This is a true story, and why we love Nz, it’s people, and in particular people like Toby. I was booking a multi day, multiple Airbnb holiday, and I accidentally booked the accommodation with Toby not for the night we had planned to stay but instead booked for the following night. We drove to the accommodation in the evening, settled into the beautiful and immaculately furnished cottage and had a wonderful night there. We had a long drive ahead of us that next day, and that morning, as we were packing up Toby came by to say hi. He had noticed that someone was staying in the cottage but didn’t want to bother us… and when he came by on the morning we were leaving, he was so chill and friendly, and it didn’t take long to figure out I had booked the wrong day. He said, ‘hey, no worries, it’s all good’. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and can’t recommend the place, and Toby as a host, high enough!!!!!!

Wow! What an incredible house! We loved it, it is now officially the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The weather played ball too, so all around we had an amazing time!

Beautiful, historic little house. Lots of character. Very nicely renovated with lots of period touches. The home made biscuits with walnuts from the tree outside were a lovely touch. Even though it was a very cold night we were nice and toastie with the heaters/gas fire and blankets.

Magnifique! Le logement proposé par Liana est juste incroyable. Nous avons pu nous reposer avant de prendre notre avion. Il était très propre, paisible, avec tout l'équipement nécessaire pour passer un bon moment. Liana est très gentille, amicale et arrangeante. Un très grand merci pour tout. Le petit plus, les moutons qui sont super beaux et amicales 😃😃 Nous vous recommandons fortement le logement.

Incredible place. Have never experienced anything like it. On top of the world with complete privacy. Highly recommend. The hosts have a very special spot in a rather unknown corner of New Zealand. Rugged and wild.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at David’s place with our dog in March. It is very remote so take all that you need with you. The cabin has beautiful views of the mountains and the night sky from the hot tub was amazing. Take repellent for the sand flies, there were also lots of bees and wasps at the time of year we went. We didn’t want to leave and will certainly return.

Beautiful spot, beautiful home, very much what we needed and were looking for - a relaxed, peaceful weekend. Jane was so lovely - couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We will definitely be back, thanks again!
