we loved it. here you really get down to gear, we enjoyed the view and the surroundings. fantastic nature wherever you look. the hosts were super friendly and helpful. we stayed two nights but would definitely recommend more nights so that you can really get all the impressions.

We were 2 couples who stayed at this property for 2 nights. I wish it could have been longer. It was absolutely wonderful. The view to the mountains from the house and proximity to hiking on the neighbouring Marlouth reserve was what sold the property to us...but we were so delighted with the beautiful, thoughtful and comfortable furnishings that it was hard to leave the house. The pool was the perfect place to cool off and we made a braai each night, eating out as the stars came out over the valley. Tip: purchase the braai meat that is offered as an extra - it is fantastic!!! Note - there is a microwave and a 2 plate gas hob but no oven (plan menu accordingly).

Could not have been happier! Would highly reccommened this get-a-way!

We had the most amazing time staying at Susan’s place in McGregor—honestly, this house and its grounds are straight out of a Pinterest board, but with better Wi-Fi. One of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in—it truly felt like home. The location is so peaceful. And the night sky? It was like the universe was flexing its stars just for us. Now, I’d give this place a solid 10/10, but… the pool had a little surprise for us. When we uncovered it, it was more green lagoon than refreshing oasis. With all the sunshine on offer, we were hoping for a dip, but instead, we tried to play pool cleaners for the night. Sadly, our efforts to make it swimmable by night two didn’t really work out. Still, would 100% come back…

Such an amazing home, it honestly just a little private oasis. Highly recommended for a few days, not much to do in the close proximity but a great place to relax with friends and family.

My wife and I have been traveling to globe for a year now and rarely do we find an Airbnb that fits the description; “truly awesome!!”. This home, set in a fig and pecan orchard (and stunning garden), has commanding views of the mountains surrounding Montagu. The pool and BBQ area are simply wonderful. The house is beautifully furnished with two stunning bedrooms en suite. Thank you, Michele and Martin for a truly amazing experience. We’ll certainly be back.

We absolutely adored staying in Katie’s beautiful house in Franschhoek. Peter and John were great and the location is perfect. So well equipped for all we needed and the pool and garden were fabulous. Would love to return in the future.

Beautiful surroundings, tranquility with the best sunsets.

Absolutely gorgeous place. It’s like living in an art gallery. The bedrooms are better than even the best hotel rooms - we don’t even know how the duvets are that fluffy. Penny was so great with early and late checkouts and the on site manager was amazing - sorting out any property niggles immediately. From a design perspective, it’s a bit odd that there’s little to “do” on the side with the views. There’s a patio with some outside furniture but there’s no shade in the afternoon and it could really benefit from something - a hot tub, or a splash pool to keep you enjoying the view while doing holiday things. Also, with it being a new build and considering the cost, I would expect the solar to cover more during load shedding than just essential lighting. Using it to heat the pool would make the pool far more usable. It’s the cleanest Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in but on the whole I think it’s too expensive for a 3 bedroom, and a bit light on things like glassware.

the house itself feels much bigger than it seems in the picture, was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. the surrounding vineyard is stunning, with amazing mountain views! as for the location, you are never more than 10mins away from a stunning vineyard and wine tasting. The property has a communal area which served the most amazing breakfast and an honesty bar which was always handy when we needed a cheeky beer by the pool. there was always someone around if you ever needed help with anything, the staff were world class; service orientated, very friendly and chatty. a cleaner came and tidied up everyday which is something we are not used to with airbnb, was so nice to be able to relax and chill without worrying about the floors and surfaces. Vanessa is running an absolute gem of a place. She was always eager to help and made a great recommendation about the boschendal market, which we attended. if we ever needed anything, she was there! friendly, chatty and lovey 5 stars!!

Prachtig sfeervol familiehuis met overal eet- en lounge zitjes. Grote gezellige veranda met uitzicht op de mooie grote tuin vol bloeiende planten, eekhoorns, vogels. Groot en vooral lang zwembad (baantjes!) met heel gezellig poolhouse met nóg een complete keuken, mooi compleet servies etc. De temperatuur ging van 38 graden naar 22. De eerste nacht was het dus erg warm maar er zijn in alle ruimtes fans. En op de verdieping airco. Restaurants en winkels op loopafstand. Hugo en Saskia waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam en hun huis zag er werkelijk tip top uit. We voelden ons welkom. Wij hadden met 7 personen een heerlijke tijd in Villa forty two. Wij kunnen dit huis zeker aanraden!

Perfect place to enjoy all Franschhoek has to offer. Slightly out of the main high street so feels very peaceful. We were only 6 and the place felt huge! Could comfortably fit 10. Also very kid friendly with bunk room, play room and fantastic pool.

Pennys place is exquisite!! Communication was superb. Everything was pristine and the location was perfect for our family weekend away ✨

This was truly a piece of heaven! I didn't want to leave. If I weren't hosting an event in Cape Town - I wouldn't have left - and could have easily stayed for AT LEAST a week longer. The layout of the home was exquisite, very such clever design features everywhere. Such as the shutter doors that allow you to sleep feeling safe with fresh cool natural air blowing (even though it was warm in the days - it was cool at night), the beautiful bath with large window looking into the garden, the high ceilings in the living area - and I could go on and on. This place was a delight. I loved how peaceful and private it felt - looking out at the mountains across the garden, verandah, pool, deck and even an amazing sauna. Monika was so helpful, proactive, friendly and warm - and has built a place where you can feel nurtured, energized and peaceful. I can't recommend highly enough! I will be back many times!

Schönes Haus mit viel Grün und tollem Panorama. Die Managerin Anni und das ganze Team sehr,sehr nett und hilfsbereit ,die Kommunikation hervorragend. Bequeme Sitze und Liegen im Garten, der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt. Jeder der ankommt soll sich mit der Anwesenheit von Mücken arrangieren. Vielen Dank und schöne Grüße

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt während unseres Roadtrips durch Südafrika und können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen. Einfach ein toller Ort zum Verweilen und Entspannen. Die Kommunikation mit Monika war ebenfalls fantastisch!
