We loved our stay at Joe's!! We'd recommend to anyone wanting a bit of a digital detox weekend. We don't live very far away at all, but this weekend felt like a complete removal of normal life as we were transported to a beautiful, calm and relaxing stay. The Shepherds Hut was super cosy and warm considering it was around 5 degrees outside over the weekend and colder at night. The sauna obviously was the star of the show for this reason too and one of the main reasons we booked this stay, it did not disappoint!! Lovely touches include the breakfast food in the fridge for the mornings & coffee, tea and hot chocolate all stocked. The privacy and space in the kitchen and bathroom. The walk out onto the public trail to take you into Lewes town centre, a gorgeous walk we'd 100% recommend. Joe was super friendly and available to help with anything we needed, couldn't have asked for any more from a host or stay! We'd love to come back in the summer!

Sue's place was lovely, cozy and in a great location. The place was gorgeous and everything was clean. The fire was toasty and already lit when we arrived which was very welcoming. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay with everything we needed, and we look forward to returning!

A really delightful place to relax. Keith was fab. Place was wonderful. Robes for Us both and sliders to get up to the amazing hot tub. Good pub round the corner and most especially the breakfast was brought to the door and was utterly fab. Thanks Keith. Lovely all around.

Wir hatten zwei schöne Tage und Nächte mit Hund im Bothy. Stromlos aber mit Kerzen und Solarlicht war großartig. Der Service mit den Kühlakkus war super und sehr nett. Das Bett und die Decken mega gemütlich. Kleine Info an Hundebesitzer mit Jagd ambitionierten Hunden: Das Gelände ist nicht eingezäunt und es gibt Hunderte! Fasane (vor der Jagdsaison im Oktober) Wir würden es absolut weiter empfehlen!!!

The Annexe was a very special place to spend the weekend, enjoyed the hotub and then sitting in front of the log burner. Tracey was a lovely host and we can highly recommend a stay if ever your visiting this beautiful part of the UK

This was our third time staying at The Barn and we will certainly be back again! We instantly feel settled and comfortable in this perfect set-up. It’s located in the most amazing spot with cute shops and restaurants at your doorstep. Our dog feels super comfortable being there and having the small garden is ideal. Cath is delightful and responsive with her messages. We felt very welcomed and were grateful for the thoughtful touches on arrival. Can’t wait for visit number four!

What a beautiful cottage! had a great stay in a wonderful location next a pond. Really enjoyed the indoor fireplace and bbq'in in the garden. the cottage was tidy and cosy. Henrietta is an amazing and responsive host helping us with all our needs every step of the way. highly recommend!!

Had a wonder solo trip here! Easy walk to the beach and shops - The beautiful art work was great to unwind too as I had a good nights sleep 🥰 will stay again - sauna & patio was perfect and felt so refreshed for my stay here - , didn’t get to try the movie screen but that was also a great addition. Plenty of cooking tool too if you don’t fancy having dinner out! Thank you Sarah and Matt.

Fabulous place to stay. I was there for two nights - the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding. It was the best place to get ready as it was so peaceful, waking up to the glorious view on my wedding day is a core memory. Chris was really helpful on check in, despite me being late and not warning him. Would recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful base in that area.

We just spend a night at Tanya's and it was as described. She was very attentive and provide great recommendations.

It was a lovely couple of nights on the boat. Slept really well and our son was super excited to be there.

What a beautiful little spot in the countryside. The cabin itself was beautiful so cosy and for a small space quite roomy too! Has everything you need even a little honesty bar with drinks and snacks. We have four dogs (big dogs) and they were very well catered for too, treats on arrival and a dog bed for them! The main event is the outside space. We really struggle with finding somewhere that allows us to have a peaceful break with our girls but this space is amazing. The communication was second to non and the hosts were lovely too. We’d love to be back in the future 🐕❤️

Kenny's Hut was as described if not better. Absolutely perfect little private retreat. I have rated every 5 stars as I would give honest constructive feedback if that's how I felt or I felt it was good but didn't quite live up to expectations/ pricing. But in all truth it was faultless and even the little touches like leaving milk in the fridge, having the hot tub heated for our arrival, meant a lot. Clare and I assume her partner were both very lovely people also, which is an added bonus, and their dogs are adorable. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you for having us 😊

Great cabin! We fell in love with the place and the surroundings. Very unique and enjoyable experience.

john is a very kind and helpful person. he taught me how to light my first ever bbq and was great conversation too. the shed itself is very cosy and peaceful. great views and feels private. very close to a beach, supermarkets and local attractions. well worth a stay! one of the best holidays i’ve ever had.

The chickens were the highlight for my toddler! Very quiet location, good parking, lovely coffee/ bread etc. Excellent host communication and easy check in!

We had a fantastic stay in the Shepard's hut. Janet it extremely welcoming and knows how to create a memorable experience. The hut is very cosy and warm and the breakfast was amazing. Highly recommended.

Great stay as always. Julian has put in some work to improve the cabin and they work well.

What a wonderful time we had. Started off with an easy check in with Allison Coming out to greet us. Which is always handy as nothing can go wrong. Made sure everything was alright and asked if we had any questions. Was a nice clean hut with everything you need. It’s in a peaceful area with a couple of lovely pubs around. Which are walkable. We went out for an hour and kindly Allison kept the hot tub going for us by putting more wood in, if it was needed. Very helpful host. Overall our experience was great and definitely would recommend if you want a chilled weekend away.
