped kitchen, great shower and very comfortable bed. Very clean and own parking spot was a bonus. Great comms from Brittany and excellent local recommendations. Looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommend.

A spotlessly clean cottage with a secure private garden and just around the corner from a couple of pubs and an Indian restaurant but still a very private location in this lovely village. Nothing to complain about and we felt very good value for money. We stayed for four nights and are very happy to recommend the cottage.

We have just got home from a lovely couple of days at Deb & Tim’s cosy hideaway. What a lovely place - the space so well thought out and everything was provided that we needed for a gorgeous weekend in a great part of the world. Our hosts made every effort to make us feel welcome whilst giving us our space and the little extra touches were appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. ☺️ The cottage is decorated really tastefully, beautifully clean and it’s not often we find somewhere that allows children and dogs that’s so well equipped! Also a lovely little basket of goodies was there to welcome us 🫶🏻 We had everything we needed & with typical English weather of freezing cold one day we enjoyed using the log burner to keep warm & cozy while watching a movie with the kids on our Netflix account then the next day in lovely sunshine we enjoyed eating outside listening to the stream trickling and the birds singing and reading a book. 📖 A great place to stay in all weather with children, dogs and any ages. Communication before & after booking was fantastic. Would highly recommend! 🌟

This place is really cosy. A lovely log burner warm and tidy. Really nice fittings and fixtures clearly done with thought. Really decent hot water and heating. Beds were very comfy. Kitchen really well equipped. The local shop is basic but cheery and good opening hours. Used it for tea, coffee, milk, bread etc and they do cash back. The local chippy/Chinese take away was excellent. We couldn’t get into the pub to eat at late notice sadly so may need to hook well in advance if that’s your plan. We based ourselves here to do the costal rail route and it was super convenient for the railway. The parking was as advertised. The cottage itself is on the road through flookburgh, so there was a bit of traffic noise at the front bedroom, but really not that much as it’s not a big busy road by any means. There were bowls for the dog to make him feel welcome too.

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful peaceful location. It had everything we needed for our mini break. Max was very quick to respond to any queries we had .We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the cottage.. dog friendly too and lots of great walks in the area to explore .

Absolutely loved our anniversary stay at Crumble Cottage. Was everything we needed for relaxation and more On check in, Stewart was on hand and gave us an overview of the place, surroundings and suggested great places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is approx 15min walk into the centre of Cartmel - with great places to eat and drink there We visited the Wolf Predator experience by Grange-over-Sands - it was amazing!! Really enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the tranquility- Will definitely be back again! Thanks for having us (Heidi & Craig) ☺️

Ahh what a gorgeous bolthole to relax, focus, or use as a base for the great outdoors! We came up North to visit family and I ended up travelling ahead of my husband and little ones so that I could focus on a university assignment. I was therefore able to experience Robin Cottage as both a quiet refuge and as a spacious, family-friendly, home-from-home. Jennifer and Caesar went above and beyond, responding quickly to messages and requests. I ended up staying an extra night and needed to check out later which Jennifer was able to accommodate, which enabled me to finish off my work. There are some beautiful walks in the area which provided a welcome respite from being stuck in front of a screen! We have stayed in lots of holiday cottages but this might just be the best one. It has everything you could possibly need! And it is the first time I have been a little sad to get back to my own (very comfy) bed. The beds there were another level. We would love to return for a longer stay.

A fab stay at Kim's place. It was very easy to check in and a great location for plenty of walks and pubs. Kimberley was very responsive when we needed help with places to eat and operation of the log burner. Would definitely stay here again should I be around the Forest of Bowland. The views out to the fields littered with sheep and scenery were stunning in the mornings.

Emma was a thoughtful and kind host who responded very quickly to a query. The cottage was lovely and warm with comfortable beds, a good hot shower and an oven that worked well and was easy to operate. We really enjoyed our stay in Great Eccleston and hope to return.

Just had an amazing few days here. Incredible cottage, spotlessly clean and so comfortable with everything we needed and more. Lynne is an excellent host who thinks of everything and does all she can to ensure you feel welcomed and at home. This was the perfect place for us to gather as a family to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday. It was so relaxing and peaceful and we were lucky enough to have good weather so we could sit and enjoy the beautiful garden. Can’t recommend this place enough and we would absolutely love to return for another visit. 5 star experience from booking through to the end of our stay. Just loved it!

Bank House Cottage is an exceptional cottage to stay at. Hosts Veronica and Alan were wonderful, giving local recommendations and ensuring that everything was perfect for our stay. The cottage itself is beautiful and has an interesting history. It was sparkling clean and had all the amenities you could ask for. We also availed of the Hot Tub which was luxurious and very relaxing. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at the cottage and hope to return in the future.
