One of the best stays we have had. Attention to detail and homeliness is unmatched. Quiet, peaceful and serene. Beautiful sunsets and surrounds. Hosts are quick to respond and helpful. Had the best time relaxing in the hot pool, cooking in the well kitted kitchen and enjoying the Braai outside. Would highly recommend for a romantic trip or anniversary celebration.

It was really an awesome stay for me and my wife. We could really switch off and just enjoy the location. 100% would go again!

The experience of the jacuzzi and sleeping under stars was absolutely unique! We enjoyed it very much! The only remark would be, is that we think it was slightly overpriced given our similar experience with other stays (around this period). Also, keep in mind for the summer that since the airco only starts at 09:30 am, it gets uncomfortably warm in the morning due to the greenhouse effect of the glass.

A lovely cabin for a weekend away. There is strong cell signal, and the road in is rocky but manageable if you drive with caution. Views are great and cabin is very clean, and functional. Everything you need is there.

Es war ein sehr idyllischer und stylischer Ort um zu entspannen. Alles mit Liebe eingerichtet und großartig organisiert. Der Pizzaofen war toll 🥰

Tolle Unterkunft in einer sehr schönen Anlage und Umgebung. Obwohl wir leider überlesen haben, dass keine Handtücher vorhanden sind, konnte uns Kathryn trotzdem schnell und unkompliziert weiter helfen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

My stay at River Song was a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely out of this world – right on the banks of the Bruintjies River. The birdsong at dusk and dawn, and throughout the day is marvelous, including owls hooting in the evening, and the fish eagles' calls during the day. Although the cabin can get quite hot, one can open the windows on all sides to allow a flow of air throughout, and to feast your eyes on the lovely views. Kayaking on the river was another highlight that was awesome! The river is quite serene and the scenery exquisite, especially in the morning. The water is lovely for a swim as well. Although I was on my own and working all the while (strong wifi), the cabin would be ideal for a family getaway. A deck built between some of the tall Eucalyptus trees right on/over the river, has a table, seating and even a shower for lovely days spent outside. I'll definitely book again!

Amazing little retreat, we were unaware of the nature reserve on the farm and were told it’s a must do upon arriving. We went in; 4x4’ed, swam in the dam, and saw a lot of wild life - Zebra, Antelope, giraffe and springbok. Best of all the dog loved it

Beautiful scenery, perfect for getaway. Breathtaking views, place was clean and very clear instructions on how to get there and how to use amenities (eg. hot tub & braai)

We had a lovely farm stay! Candice and Lea were very welcoming and friendly. Awesome little cottage with everything you need. Even heard the lions from the neighbouring farm roar during the nights. Thank You!

The perfect spot for a weekend away, exceeded our expectations. Great communication, the views of the mountains and wildlife were an unexpected bonus and the photos did not do justice to just how beautiful the accommodation was!

A beautiful, off the beaten track stay and very flexible check in and out which made for a relaxing stay.

Marcia's place is a must stay if in the area. Absolutely stunning views of the dam and mountains. The cottage lacked nothing and the terrace sitting area was so peaceful. Would highly recommend it!

The White House was a perfect weekend getaway from the city and exactly the technology and cell phone detox needed! Totally accessible by normal car as clearly stated by the host - the property is beautiful to walk around and well marked. The house itself had everything needed to cook, clean, braai, relax and everything in between. The hot tub was amazing to sit and relax in and watch the stars go by at night! Reminder to bring bug spray though! Was amazing to wake up in the morning with the blinds up and see the landscape. Will definitely be back!

I highly recommend this, “out of the way”, log cabin. It is great value. Geko is a modern day Mc Guiver and he has made this place a great place to stay if you want to get away and have some peace and quiet. The place is functional and spacious and the balcony is terrific for sitting and reading and provides a great vantage point to watch the spectacular sunsets over the valley. Geko is a very friendly and helpful host. The place was excellent value and I highly recommend this place in every way.

A unique cottage in a wonderful wild space, one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed.

Amazing location, cosy little cottage, a lot to do and see and amazing horse rides. Stephanie is a great host - helpful, quick to respond and very kind. If you are looking for a great off-the-grid getaway to recharge, I highly recommend it.

What an incredible stay. The view was genuinely breathtaking, the cabin was cozy and the silence of the wilderness was so refreshing. As two young women traveling, we felt perfectly safe at all times. Worth every cent, I would highly recommend this getaway :)

We had an incredible stay at Stonewood Cabin! The surroundings are truly beautiful and it is the perfect place to chill out. We stopped for a swim at Tweede Tol on the way which is well worth a visit. We would definitely stay here again, but there are a couple of things to bear in mind if you’re thinking of staying here: 1. The cabin is in a very remote area surrounded by wildlife which is beautiful. But, the baboons were pretty hectic. They damaged two of our cars and repeatedly tried to get into the cabin. We ended up having to keep all of the windows and doors closed at all times which was not ideal on a 35 degree day. 2. Other reviews mentioned the wind but it really is very loud. It’s a good idea to bring ear plugs to help with the noise at night. 3. The drive up is steep and a bit tricky but definitely manageable even with a small car. Overall, a great place to stay but do be prepared to be at one with nature!
