We enjoy our stay. Was a very comfortable house. Kitchen set up with plenty of dishes. and having a dishwasher was a plus! Beds were comfortable. Fishing was fun! Thank you for allowing our 2 Cavaliers spaniels to stay! Bob and Sherry were great hosts!

This lake house was beautifully and conveniently renovated. All the appliances and electronics worked flawlessly. But the best part is the sunset view!! We took pictures of sunset almost everyday. It was a bit chilly for lake activities, but we did enjoy hanging out on the porch and the little shack on the deck. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a great lake vacation!

The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and well care for. Phillip has provided a snack assortment within the room and fruit in the kitchen for snacking. Whole Foods is 1 block away and with a refrigerator within your room, makes it extremely convenient.

We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to book a home instead of the normal hotel rooms. The home was just what we needed after a long day at the fields; beautiful views, inviting home with everything we needed, and a comfortable peaceful atmosphere that made winding down easy. We will be back next season!

Philip’s place reminds me of the golden days of AirBnb. Such a cool house in a great location. And Philip was really welcoming. In the days of property management companies and cookie cutter rentals, Philip was a breath of fresh air. There were interesting books and instruments (next time I’m trying the washboard.) There were tons of snacks and food, and amenities, etc. There was also so much fresh fruit and I think that’s the first time I had fresh pecans. I’d definitely stay at Philip’s place again!

Philip’s place is special. This is exactly what I have hoped Airbnbs to be for my whole time using the site. Not only is the space beautiful, the room lovely, the bed SUPREMELY comfortable (I slept like a baby) and the en suite everything you could need, but Philip has also fostered a vibe of community in this space which—for those who travel seeking connection—is a really wonderful experience. The garden is full of veggies and herbs that guests are welcome to take, and it’s a child’s dream, with monkeybars and swings. Not far from the bars and restaurants of Midtown (I recommend the Blue Tavern!) and so convenient for groceries from Whole Foods. Philip and Ariana were super communicative and helpful, solving any issues with speed and kindness. I was lucky enough to catch Philip on a day that he was taking his granddaughter out on the canoe, and he invited me along too, and I saw my first manatee! I hope to come back again in the future. One of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in

We absolutely LOVED this place! We were visiting our daughter at FSU and always try to find a place that is dog friendly with room for them to run around and play. The house itself was decorated perfectly, very private, on a beautiful piece of property. The long floating dock on the lake with chairs to sit out and watch the sunset was perfect. It's not easy to find exceptional places in/near Tallahassee (that don't break the bank), are somewhere safe, and accept dogs. I was actually sad to leave! Again, I can't say enough great things about Shady Timbers. We will definitely be back! Host was EXTREMELY responsive as well!

Phillip's place is amazing! The edible garden, food forest is wondrous with a dinner's worth of food. The inside is beautiful, spacious and I felt immediately at home inside. I love that Phillip composts and takes care of the environment. There was a bunch of snacks and a continental breakfast. He has tons of amenities. He greeted me and showed me around and was very kind and helpful. Definitely one of my favorite BNBs that I have stayed at over the last 13 years.
