Accommodation was spacious and homely with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The host responded quickly to messages and was very amenable. Loved the artwork and the sound system. Would recommend.

I had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Carl was super responsive and made check-in a breeze. The little touches like fresh towels were really appreciated. The convenience store is just 3 mins away, Stanley park is 10 minutes walk, train station & city center is less than 15 minutes away with uber that cost approximately 5-8£ per booking. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Sandown House made our summer visit to the Lake District enjoyable. Space for our immediate family and extended family and friends. We nicknamed it the upside down house because the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the kitchen and living rooms on the top floor. Plenty of parking, walking distance to all that Bowness-on-Windermere has to offer. We think the on suite bathrooms are tiny, but we are tall people (6’and 6’4”) other than that plenty of space to stretch out. Lovely welcome hamper upon our arrival added a nice touch from the owners.

We loved our stay - this is an excellent dog friendly option for those having a short break in The Lakes . The dog treats/blanket and flapjack/chocolate we received on arrival were a lovely touch. The car parking space reserved for the accommodation was a great addition as well. The location is great - between Windermere and Bowness towns - which are walkable or a few minutes in the car. Steve and Vicky were easy to communicate with and ensured all went well during the stay. We would definitely stay again.

Absolute gem of a house. Mark couldn’t have been a better host. House was spotless and extremely well appointed. Ansdell is a perfect spot as it’s easily accessible to Lytham and close to Fairhaven. My family lives in Lytham and when there is a big get together we sometimes need to find extra accommodation. This has been the best one we have found so far. Thank you Mark.

The house was beautiful and big enough that we all had our own space when needed. The perfect base for us all to meet up and have a great weekend.

We had a lovely stay at Francesca's home to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. 6 adults and 3 children were easily accommodated, and the space allowed us to have a fun catch-up. Fran's printed information sheets were great, and allowed us to make the most of our time there. Friendly, responsive host. We hope to be back!

Beautiful place with beautiful surroundings. Lodge was clean and ready for when we arrived, delicious restaurant on site too. Went as a couple for a celebration- would definitely recommend

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Lisa's caravan was absolutely lovely. We had an amazing time, so relaxing. The caravan is well equipped with all you need. I just wish we could of stayed longer. We will be back

What can we say apart from we were gutted to leave David was very responsive and the property was beautiful , well equipped and with panoramic beauty The pool and hot tub were fabulous and both parts of the accommodation wonderful . We came as a family holiday with our lovely dog Beautiful scenery , stunning walks straight from the farm to the surrounding villages including the pub the Queens arms for Sunday lunch which had food to die for especially the pies ! Before our stay David was responsive and also gave us helpful info and fabulous instructions to the property . We used the BBQ as blessed with wonderful weather this weekend . David’s neighbours were also lovely and welcoming . It was the most wonderful of stays in the most beautiful part of the Dales . As others have said you literally do not want to leave the property as it’s fabulous , homely , well equipped and well thought out .The walk behind the cottage to the top of the hills gave beautiful panoramic views.

Great little flat, with lots of charecter. Easy to find and park. Loved the shop idea, we were eating buffet at a party later that night so did not want a big tea, we thought lets get settled at the flat then nip for food, well we did not have to as Alison had supplied us with lots of freebies plus a well stocked freezer and cupboard with food to buy, a little shop in the flat, amazing idea. Will Definitely stay again

Another last minute booking whilst on the road. Sue responded immediately and all of her directions were crystal clear. Sue even left a few things in the fridge to help me out which was appreciated. Great place, private parking with virtually an onsite security guard! If I’m ever in the area again will be sure to book!

Kate made us feel very welcome and introduced us to her horses and alpacas when we arrived. We had full use of the outside amenities as well the hot tub. The cabin was delightful. The only slight downside was the lack of shower cubicle which I personally prefer over free-standing bath with shower.

I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

We had a lovely one night stay. Room was very comfortable and a beautiful garden to sit in and for dogs to play in. Instructions to get in extremely clear and great communication with host. Lovely village and plenty of places to eat or have a drink. If in the future we are back over here would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home😀 🏡

What a beautiful cabin. Loved the layout and the decor. Very comfortable king size bed. Really nice to have the sink in a separate cubby to the main kitchen. Very nice stone floor in the shower and really quirky hot tub area. Hot tubs are a must for us when going away and this is one of the only listings with a tub in this area! Gorgeous magnolia tree and plants in the private outdoor area too. Yardi and Phil were so lovely and we felt very looked after and the location was just what we needed. Short taxi drive from central Blackpool. Felt luxurious and thank you for the extra refreshments and birthday sign!

Only stayed for one night visiting a friend near by , Lovely location and building , the spiral staircase was a slight worry after a few 🥂🥂🤪 Was great for taking my dog too outside area was gated so safe to let him have a wonder round off lead whilst we were sitting outside ! David and Patricia were lovely and nothing was too much trouble , answered straight away to any queries , and we even enjoyed a drink with them in the bar ! Happy days 😁
