really nice lodges, and well thought out to accommodate the 4 of us that stayed.

The lodge was exactly as described, can’t fault anything other than communication from host, check in details wasn’t listed so made it hard to know how to check in but we did figure it out by asking at the bar. Although Peter did explain that he was locked out of his account we still didn’t know what to do. The hot tub was perfect and was a lovely family break. I would definitely be willing to come back.

Had a lovely stay in the lodge. Beds comfy, place was clean and luxurious, great to have robes for when utilising the hot tub. Temp of hot tub did unfortunately vary and was cold on first night but soon sorted through instructions from host. Overall a very lovely stay with beautiful views and secluded quiet environment.WiFi a bonus! Lovely touches including bottle of wine, welcome note and folder providing info on local area and places to eat. We enjoyed visiting the foxton locks, the local tearoom and the local market for some lovely fresh produce.

Just back from a wonderful weekend with friends. The lodge was very spacious for 5 of us and very quiet and peaceful overlooking the lake. The property is based at Makins fisheries. Really easy to find and as per the pictures. Following several other reviews, we walked to the Blue Pig pub, around 20 minutes walk away although I think this can be cut shorter walking through the lakes but we weren't sure of the way so followed google maps instead. Lovely little country pub though. I believe there is a shop and cafe on site too but we didn't visit it. We also took some extra utensils and pans as previous reviews stated there weren't enough. They were right. We also took champagne flutes as mostly, these don't appear to be provided and they weren't here. Our only gripe, was the toaster wasn't fully functioning with only two of the four slots working and the two that did work took forever to toast! We were in cabin 1. Will definitely be back though! We loved it!

If you are looking for a weekend away with lads it’s perfect place .. Host is very responsive

Great stay, had all the basics needed apart from a bit of hand soap and tissues in the kitchen. Other than that we had a lovely time and would recommend to others looking to stay

We had the most relaxing couple of days here. we stayed In pod 3 & it was just as described, spotlessly clean, couldn’t ask for much more. The photos showed a nice egg chair on the decking which we didn’t actually have but this didn’t but a dampener on anything. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back soon.

My girlfriend and I went and stayed here and it was wonderful. A really peaceful place to stay, very relaxing and private. The cabin was very nice, clean, well maintained and felt right at home. Would definitely recommend to anyone for a getaway or staycation. Will definitely love to stay here again in future!

Fabulous 10 day stay waiting for our house to be finally fixed. Very comfortable beds and wonderful shower. Great kitchen area especially having the Nespresso Machine, and induction hob like home from home. Charming place everything we could have wished for. Def miss Theo and Fred too🐶

We had a lovely time, even in winter when the rain was pouring! It's cosy and clean, close to Rutland water if you want to visit. I'm originally from Rutland and we were visiting family, it's a short journey to Oakham, Uppingham, Rutland water, close to amenities. It was great to have the dog with us and our 5-year-old. We will be booking again!

The landlord Liam is responsible and kind, always ready to help. It's a very cosy cabins, would definitely recommend to my friends :D!

Host Chris was very welcoming and informative. Lodge was a lovely retreat for two in perfect location, very private and peaceful. Would highly recommend local farm shop Farndon Fields Market Harborough, great local produce and we ate a delicious breakfast there. Market Harborough itself worth a visit too. Local pub Coach & Horses Lubenham is under new management, very friendly and good selection of well kept beers. Would highly recommend, we are already looking to book again. Ian & Gee

Sunning location by the side of a small lake. Sunsets were stunning. Lodge is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bed is super comfortable with luxury bed linens. The shower is huge and excellent. Lots to do in the local area. Mini Meadows petting farm is very close and was very much enjoyed by our 3 year old granddaughter. Loads of pubs within a few minutes drive and the lovely market town of Market Harborough has lots of lovely shops and some great eating places. And every supermarket you can think of!

I booked this as a gaming retreat for my friend and I as a mini-stag and it was so much more than we had hoped. Super peaceful, the Alpacas and Sheep were lovely to pet and we were given carrots to feed them which was a great treat. The golf cart was a lovely novelty too. We were really well looked after before and upon arrival. The cabin is located in a private and secluded area with it's own grounds, lake and outdoor areas with a large firepit. It is very well appointed and clean with more than enough space for just us two. I'd love to bring the family here but dogs aren't welcome, other than this, the place is a perfect little retreat and I 100% recommend. Thank you, Mel!

Was a lovely stay couldn’t have picked a better place. The place was specious clean and had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and close to all the amenities on site. WiFi could be upgraded to be better of people have a requirement for it
