Lovely lodge, even more spacious than the photos show! Very clean and plenty of amenities for cooking etc. The lake was peacful and very centrally located for things to do in the area such as bike rides, Conkers, furnace museum etc. A good Coop a few mins walk away and bigger supermarkets a short drive. The bistro on site, run by Joanne did the most amazing brunches and HUGE slabs of homemade cake. I wish we had discovered this before our last day! Highly recommend a meal by the lake side. They do beer and wine too but its only open until 4pm so make the most of it during your stay!

John’s cabin was a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Very remote and feels off grid. Such a pleasant bloke. Will definitely return in the summer.

Host Chris was very welcoming and informative. Lodge was a lovely retreat for two in perfect location, very private and peaceful. Would highly recommend local farm shop Farndon Fields Market Harborough, great local produce and we ate a delicious breakfast there. Market Harborough itself worth a visit too. Local pub Coach & Horses Lubenham is under new management, very friendly and good selection of well kept beers. Would highly recommend, we are already looking to book again. Ian & Gee

We usually stay in a hotel when we visit our son in Nottingham- but not anymore now I’ve discovered Rob and Jo’s place- slept so well and am usually a really light sleeper so that was a real plus. The garden house was spotless and lovely and warm despite it being below freezing outside. Rob and Jo are lovely people who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast bits were an extra treat- all so calm and quiet. Will definitely be back and would recommend 100%. Thank you so much!!

We were visiting the area with our 3 dogs and Helen was very accommodating and it did not disappoint. The apartment was beautiful and lots of really thoughtful extras. We had a busy weekend dog training but I’m actually gutted we couldn’t have spent more time in the apartment because of how lovely and cozy it was. Thank you Helen! Highly recommend 😊

Such a beautiful area , Dave was lovely so kind and helpful , was up for a chat at any time and went out of he’s way to help us . The place itself was so cosy and peaceful and the views were amazing . Will definitely be recommending and coming back .

I really enjoyed my time here! Great for work and better than any noisy hotel. Bed was really comfortable and woke up late as it was so quiet. Cooked my own dinner both nights and was like a home from home. I will be back for sure.

We had a lovely stay, it was exactly as expected and Rob responded very quickly, and he was very helpful and gave us some great recommendations for local places to eat.

I booked this room for my parents to stay in while my house is inaccessible and it was a fantastic find. My parents found it really accessible, the bed was extremely comfortable and it was really close to Carlton shops and restaurants so we were easily able to meet up and have a lovely time. Fantastic place and lovely hosts.

Great stay at the pod! My partner fished the beautiful lake and was lucky enough to catch some wonderful fish, including pike and perch🎣 The pod was homely and had all the amenities! The grounds were peaceful and the hosts were so lovely, welcoming and helpful. We can’t wait to visit the pod again! Thanks again, Andy and Shirley. Tight lines 🎣

Beautiful place, nice and relaxing big space and gorgeous views, went with my partner and 2 young kids who absolutely loved it, rob was easy to communicate with and extremely helpful :) deffo would return

Our 7th visit to Greenwood’s did not disappoint. Even with bad weather we still enjoyed ourselves and the hut was so cosy and lovely.

We loved our stay at The Hide! The Shepherds hut was perfect for what we wanted and we really enjoyed using the facilities provided! The clear instructions provided made everything really easy to use and we appreciated the recommendations for local walks provided by Natalia… Thank you:)

Emma & Matts welcoming charm mixed with their beautifully hand made and created log cabin was exactly what we wanted. Our 14yr & 10yr old loved the tree trunk loft beds and the log burner finished it off what was an idyllic evening. Thank you we will come again and spread the word 🤓

We had a lovely stay. It is such a cosy place and had everything we needed for a couple of days during half term. Nice local villages and places to eat. Plenty of things to do in the nearby areas. We went to the space station and Nottingham castle and they were both grrat. Cabin was lovely to come back to.

Great little cabin for a short stay, unfortunately weather didn’t permit use of the hot tub and there seemed to be a wicked draft coming into the hut. Rebecca was really helpful with getting the log burner going to keep the hut warm.

My second stay at Heather’s lovely loft. Their recommended walk was fabulous! The loft was pristine and comfy with very effective heating. It was a very welcome retreat to return after each day of accordion practice with my orchestra. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome. I hope to return for future orchestra weekends.

We really enjoyed our stay here with our dog too! It was beautifully styled and the layout was really impressive. Everything you need is supplied in both the kitchen and bathroom, and plenty of towels provided. Perfect location for us as we take our dog on many walks. It was a real treat staying here. A little surprise for my Husband the night before his 60th birthday, he always likes quirky little places so this fit the bill! Very comfortable bed, peaceful evening, pretty spot. Would be great for fishing enthusiasts as it’s literally feet from the waterside! Great host, thank you Mark.

Our second stay at this cottage - it was just ideal. Bob is a great host, and the place is a super quiet retreat with every amenity we could ask for. Fridge stocked on arrival and also lots of little welcoming touches. Feel right at home as soon as you walk in. Completely comfortable, warm and just what you'd hope for.
