Cosy, characterful house in a great location close to shops and restaurants. The house had everything we needed and communication from Anna was really helpful and welcoming. It was a 25 minute flat walk into the city centre and 5 minutes to Roath park. Thank you for a lovely stay Anna.

The house was very convenient and big enough for the guests. it had parking for two cars which was useful! The house looked exactly like the photos with plenty of space. the road where the house was looked nice. We walked to the centre and found it wasn't too far.

This was our second stay at Nick's house. As before, Nick was responsive to messages beforehand. We were able to park right outside the house. It was all clean and tidy as before. Nick kindly added an extra guitar so both my kids had one. It was very convenient for us as we were in Newport for the marathon.

I enjoyed staying at Gillian's cottage and I want to return . There is a cycle path nearby which I want to explore on lighter evenings.

Ty Hapus is an outstanding place to stay and Jane is an outstanding host. The house was simply immaculate, with everything you could possibly need - the location also exceeded our expectations, with both restaurants and shops a 2 minute walk away. Jane’s communication was excellent throughout and she had thoughtfully provided many self catering essentials, such as bread, milk and cereal to name but a few! We are already planning our return and consider ourselves very lucky to have found such a wonderful home to holiday in - thank you so much Jane!

We had an incredible short weekend here & it was perfect! Visiting family in Barry & it is a great location to access many places nearby. The caravan had everything you needed, clean & very homely! To top it all off the views are incredible, straight out to sea. Nicky was on hand with any questions we had & is the perfect host. Highly recommended to all.

The lovely stay in the laundry cottage enhanced our holiday experience tremendously. The gardens are beautiful, the pool a joy to swim in and the surroundings peaceful and quaint. We walked to the nature preserve with amazing sand dunes and a big beach and Ogmore castle. Our hosts Lana and Rory were very responsive and accommodating. We are looking forward to coming back soon for more exploring.

An unforgettable stay for a special occasion! We booked this house for my sisters 40th Birthday celebrations and it did not disappoint! About a 20-minute drive from Cardiff which was convenient when venturing out for food and drinks (I would advise pre booking travel as we got stung on return taxis) The check-in was very friendly and informative. The host made sure we had all the details we needed, and the process was smooth and hassle-free. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The accommodation was just as described in the listing with plenty of space and thoughtful touches that made the stay even more special. Everything you could need was provided, including a well-equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, and toiletries. The place had all the essentials, and it was clear the host put a lot of care into making sure everything was available. Duncan is an amazing host, his communication is great. The caravan feels like home, it has everything you want and more, it’s clean, comfortable, even down to books, games, plenty of kitchen equipment, even an air fryer, It’s nice to have the welcome pack of wine, milk, and biscuits. We really enjoyed our break. it’s a perfect place to stay.

Me and my partner spent 2 nights here. Great communication with Diane and David from the start and very quick to answer any questions before our getaway. We tied in our break with a day spent in Cardiff for the six nations, so the location was perfect for us - beautiful surroundings, easy to find and away from the hustle and bustle of a big city, which was a lovely! An extra thank you to David for making sure our travel arrangements on the Saturday were as easy and stress free as possible! Overall, a fantastic place to stay and we’ve already talked about coming back with friends and staying in both lodges! Thank you both :)

A very clean and comfortable stay. The house and gardens were immaculately presented. We felt right at home and had a relaxing stay. The house is located in a quiet street. You can be on a beach in 5 mins walk and the famous Barry island beach is a lovely coastal stroll away. We came on a Gavin and Stacey Pilgrimage. The house was the ideal base for a family holiday, giving us plenty of space to chill out in. The welcome treats were a very kind gift.

Fab stay for three nights. Mandy and Ray very helpful and attentive. Try out the Reform Club just up the road; lovely welcome from the locals and dog friendly. Few minor things to note... it probably states it on the property description but there is no hob. It's not easy to see this on the images. An air fryer and slow cooker are available. The radiator probably needs an upgrade as the setting icons are worn; Ray's on it! The hut sits relatively below the main road passing Argoed, so if staying midweek, expect to hear some traffic 8-9am rush hour.

we wished we had found Christine`s little house earlier as were a very easy walk to our family. everything was beautifully clean and we had all we needed - heating, wifi, hot water towels and linen. Thank you.

A perfect cottage for a couple with a dog- the secure garden with grass was a great bonus. Everything was thought of to make travelling with a dog easy and welcome. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our evening meals and the Welsh Cakes were a lovely local touch. The bed is comfy with a good range of pillows. We made the most of being close to the beach and the valleys, exploring the local areas.

Claire’s place is gorgeous! Cosy and warm with beautiful rustic charm. It felt like quite an adventure getting down the lanes in the dark but clear instructions and a warm welcome. Field was great for the dog and that and the nearby beaches meant he didn’t want to come home. We had a relaxing weekend and would definitely come again.
