Though I did not have the pleasure of staying at Lizelle's highly rated place and enjoy that highly anticipated meal due to our ending up at the wrong location too late in the evening for a variety of reasons, I am very grateful to Lizelle that she was kind enough to allow a cancellation with a refund which, in turn, allowed us to choose a place closer to where we had ended up late evening and with a young kid. Thank you Lizelle. I hope to be able to stay at yours at some point in future :)

The location of this establishment is exceptionally convenient for those seeking to explore Namaqua National Park, as it is situated near the park's finest entrance. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, although what truly sets this experience apart is the exceptional warmth and assistance provided by Anna Maria and her husband. Our purpose for visiting extended beyond the floral beauty, as we also aspired to immerse ourselves in the rustic charm of farm life in South Africa. Engaging in captivating dialogues, we gleaned invaluable insights into farming practices and the rich historical tapestry of this region. In heartfelt gratitude, we extend our sincere appreciation to Anna Maria and her husband for her generous hospitality, which made our stay truly memorable.

If we visit Hondeklipbaai again, we will definitely stay at Hondehemel again. The house was super clean and an excellent location. The hostess went the extra mile to book our dinner at the Dop & Kreef. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Stunning Stunning Spot! Only sadness was that we only spent 1 night. Looking forward to my next visit when I’ll have a chance to enjoy the beautiful area for a bit longer.

Es war ein Abenteuer zu dieser Cottage zu gelangen. GoogleMap gibt den kürzesten Weg an über eine unbefahrenen Weg der nicht geteert ist. Sehr steinig mit viel Löchern. Er gab 2h an, wir hatten 3h. Das muss man erwähnen. Die Cottage ist sehr schön und liegt an einem tollen sehr abgelegenem Ort mit wenig Möglichkeiten einzukaufen oder Restaurants zu besuchen. Man muss was zuessen mitnehmen.

In der Unterkunft war alles vorhanden was wichtig ist und die Umgebung sehr ruhig und schön. Der Kontakt mit Michell war super. Gerne wieder.
