Lovely holiday cottage. Great facilities, especially the kitchen. Beautiful, quiet part of Scotland. We walked every day. Would recommend.

This is a fantastic property. The wood fired hot tub and log burner were ace, and great ways to beat the winter cold. The kitchen/bathroom was clean and contemporary. The bedrooms were cosy. Communication with the host was top notch, Matthew even helped me find a missing Amazon parcel. The place was easy to find, and had detailed literature on the local amenities as well as how to use the facilities. Would definitely stay again.

We had rented the smaller building next door 2 years ago and fell in love with it from the get go. We did not think it could be topped, however, it's sister building next door is stunning. Fantastically clean, amazing scenery and surroundings, very clear and quick responses from Amanda! Our favourite place to stay when visiting the Highlands. I can't recommend it enough. To top it off, my wife left her jacket and we were in Fort William before she realised. Amanda and Paul kindly shipped it out to us. Thanks again, you guys are awesome!

Rowan Cottage is a beautiful and cosy place that was spot on for our family. The only slight set back we had was regarding the temperature of the hot tub. Robin and the maintenances guys responded quickly and tried everything to resolve the issue.

Myself and uni friends had a fantastic stay at Rosemarkie Cottage while on placement. Eva could not have been more helpful! always just a message away. Stunning home in a beautiful location. I would love to live somewhere like here in the future. Beautiful walks and scenery, very peaceful!

Outstanding! The cottage was perfect: from the views of the three lochs, the castle, and the surrounding countryside to the relaxing and private amenities and yard. We couldn’t be more pleased with the rental and especially the hosts Karen and Graham. We would highly recommend their 5-star property!

We had an amazing holiday. Cottage was beautiful. Everything we needed in the cottage. Games room was a bonus! Plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 teens. Beautiful location. Log burner was lovely in the evening. Fantastic hosts!

Brett's cottage is outstanding. The surroundings were tranquil. wish I had the time to explore more whilst staying in the cottage as Shandwick was so lovely. Would recommend this little piece of serenity to anyone looking to explore the north Highlands.

Perfect Location, only a few minutes from the town but you feel in the countryside. hosts were amazing. Highly Recommended!

Great place with fantastic equipment and set up, good kitchen and social spaces, overall spot in but worth noting it is quite close to the railway line, not a huge issue as it's quite a quiet line. Overall great.

Our second stay here, we love it. The cottage is beautiful as are the surroundings. Lots of nature & fabulous walks. Especially loved watching the birds, red squirrels & woodpecker at the feeder by the window. The hosts are very friendly & very responsive to any queries. Hope to be back again soon!

We had a lovely stay at Avril’s place. It was very clean and comfy. The rooms were large with plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were so grateful for the welcome hamper that was waiting for us. Really enjoyed the cozy fire on a chilly night! It’s a lovely walk to the beach and there were so many interesting things to see and do close by. We particularly enjoyed the lovely walk to St Mary’s Chapel which was not far away.

We had a lovely stay in the wee cottage. I would highly recommend it .Kate was so helpful and lovely.

We stayed here for 5 nights but could’ve easily stayed much longer! It’s just such a nice place that really feels like home the minute you walk through the door. The room with the windows facing the sea is a great place to hang out, look out over the coast and watch all the birds fly by - grabbing your binoculars when you think you see something special :) Our 1,5 year old daughter really enjoyed the house too (she loved all the children’s books!). Bit challenging to keep her off the stairs but the multi-purpose fire guard worked a treat!

Plain and simple, this was THE best air b’n’b we have ever stayed in. Everything about it. The location and the club and grounds are just beyond stunning. Breathtaking views. Between the back view of the highland club facing Loch Ness to looking over your shoulder to see Loch Ness, just amazing. The cottage itself while not a part of the main building was perfect. All the amenities needed and plenty of space for the four of us. Waking up to the snow on the lawn outside was beautiful. The hamper on arrival was so helpful for our 3 nights there. The board games, fire place and sporting equipment was great. The games room and especially heated pool inside was amazing to relax and look out to the snowy mountains. Honestly, was sad to leave and could have stayed there another week! Worth every cent. Our two kids were in heaven.

We stayed for work and Paul was responsive to everything we needed.

Debbie’s house is beautiful. It’s cosy, comfy and the living space is modern and attractive to be in. Bedrooms and bathrooms are great. Our dogs loved the enclosed outside space. We have had the most wonderful week visiting Skye, Altnahara, Ullapool, Assynt, Ardvreck Cstle and Dornoch. This lovely property is brilliantly situated to explore the beautiful Highlands.

The place was perfect. it was easy to find, the views are beautiful and it's in a perfect location to explore. It had everything we needed on our stay. The place was clean and tidy and exceeded our expectations Would recommend!!

Wir haben eine super Zeit hier verbracht, unsere Hunde werden den Garten vermissen. Ein super Startpunkt für viele Ausflüge und anschließend in die richtige ruhige Umgebung von Knockbain zurück kommen, traumhaft. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wieder kommen. Vielleicht ist das Wetter beim nächsten Mal nicht so schottisch 😅 Danke für alles

We had all four seasons during our stay at the cottage, and tons of wildlife to view as anyone who’s stayed before will know! The space is beautifully decorated, designed and thought out. It may be small but it but met all our needs, including great storage space under the bed and in the bedroom cupboards. Even if we weren’t in a pick up truck, the road would have been doable in my old Toyota Yaris! It’s been recently paved and only about 20% of it is a bit pothole-y, but you’ll fine that in lots of places on Skye! We agree with an earlier review that the isolation depicted by the drone photos didn’t feel accurate when we arrived to see how close the fishery was. I had visions of swimming in the mornings but felt a little too close to people that were working on boats and Iand than I had expected. This also means my partners dreams of stargazing on the clear nights we had were dampened by the huge flood lights that come from the fishery building on land. Otherwise, wonderful!

The property is a short walk to the local town which has plenty of amenities. We stayed out of season so a lot of things were closed but we anticipated this might be the case. Gloria suggested a local restaurant, Sprig which we decided to try for drinks. The cocktails were exceptional. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Although the weather wasn’t great it didn’t spoil our first visit to Syke.
