We absolutely loved staying at Kirsty and Simon’s place! The studio was tidy and had everything we needed. While it’s semi near the road, there was no traffic at night so it was peaceful and quiet. Directly across the street is a beautiful short walk to the Brothers Point and beautiful rocky ocean spot. So many sheep and we saw a seal playing! While we didn’t get a chance to use yoga space which looked great the yarn store was incredible! Local natural and plant dyed yarns , that they dye themselves from foraged plants!!! Amazing little shop, amazing studio and amazing hosts! We’d love to stay again next time we’re on Skye ! :)

This is a fabulous place, and once we found it, we enjoyed every minute. The staff is helpful and made us feel welcome. The rooms are large, and staying in a castle is pretty special. My only complaint is that the description of where the unit is located is very misleading. We were told the apartment is "ON the Lews Castle grounds", which are over 600 acres. For travelers like us, completely unfamiliar with the castle, that's very confusing, and an accurate description would be more helpful and enticing. The unit is IN Lews Castle. And it's great!

We had a lovely couple of days break at Ian’s. He greeted us and gave us all the information we would need for a quick check in. If you enjoy quirky, scenic, historic, picturesque accommodation and timeless scenery, this is the place for you. We have two dogs and they absolutely loved it! Great skies at night and the hot tub wasn’t too shabby either. The best quirk is the floating bridge which in certain weather conditions can be fun. It offers a unique and playful side to this wonderful look back to a time when things were “simpler”.

The annex is a beautiful place to stay. Joanne has thought of absolutely everything to make this a wonderful home from home on the Island. It is finished to a very high standard but still comfy and cosy with lovely furnishings. Lots of extra touches like charging points by the bedside, generous bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Information about local walks and very near a great beach. Very dog friendly too.

In such a beautiful and peaceful location and the spectacular views can be enjoyed from all the windows. There was a log burner all set up ready to go which made the space feel very cosy. Felt very comfortable and relaxed the whole stay. Sarah was very friendly and incredibly helpful. She made our experience there even more perfect. We enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen to cook in as well as taking advantage of the local cafe and restaurants where we enjoyed locally caught scallops and langoustines. Totally recommend and hope to return one day.

We had a fabulous stay at Sue’s. The apartment was immaculate with stunning views. We ate once at The Applecross Inn and also cooked out on the beach … two fantastic meals ! We will definitely return and highly recommend Sue’s house to our friends.

Lews Castle was the perfect place to stay on the Isle of Lewis! The apartment unit was pristine and the General Manager stayed for our late arrival. The grounds surrounding the castle are walkable and beautiful. It is an easy walk to downtown Stornaway. This is a place we will come back to. I highly recommend this accommodation for your visit to Lewis! You won’t be disappointed!

We absolutely loved the flat. It is so spacious, with the bedrooms to one side of the stairs and the living area down a hall on the other side. There is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, plus a large box of toiletries in the main bathroom. There’s also a superb utility room complete with clothes hanging racks. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a delightful six night stay at Njord House. It was exactly what we wanted (remote and quiet, but accommodation of a high standard), and when we weren’t hill walking we were able to take advantage of the lovely environment that the property provides. It is very clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable and well equipped, and has lovely views over the loch through large floor to ceiling windows. Adelaide was a very attentive host, and communication was responsive and comprehensive. Very highly recommended. We would love to return.

Sheildaig cottage is a warm and well appointed cottage overlooking the loch. Stephen was an obliging and thoughtful host. The village of Sheildaig is beautiful and a nice spot for walks in the Torridon mountains. There is a nice little restaurant in the village and a cafe and general store. Sheildaig is a welcoming cottage to return to and relax in

Jamie’s house is in an incredible location with stunning scenery all around. We loved sitting out by the water and seeing seals fishing nearby. The house is beautifully designed and clearly a lot of thought has gone into curating each space of the house from the furniture to the art in each room - it’s really a pleasant home to stay in and I highly recommend staying here.

A wonderful few days at Braidholm. We loved everything about this beautiful air bnb; the warm and welcoming home and host, the stunning views, the very comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen, a coveted parking space, and the perfect location on this magical Isle. Thank you, we so look forward to returning!

Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Had all the extra bits you need. Cosy considering the weather and woodburner was nice. Bigger than in the pictures and accommodated 6 well. Couldn't get TV to work but a nice excuse not to have it on and sit and chat /play card games.

Diana’s place was perfect for our family holiday. The location is both tranquil and remote in the way we like but not far from interesting and beautiful places (Applecross, Torrodin, Plockton and Skye all less than an hour away). The house was comfy and looks right into loch Kishorn. It’s well equipped and there are great local amenities nearby in kishorn and loch carron. Milo (Diana’s partner) was a helpful and charming host and we would absolutely recommend this lovely house for a highland holiday.

Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

Werkelijk een uitzonderlijke plek om tot rust te komen op een uitzonderlijk eiland. We waren bijzonder onder de indruk van deze mooie plek. Het huisje blinkt uit in haar onberispelijke schoonheid. Van het gezellige vertoeven voor het haardvuur tot de mooie slaapkamer met dito uitzicht. Deze plek is wat ons betreft een aanrader.

A Truly Magical Stay on the Isle of Skye. This place is a perfect blend of the majestic and the deeply comforting—a haven where we felt both enchanted and completely at home. We highly recommend this gem! After long days of exploring the green, velvety hills of Isle of Skye, this Airbnb was the perfect home away from home to rest our travel-bones bones with a deep, luxurious bathtub that beckoned us to soak and the heated tile floors throughout. Diana even generously stocked the fridge with sourdough bread, eggs, and coffee. The highlight of our stay was the flowery gardens, babbling brooks, and exclusive access to a hidden beach bungalow. With two comfy beach chairs and a wood-burning furnace, it quickly became our favorite spot to enjoy breakfast and dinner in tranquility. Diana and Alan, were the epitome of hospitality, welcoming us with warmth and kindness, especially as an LGBTQIA+ couple, this meant the world to us. They are lovely. We are already dreaming of our return.

Rosie's place is paradise in Scotland. The view is of the water, pasture beside the house where Highland cows wandered. We were surrounded by Rosie's beautiful art. Its remote but that was the charm for us. The roads are windy and narrow to get there.

We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb! The space was absolutely spotless - meticulously (and I mean meticulously) clean and beautifully presented in every detail. The accommodation is finished to an incredibly high standard. It truly felt like a home away from home. Sam, the host, was amazing, from the initial booking to arriving on site, so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and hospitality made this one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend this accommodation highly enough and would absolutely stay here again. What an amazing place to come and stay! Not sure where to begin with the praise for this place. Hosts were amazing, everyone we met was outstanding and the landscape speaks for itself. We had some strong winds and rain during our stay and in some way that added to our experiences on this trip! 100% recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Rachel’s home. It was very easy to walk in to town, it was clean and quiet, and we had a good amount of space to unwind and unpack. Would definitely recommend! Thank you Rachel!

An absolute gem of a place. Great accommodation with phenomenal surroundings - brilliant views of the Torridon mountain range. The accommodation was clean, very spacious and catered to all our needs. Sam was an excellent host. Friendly and always responsive.
