Lerwick : locations de vacances en bord de mer

We came for a weekend staycation and Lunna pier pod did not disappoint. The pod itself was clean and cosy with everything you could need. The pod is really private and in a beautiful location where the only people to come by were seals and local kayakers. Our bairns loved the open space round the pod, exploring the old Lunna kirk (and the old smoking kiln) and not forgetting the hot tub! The addition of the wood fired hot tub really sets Lunna pier pod apart from others in Shetland (and we have been to them all) We spent most of our weekend either relaxing in the hot tub or being soaked by our bairns. Pamela was a great host and nothing was too much trouble. A great weekend was had by all and we will definitely be back.

On our second visit to Shetland, we think there's no better location to stay than this apartment. We doubt there is a better view from anywhere in Lerwick; we commented that we could enjoy our trip almost as much if we just sat in the apartment and gazed out the windows. The location is easy walking to the high street that has everything anyone could need, and easy parking just outside the door if you have a car. The amenities are exceptional for Scotland and Shetland -- especially a clothes washer and tumble dryer, which makes packing light easy and drying out after a wet walk even easier. The apartment is exceptionally comfortable in terms of furniture, beds, and linens as well as lighting and warmth. The host's communication, welcome, and hospitality are top-notch. As far as we're concerned, the only drawback to this destination is that it's so desirable we will have a hard time finding availability to book it on our next visit.

Lovely stay in this beautiful setting - plenty of life to entertain us! The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed, cosy in the unusually cool June weather. The welcome hamper was great and everything we needed in the kitchen, lovely coffee machine. Lots of good information to help us have a great stay. The hot water is amazing! Lots of lovely hot baths, much needed after long walks. We would recommend The Golden Coach Chinese restaurant, Seabirds and Seals boat tours and Grant’s minibus tours. Thank you Gil and Kareene for letting us stay, we were sad to leave and would love to come again some time 😊.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage was perfect for us to go exploring and super cosy to come back to. It was so well equipped for family stays (even down to sandwich wrappings for picnic lunches). The views were just beautiful, and the children loved being greeted by the chickens each day. Any queries were quickly addressed.

A very spacious, discrete, comfortable and well equipped home, optimally placed to explore the full extent of the islands. The nearby CoOp and garage in Brae have all the supplies you need. Fresh mussels and scallops available daily from the shellfish farm across the bay. Amazing wildlife, including otters on the lawn. Nikita is a super host, very supportive with good ideas, such as where to spot Orcas. The nearby Brae hotel does good dinners. Thoroughly recommend staying as long as you can to enjoy a special place, people and wildlife in the British Isles. Thanks Nikita!

This place was a dream!! The location is stunning and the house was beautifully decorated with lots of interesting art on the walls. The host was so friendly and responded quickly when we contacted her. This has to be the best Airbnb my sister and myself have stayed in so far and we have stayed in quite a few.

What to say about Yvette and her perfect little shepherd's hut. Fantastic views overlooking the sea. The hut had a little bit of everything in it to make the stay even better. Even down to a emergency sewing kit for just incase. And then there's Yvette the wonderful, amazing, kind and amazing host. Words can not express how brilliant and perfect you are. Personally would pick Yvette and her little hut over a 5 star luxury place any day of the week. Thank you for making the time in Shetland so memorable.

Da Milksop provides a perfect base from which to explore beautiful Shetland. It is clean, warm, comfortable and has fantastic views from the picture window in the sitting room. Sunsets are spectacular!
