A Truly Magical Escape – Frog Mountain Stole Our Hearts Wow, some places truly touch your soul, and Frog Mountain is one of them. You can feel the love, care, and passion that Gabriela has poured into creating this magical retreat. Our stay was nothing short of incredible. From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful

Eine wundervolle Unterkunft! So ein schönes, weitläufiges Gebiet. Wir konnten die Giraffen, Antilopen, Strausse und alle weiteren Tiere aus ganz nah sehen. Gelegentlich kommen sie an der Veranda vorbeigelaufen. Es ist wirklich ein wunderschöner Ort, an den wir gerne wieder kommen werden! Auch unsere Kinder (1&3) haben sich so wohl gefühlt, da sie einfach viel viel Freiraum in der Natur haben und es nie langweilig ist. Der Hot Pot ist natürlich am Abend wirklich so super, die Ruhe, klarer Sternenhimmel. Wir können wirklich jedem empfehlen hier zu übernachten! Das Cottage ist hervorragend ausgestattet, sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben es so sehr genossen und schreiben gerne: bis zum nächsten Mal!

Very caring owners and a beautiful hideaway on a gorgeous farm. Enjoyed our stay.

What a beautiful place.. My gf and I spent the weekend in the lavender cottage and loved every moment.. The cottage is amazing, the views are fantastic and the hot tub was divine!!! Cindy was an amazing host and communication with her was fantastic.. Highly recommended - We will be back :)

Charming farm cottage, nestled among vineyards and majestic mountains. Tastefully decorated with an open shower under the stars. We were warmly welcomed with a thoughtful basket of fresh peaches and beautiful flowers in each room. Marie was a wonderful host.

We enyoyed our stay at the Mountview House. You have the most wonderful view and it is very peaceful there! Very friendly communication with Petrus, Joy and Paul.

We had a lovely stay. Sankie responded quickly, and the appartment was clean and organized. We loved the hottub and the beautiful view over the wineyards. Willem, the gardener, was very friendly as well and gave us additional advice for visiting Montagu and told us which animals frequented the area. We would definately recommend a visit.

We loved this place. Beautiful views, lovely rooms and kitchen, great braai The only problem was finding the location - the point on the map in Airbnb is not correct, so please change it, so it was easier to find you

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this accomodation. My two year old looooved the tractors and cows. Outdoor hot tub was delightful and the surprise of fresh bread, butter and milk on arrival was delicious. The only downside was not staying for longer.

This was one of the best places I have been too. So serene and beautiful. I even got rusks from Toinette on the kitchen table. I felt completely at home with Toinette's as a wonderful hostess. I will hopefully be back next year. Thank you so much Toinette!!

Very friendly homestay with amazing views. Peaceful and quiet with a lovely big yard. It is surrounded by a picturesque countryside with beautiful views across the valley.Location was beautiful and there was lots to do nearby. We were able to contact Amelia and Jacques easily and they were very helpful; from restaurant & activity recommendations to use of the cottage amenities. We had plenty of room for two adults; two kids & two infants. Just what we need to get away from the hustle & bustle of city life.A very beautiful & spacious cabin; we will certainly be going back as there is so much more activities and wine farms we left without visiting.

The cottage is very well situated in the centre of Swellendam and on a very nice property with a beautiful garden. Very cosy inside. It has all you need. David was very accommodating with the check-in. A bonus : you get to visit their very own pottery and shop.

This accommodation was the perfect start to our South African vacation. We were given a very friendly welcome. Nicola and her team were really super helpful and extremely service-oriented. The breakfast and lunch in the restaurant were delicious and the wine is highly recommended. The accommodation itself has a great charm and the terrace overlooking the vines is beautiful.

This is the second time that I’ve stayed at the beautiful spot and still can’t get enough of it. If you’re wanting a breakaway this is it! Truly spectacular

The Pines is a wonderful venue for a breakaway with a group of friends or family. The old farm-style homestead is in impeccable condition, with the trappings you expect from a much more modern house. Everything was spotless, from the bedroom linens and towels, to the well equipped kitchen, and the outside area. The weather was fantastic, so most time was spent in and around the pool, on the tennis court, and in the cool quiet of the house. Do: 1. spend an early morning with fresh coffee on the stoep, waiting for the sun to start painting the glorious mountains right in front of you; 2. make communal meals and eat under the ancient trees in the afternoon and at the huge dining room table in the evenings, where our stories mingled with those that had come before us; 3. bring your - well behaved - furry friends, they will get as much from the large expanse of lawn and, since the property is fully fenced, the can explore as much as they want to; and 4. braai next to the pool. Enjoy!

Der Aufenthalt bei Alida und Ihrem Mann war einer der schönsten den wir auf unserer Garden Route hatten. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und es hat uns an nichts gefällt. Leider waren wir nur 2 Nächte da. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung.

We absolutely loved our stay. The beautiful house, pool, boma and garden gave us so much to do, a 2 night stay felt like a proper holiday. What a serene getaway. Christine was accommodating and we felt so spoiled with the fresh bread and gifted wines.

What an absolutely amazing place, so peaceful and really beautiful surroundings, close to activities in Swellendam but away from the crowds. The perfect getaway with family. Lena was an absolute star.

The house is very comfortable and perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The garden is secure with lovely lawns for the kids to play. Carin is very friendly and showed us around the farm. The setting is wonderfully peaceful and private. The kids loved all the animals!
